“Steamin” Josh Beeman defeated Carlos “The Dragon” Candelario, Jr. by a majority decision in their four round light welterweight fight by two scorecards of 38-37 and one scorecard of 38-38. This fight was a tale of two halves with Candelario, Jr. dominating the first two rounds, attacking the body well, backing up Beeman and Beeman having trouble landing his punches.

Beeman turned things around in the third round as he outworked and out landed Candelario and then at the end of the round, he knockdown Candelario from a perfectly timed hard left hook. The fourth round was a close, but Beeman controlled more of it as he constantly beat Candelario to the punch.

Beeman from Providence, Rhode Island, with the victory improved his record to 5-13-4, 2KOs while Candelario from Woburn, MA, suffered his first professional defeat and fell to 3-1, 1KO. Beeman ended a 0-11-2 streak where he hadn`t won a fight in over five years, although he has fought good competition against the likes of Handy Lundy, Derek Silveira, Rashidi Ellis, among others.

“Changing the Game” was presented by Big Six Entertainment in association with Danny Kelly Promotions at the Royale Nightclub in Boston, Massachusetts.

Rashidi “Prince” Ellis, the 2012 National PAL Champion, scored three quick knockdowns in the first round against Aquilano Brandao and after the last knockdown, Brandao`s corner threw in the towel, ending the one sided fight at 1:53. Ellis upped his record to 2-0, 1KO with the technical knockout victory while Brandao dropped to 0-2, in this welterweight bout.

Ellis completely destroyed the Woburn, MA native who didn`t land a single punch, while Ellis landed whatever he wanted and connected on numerous powerful punches. Ellis from Lynn, MA, is a pugilist to look out for the near future, despite only having two professional fights, in large part due to his stellar amateur career.

Fadoul Louis from Lynn, MA by way of Haiti and K.J. Harrison from Providence, Rhode Island boxed to a hard fought majority draw in this super middleweight fight with Louis receiving a 38-37 scorecard and the other two scorecards were 38-38. This was the fight of the night as Harrison controlled the first two rounds by being the more active fighter who out landed and outhustled Louis. Louis` counter punching started to do damage in the next two rounds, as he opened cuts above both of Harrison`s eyes that began to bleed.

Louis badly hurt Harrison on several occasions in the fourth round; however, he hung in there until the final bell. Harrison was winning the fight on all three judges’ scorecards going into the final round, but all the judges gave Louis the fourth round, helping him earn the draw. Harrison is 2-0-1 while Louis is 3-1-2, 1KO.

Greg Vendetti improved his record to 4-0-1, 2KOs as he earned a four round unanimous decision over Sergio Cabrera, who was making his professional debut, by three scores of 40-36. Vendetti from Stoneham, MA dominated this light welterweight bout by landing the more numerous, effective and much harder punches throughout as Cabrera from Somerville, MA, didn`t offer much of anything in return, as he dropped to 0-1.

Julian Pollard, the former New England Golden Gloves Super Heavyweight Champion, scored two knockdowns in the first round against Antonio Assermelly in their heavyweight fight, from right hooks and after the second knockdown, Assermelly`s corner threw in the towel at 2:01. Pollard from Bridgewater, MA earned the technical knockout and improved his record to 3-0, 3KOs while Assermelly from Hopkinton, Rhode Island, was making his professional debut, fell to 0-1.

Donnie Palmer garnered his first professional victory as he defeated Aneudy Rodriquez by a third round technical knockdown after Palmer recorded his fourth knockdown of the fight, Rodriquez`s corner threw in the towel at 1:17. Palmer from Boston, MA scored three knockdowns in the second round after a quiet first. Palmer is 1-0-1, 1KO while Rodriquez from Lawrence, MA is 0-2, from this heavyweight bout.
