 Gennady “GGG” Golovkin LA Media PhotosWBA/IBA Middleweight World Champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin and undefeated heavyweight Mike “The Rebel” Perez spent this past weekend in Los Angeles where they held a media lunch for the Southern California press, attended the Julio Cesar Chavez Jr./Bryan Vera clash at the StubHub Center in Carson, California and were hosted on Sunday by two separate National Football League telecast outlets.

At the Manhattan Beach Marriott on Saturday, Golovkin and Perez along with K2 Promotions’ Tom Loeffler and their trainer Abel Sanchez discussed their November 2 fights in New York City and future plans in front of a massive turnout of area media.

Also joining them at the media lunch was undefeated cruiserweight Isa Akberbayev who will be fighting on the undercard at the November 2 event.

Saturday night, Golovkin and Perez sat ringside for the boxing card headlined by the Chavez Jr./Vera card where the large crowd very warmly received both, taking pictures and signing autographs throughout evening.

On Sunday, Golovkin and Perez were welcomed at the Fox Sports headquarters by legendary New York Giant and TV personality Michael Strahan.

Later in the day, Hall of Famer and three-time Super Bowl Champion Michael Irvin spent time with Golovkin and Perez at the NFL Network Headquarters.

Golovkin, 27-0-0 (24KO’s) will defend his titles for the 9th time against world ranked, contender Curtis Stevens, 25-3-0 (18KO’s), of Brooklyn, New York on Saturday, November 2 at Madison Square Garden, “The Mecca of Boxing”.

Perez, 19-0-0 (12KO’s) will challenge fellow undefeated heavyweight Magomed “Mago” Abdusalamov, 18-0-0 (18KO’s) in the co-featured fight for the WBC USNBC Heavyweight Title.

Both bouts will be televised Live on HBO®, beginning at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT

The event is presented by K2 Promotions in association with Main Events, GGG Promotions and Madison Square Garden.
