Ricky to host extra Hatton Academy workshop in January

HATTON ACADEMY is pleased to announce that fight fans have been given another chance to train with four-time world boxing champion Ricky Hatton this January.

Due to places on Hatton’s December 20 workshop selling out in just four days, ‘The Hitman’ has agreed to host a further session at Hatton Health and Fitness in Hyde, Greater Manchester on Friday January 17.

During the three hour workshop, Ricky will provide tips to participants which they can then take away and incorporate in their own training regimes. Those taking part will also receive a signed picture from Ricky to thank them for their attendance.

“I’ve been overwhelmed by the response for the December workshop and hosting another one in January means people don’t miss out,” Ricky said.

“I always enjoy the workshop days because not only do they allow me to teach people a few of things I picked up in my career, they’re always a fun way to meet people who love boxing as much as I do.

“The workshops we’ve done in the past have all been huge successes and I hope people went away from them having picked up some techniques they can use in their own training.”

Jon Eade, Hatton Academy’s training and educational director, said: “I’m delighted Ricky has agreed to give people another opportunity to get an insight into his training methods.

“Hatton Academy workshops are always popular because not only do they give people the chance to meet one of the most loved boxers this country has ever produced, they also get to learn from a top class trainer.”

Ricky and his Hatton Academy to apprear at BodyPower expo

RICKY HATTON will once again wow fans in the ring when the Hatton Academy returns to the BodyPower Expo 2014 this coming May.

‘The Hitman’ has put some of Hatton Promotions’ best boxers, including Gary Buckland and Martin Murray, through their paces at the three-day public event for the past few years.

The event, which attracts over 55,000 visitors to the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, will allow Hatton to demonstrate some of the techniques taught to personal trainers and group exercise instructors on his popular Hatton Academy courses.

Free back-to-back taster sessions will be run each day. The sessions will be taken by the academy’s master trainers and Ricky himself.

“I’m very much looking forward to attending BodyPower again because we got a lot out of being there in previous years,” Hatton said.

“There’s always a lot of fans at the expo so it’s a good chance to show them the things boxers go through in the run up to a fight.

“Since we launched the Hatton Academy, it’s gone from strength to strength and being at BodyPower will allow a few more people to get a feel for what our courses are about and what we can offer them.”

As well as being able to see the techniques Hatton used to get himself in shape during his illustrious career, visitors to the expo will also be able to enjoy talks and demonstrations from some of the world’s leading experts on health, nutrition and bodybuilding.

BodyPower Expo 2014 will take place between the 16th and 18th of May 2014. Details of events and ticket prices can be found at www.bodypowerexpo.co.uk

Visitor will be able to book onto the taster sessions on HattonAcademy.co.uk from January.
