Mayweather: Pacquiao fight will not happen as long as he’s still promoted by Bob Arum

Mayweather: “We all know the Pacquiao fight, at this particular time, will never happen, and the reason why the fight won’t happen is because I will never do business with Bob Arum again in life, and Pacquiao is Bob Arum’s fighter. Bob Arum gives Pacquiao a date, whereas Floyd Mayweather gives Floyd Mayweather his own date. I will be fighting again in May and I will be fighting again in September,” stated undefeated pound-for-pound Floyd Mayweather, who made it crystal clear that he won’t be fighting multi-division world champion Manny Pacquiao as long as he’s still promoted by Bob Arum. Mayweather has long had a strained relationship with Arum, after breaking free from his former promoter to start his own promotional company with the help of powerful adviser Al Haymon.

FLOYD MAYWEATHER SAYS ADRIEN BRONER SHOULD MOVE DOWN TO 140 AND FIGHT ON HIS MAY 3 UNDERCARD

Undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd “Money” Mayweather praised newly-crowned WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana, saying he was “the better man” in his title-winning performance last Saturday against the previously undefeated Adrien Broner. That being said, he also noted that perhaps Broner is not yet big enough to compete at welterweight. In fact, Mayweather thinks Broner should move down to the 140-pound division, and he has the perfect date for him to make his jr. welterweight debut. “I think what would be a good move for him is this. May 3rd, fight on my undercard; you know, fight a solid guy at 140, get back on track and get your career in order,” Mayweather added.

Video: Floyd Mayweather Talks About Mayweather Promotions

“I’m a little different from other promoters…it’s rough for fighters. The money, not for myself, but for fighters, is not what it once was. So, you know, you have guys that have rent due, car notes due, certain bills due…when I give fighters advances, all in all, I know that a fighter is supposed to return that advance, you know, once they get their fight check. It’s supposed to be deducted from their fight check, but I feel like if a young fighter hasn’t really made any money, why take money from them…every fighter should be happy,” stated undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd “Money” Mayweather, who explained the difference between Mayweather Promotions and other promotional companies.
