The other crime is obviously the quality of writing in this piece!!

But hey, this is east side boxing.

The big issue here IS NOT the reffing….IT IS THE JUDGING!!! When the fight was stopped, I had it 5-2 for Bondro. Teddy, in error, had it closer than that. Bondro, in rounds 5 & 6, was beginning to show some awful signs/body language. He was distracted by, and continually wiped at the cuts. And, he looked away as he did so. Also, he began to look to the ref and complained, looking for some sort of intercession. It clearly looked as if he was looking for a way out, even though he was definitely winning. This said, he still found places to suck it up and rally, even while his foundation was cracking. I was at the fight and it gives me a little different perspective…Bondro did not complain when the fight was initially stopped; it was minutes later when he approached ref Fitch center ring and initiated conversation. He was respectful, but the tone grew more intense as conversation continued. I felt ref Charlie Fitch was clear and concise in his comments. To me, the only crime here was the judging!!!

Watch the fight again and you could see that in the earlier rounds Bondorovas was already complaining about not being able to see ,,the ring side doctor had to wipe his eyes ,,it wasn’t the referee that order the pause in action ,it was Bondorovas who was complaining ,,guys you think you know boxing ,,but yet you guys can’t tell when a fighter wants to quit ..

What fight were you guys watching ,,Bondovovas was doing pretty good ,,but he was looking for a way out of the fight , if these bloggers would know anything about boxing ,they would realize that Bondorovas was starting to show sings of quitting ,,,

Shamefull stoppage

Total BS gift decision for the Mexican..

Vera should thank the ref for an undeserved TKO. He was losing 6 rounds to 1.

Shamefull stoppage

Horrible stoppage, Bondo never said he couldn’t continue and immediately told he Ref he could when the ref stopped the fight.. shameful.. The Ref was in on the fix from the beginning warning Bondo of border line low blows that where clean shots… Brian Vera is just another plodding head first Angulo type fighter with Zero defense.. he is a KO waiting to happen once he faces a guy that can punch.. Bondo had been out of the Ring for a few years and still was tagging Vera at will and winning more rounds… Shameful..

Bond never complained.

Vera was a 13 to 1 favorite. Some big bets must have came in for donatas. The sports books had too much too lose and paid off the judges and the ref.

How hard for people to open the eyes and look for the facts. For example upcoming Veras rematch with Alvado wasn’t the reason for a fight stoppage ?

Guys the referee did not stop the fight because Bondorovas was getting beat up ,,the referee stop it because Bondorovas did not want to fight any more ,,first you guys should learn how to spell ( ptyca)

I was not surprise of the stoppage ,,i could tell Bondorovas was going to quit ,,the referee did the correct call he could tell Bondorovas did not want to fight anymore ..

Jack Dempsey

The referee did the right thing ,,Bondorovas was looking for a way out of the fight ..Sure Bondorovas was doing well in the fight ,,but you could tell in the last couple of rounds he kept shaking his head ,,complaining about kidney punches and that he could not see .

FNF is having a rough run. Pretty amateurish corruption, put some make up on that hooker.

Vera was fortunate tonight. Bondorovas was doing all right.
