Ceballos is even slower and less co-ordinated than Abdusalamov. This match should be a laugh fest watching these clowns stumble all over the place until Mago lands one of his bombs.

he’s rated pretty high for someone who hasnt fought another contender.

Bears: I have a christmas present for you. Wlads jock strap. If you behave I will also give you Vitali’s jock strap. Come on mate seriously. I just want to see these undefeated guys 1) mix it up with other undefeated guys 2) mix it up with vetrans who are still fresh. Look at some of the records on the opponents of these undefeated fighters you will see they have lost alot more than they have won.

The sanctioning bodies need to force the top tens to fight eachother in mandatories like they make the champ take mandatories or strip them of their ranking

where is joe bugner when you need him? or at least joe palooka!

IMO dudes should beat a top 10 opponent to earn top 10 ranking. But given most rankings are bought anyhow and there’s some real sloths up there Mago is better than most for #4.

4th? Really? Based on that I once KOed a pizza boy (who had both hands full of boxes to deliver)…..I should be ranked top 10 and I wanna fight a Klitchko. See how easy it is?

Bears: they are not pizza delivery guys. That is an insult to pizza purveyors around the world. You take that back at once!

inside word has it that every time deontay wilder hears the name magomed abdusalamov mentioned he fly’s into a rage “i ain’t gonna get in the ring with that honky”

Posted April 6, 2013 11:27 am

Miatestomper

Match Magomed with Deontay Wilder so we can see a 6 foot 7 Wilder do the Chicken Dance

Sampson knows how to sell his man………but so does a second hand car salesman know how to sell his car!

“Impressive” win against Bisbel???……I must have been watching a different fight….Bisbel was bossing the fight until he got tagged by Magos power.
Mago is close to getting beaten ………and is not a contender…….an exciting puncher yes……..but not a contendor.

Wow. #4. Does anybody in the top 10 or 15 fight each other. Boyestev, Helinius, Chisora, Arreolla, Fury, Pulev, Wilder, Jennings, Price, etc… How often do the top guys fight each other? How about this, to maintain a fighters top 10 ranking he must fight 4 times a year , 3 of those fights must be against fellow top 10 fighters.

I stopped reading after “future heavyweight champion”.

Mago fears no one. But he’ll have to step it up 2 or 3 more bouts by the end of this year if he wants a top slot in 2014. I’d like to see him fight Pulev.

Magomed “Mago” Abdusalamov (17-0, 17 KOs) is a hard hitting heavyweight contender I give him that. But its not a secret that he is 32 years old and that means he will have a short time to make an impact in the heavyweight division and to have a “serius” chanse in a world heavyweight title fight. AT most I belive he have 5, highest 6 years of prime physical performance but becouse he enterd boxing very late in his career (2008) , his skills are very limited and he have so far a terrible defence and not the best balance witch will be a factor that if he don’t work up those serius flaws in his style, he will not get far. He also lacks serius ring expearence as his “best” victory on his record is a victory back in Septmber 2012 against an 42 year old past primed Jameel “Big Time” McCline who looked far from hungry to fight and still he put Abdusalamov down for a knockdown already in 1st round after about 22 seconds of fighting. Mogomed Abdusalamov mabey haves a chanse, I don’t know becouse its a bit to early to say annything else but he most improve his skills and fight better opponents win-or-lose to get more ring expearence. Altough I find it strange to see him ranked with that record of his and as high as nr.10# by WBA, 15# by IBF and crazy as nr.4# by WBC (?). Strange, strange I say so I hope he can back his ranks up soon.

He’s 32 they’re in a hurry….If he’s gonna do anything of notice it’s going to be in the next two years time…Whereas Wilder is still young enough to not take crazy chances with his limited skill-set…

TH that’s a honest assessment I agree, I think Mago’s people are trying to get him noticed and get a big money title fight asap, they must know he’s limited but I think its the right move it’s all about making the bucks, where as Wilder is being groomed and seen as the next big hope, they will want to keep that gravy train going for as long as possible It wouldn’t surprise me if he NEVER fights a Klitschko.

huckster

wilder-abdusalamov if wilder gets through “Dr. Jekyll – Mr. Hyde ” harrison.

Textbook Hayelord

Mago is exciting for sure but he tends to take a lot of shots and look incredibly slow and one paced until he gets the KO.
He won’t do anything at world title level but his fights are must watch fights for anyone who like knockouts and credit to him as he is actually fighting better opponents than Wilder despite looking more limited imo, therefore i respect him more.

Posted April 6, 2013 3:17 am

It’s Me, Ernie

I like Mago but he has little chance if any if he ever fights a live opponent. Just too much of a plodder and takes a lot of shots. He has been rocked a few times by bums.

rod…your right.Guys are getting ranked high because they have good power, and thats it???There are no real tests nothing to really point to and say yes he deserves what he has because of this or that or who he beat. This guy does look like a beast…but he also looks like he has very little skills aswell.

Posted April 5, 2013 11:50 pm

rod

Saying that this guy is a freaking beast, bears is correct. I just want to see the beasts mix it up. Arreola Stiverne should be fun

Posted April 5, 2013 11:42 pm

rod

Here is the funny thing. He beat one named fighter, Jameel Mccline and one undefeated fighter. Basically all the other guys were bums and now he is ranked right up there. I just dont get it. This is why we get crap fights and crap contenders.
