Remember his trainer Panama Lewis in the corner during the Arguello fight asking for a water bottle and saying, “Not that one, the one I mixed!” Since water is the only thing they’re allowed to consume, and it seems unlikely that he was mixing Avion with Britta, something illegal happened. Nevertheless, Pryor deserves to be in the HOF. Congrats!

As for Aaron Pryor, he is one of my all-time favorite fighters, as was Alexis Arguello. Pryor took something out of Arguello in their first fight. He finished taking it out of Alexis in their second fight. This is because Arguello always fought with all his heart. The only way he would quit is if somebody stopped him. Pryor did that. Viciously. Twice.

pryor was a human windmill in his day. i bet arguello in the first fight but aaron was too much for him. the fact is that alexis had nothing left but his heart in the rematch.

Aaron Pryor is an all-time great no doubt!!! People (mainly haters) only talk about the first Arguello fight and the dubious “give me the one I mixed” comment of Panama Lewis. Most however fail to remember that Pryor KOd Arguello even quicker in the rematch. Pryor was also one of the best amatuer boxers of all time. He was out-pointed by Howard Davis in the 1976 Olympic Trials that included Sugar Ray Leonard, the Spinks brothers, and Big John Tate. Howard Davis by the way was voted “Outstanding Boxer” of the Olympics that year. Pryor was the perfect blend of speed, power, and amatuer technique. If you watch his fights you will notice that although he was a whirlwind of action, every punch/combination starts with the jab…. basic fundamentals of boxing. Well done Mr. Pryor…. “It’s Hawk Time!”

Brazilian; If you actually believe that, with all due respect, I have to say you are dumber than rope.

Pryor´s two victories over Arguello were legitimate.

He used PEDs in his fight with Arguello where he won in the 14th. His corner, Panama lewis gave him something that helped him breather better and gave him energy.
