It’s Me Ernie

no clue-Agree he was one hell of a resilient warrior. It’s truly amazing he is doing so well after all the wars. I sure wish I could say the same for the schoolboy…

Lopez had one of the best chins i have ever seen on any boxer in any weight class… Sanchez just about hit him with a kitchen sink and Lopez just shrugged it off… The amount of punishment he took in 2 fights vs Lopez and in a fight against my all time fav School Boy Chacon was out of this world .. glad to see he still has his senses all to himself

Danny Lopez was one of the most exciting fighters of all time. He could take back a losing fight with one punch, even against top notch oppposition. Like so many west coast feathers of that era, he had too many tough fights, but he gave value for the money. I’m glad to see him get some attention at Canastota.

Loved Lopez. One of my alll time favoirites. Hated to see him lose to Sanchez, but became a huge Sanchez fan after their second fight.

wasn’t “Little Red” only famous because he was red-headed and light-skinned? oh wait(?). wrong redhead. that’s what ESB’s resident moron insists is the case for Canelo. anyway, Lopez was plenty gitty and explosive but with a defense so porous that the likes of Chacon and Sanchez simply couldn’t miss. still one of the most exciting fighters that ever stepped into an L.A. boxing ring.
