did you see the fight? Sammy didn’t win it, felix the cat lost it. he did absolutely nothing for 9 rounds and let a fringe contender out hussle him. felix should be rightly embarresed about his performance. as for the caffeine issue, you are right, Sammy should have known better. but he didn’t improve since he lost to the mouth mundine, felix was just lethargic and spiritless and awful. Sammy one the fight clearly and ended felix’s career in the process. sam is good guy and I tend to believe him when he says he didnt intentionally do wrong. but intentions means sweet FA. if you drank it and tested positive….live with the consequences Sammy my boyPosted April 17, 2013 10:02 am

DEEBROWN has the beatPosted April 17, 2013 8:25 am
Man oh man! Why don’t they just drink a strong ass coffee! lol and hydrate hard along the way lol I mean who buys some unknown caffeine drink when they don’t know squat about it.. there i red bulll etc
And jeez if his sleep pattern was disturbed and not going well, why not just crash and sleep and then train hard as hell and maybe take a sleeping pill next time your scheduled to sleep???
The “DRINK” in question sounds like some mask to what is really going on. He lost his first bout to loud mouthed Mundine in I think 2007? or 08? Near there.. and no way could he have improved this much at age 39 when he was declining fastPosted April 17, 2013 6:24 am
“The manufacturers and distributors always claim they contain no banned substances for athletes” Well, maybe, Tark, I mean maybe Soliman isn’t lying. But he’s a pro boxer. As you know the ultimate responsibility lies with him. He also has the option to not buy any of that health food stuff at all. Besides there are plenty of energy drinks available that contain only caffeine and vitamins. And usually, the manufacturers websites list every substance in their supplements. Anyways, Sam purchased it “to help counter the effects of broken sleep during training.” Heck, he could have bought a bottle “5-hour Energy” drink at 7-11, draknk that and been legal. Or he could eat some extra carbs for sustained energy. Oh well, it’s done. But I still think “they didn’t tell me” is a copout.Posted April 16, 2013 8:35 pm
Whatever the excuse, bottom line he’s confirming he did in fact test positive to a PED. Whether he knew it or not is irrelevant. It’s his job to know what he’s putting in his body and if his supplements have any banned substances in them.Posted April 16, 2013 6:57 pm
At the beginning he said, that there was nothing. And now he is looking for excuses. Everyone in amateur sport (and of course also in professional sport) has to look every day, what he is eating and drinking. Thats reality. Quite naive what Soliman is saying now.Posted April 16, 2013 3:41 pm
Hey, That’s My Bike!!!
Oh well, I guess Sturm can come to Australia and get his ass kicked by Geale again. Waste of time, we want Geale, Golovkin, Pirog and Martinez to be unifying.Posted April 16, 2013 3:38 pm
Yeah gotta go with he cheated. Terrible. Now he’s trying to say it shouldn’t be a banned substance. You wanted the testing and now you have to live with the findings. You can’t go and try and change there rules. They have a list of banned substances and that’s what you came up dirty forPosted April 16, 2013 12:05 pm
This will teach Sam to buy obscure over-the-counter stimulants or supplements. The manufacturers and distributors always claim they contain no banned substances for athletes—but they’re often lying their asses off. Dozens of professional athletes have tested positive for banned substances because of the cheap PED’s secretly added to these junk over-the-counter products to boost their temporary effectiveness.
I pick up “Stay Awake” caffeine tablets at Walgreens if I’m flying to Europe, Asia, or Australia. They work like crazy to banish sleepiness and jetlag. They pass any PED test out there. Boxers who pop one or 2 before a fight never test positive for anything.Posted April 16, 2013 10:58 am
“after being assured by the supplier and the manufacturer it did not contain a banned substance” Soliman is such a liar.Posted April 16, 2013 10:21 am
So lemme get this straight. He took a caffeine STIMULANT formula drink to help him with his sleeping pattern?? hahah BS. The man is a cheater. His style is built around applying pressure and coming forward all night long and This is the reason he CHEATED. It was the perfect drug for his style. All you silly ausies and brits blaming zee evil Germans can officially eat crow now.Posted April 16, 2013 9:47 am
