Caneo wins by UD or late round stoppage. He will be too strong for Trout, and will beginning taking Trout apart in the middle rounds. Trout doesn’t possess enough power to keep Canelo off of him. Trout will get his shots off also, but his won’t damage Canelo. Trout has experience, boxing skills and has been in bigger fights than Canelo, but it won’t be enough. Canelo will have a lot of fans in the crowd as well as all of Mexico cheering him on. Plus, he wants revenge for his brother. Canelo wins this. I like Trout a lot, and hope he wins, but not tonight. Canelo’s star shines brighter tonight.

Losers like you talk about what other people’s posts because they have no ideas of their own.

Hmm… Floyd made 56 million when he fought Mosley… Not an Hispanic last time I checked… Pacquiao is not an Hispanic — if that fight had been made at the right moment, they both might have cleared 100 million.

Posted April 20, 2013 3:33 pm

Ratchet

That doesn’t change anything about Floyd needing a Hispanic to sell. Even Floyd admitted it. He calls it “mayday”, which is a a Mexican holiday. Why not fight on 4th of July??? Floyd will always been known as a ducker, cherry picking, fraud.

I c a good close fight but i hear alot about Trouts great defense and i just didnt c it in the Cotto fight. I think Canelo wont have trouble landing clean shots and he will wear Trout down. I like Trout but yes im still bitter about the bogus wide margins in the Cotto fight lol 7-5 wouldve been acceptable 11-1 give me a break.

Why is FM even being tossed around in this thread? I’m guilty too. But FM is fighting Guerrero at 147 next month and this fight is at 154. Sure, FM holds some freaking version of the 154 lb WBA strap (that Trout is defending tonight), but he’s never mentioned fighting Canelo or Trout as far as I know. And neither of these guys are comparable to FM now, or when he was their ages. Enjoy Trout Canelo for what it is, a damn good fight between two of the best 154 pounders in the world. It’s going to be a great fight.

Happy Boy – Read my prior posts… I clearly said I’m a long time fan of FM jr. My comment was saying that FM can sell over a million PPV’s no matter who he’s fighting. As for the grandma comment… look at his past and you’ll see my point.

forreal

This fight is very difficult to predict, both fighters are pretty evenly matched and i believe it will come down to conditioning & endurance.I’ll say Trout by decision if it goes the distance.

Posted April 20, 2013 1:01 pm

SREDMOND

HappyBoy watching these irrational bigots burn at the stake and make wild claims is truly a joy to behold…ie Floyd needs anyone to succeed? If these guys think another fighter should be more popular then stop making excuses, get in your 18 wheelers, pickup trucks and trailers and buy the guys fights.. Other than that hating FMJ for being the face of boxing is weakness personified.

Posted April 20, 2013 11:30 am

SREDMOND

I like Canelo and I think he’s gonna be around for awhile… But he has still not booked a solid win over a prime fighter in his weight class… Trout has a better name on his resume than Canelo, that Moseley win was laughable Shane had not booked a win in YEARS…Cotto despite losing to Fliyd was still the favorite against Trout… Floyd had been knocking out guys like Corrales and Genaro Hernandez by the time he was around Canelos age… He’s older and has less fights but even Guerrero has accomplished more than Alvarez…The best “name” on Canelos resume is a Floyd Mayweather leftover who had not won in 3 fights (Shane) and was considered SHOT…There are other fighters with fewer bouts than Alvarez who are P4P fighters Donaire, Ward… Mistaking Canelos popularity for being FMJ or his heir apparent is amateur hour closest thing to that operating is undefeated Andre Ward who has dominated the best in his division…

Exiled Yank – that post makes you the moron.

canelo will win by bodyshot in 7

Posted April 20, 2013 11:02 am

Exiled Yank

FM could fight his grandma and sell 1.5 million ppv’s. Unfortunately, he’s such a moron that he’d do it.

Posted April 20, 2013 8:44 am

Exiled Yank

Da Man – you’re right, a 22 year old FM couldn’t sell 38 k seats, hell, he couldn’t sell 10k in his hometown, I distinctly remember that. But, look at FM’s record and Canelo’s record at 22. Canelo isn’t even in the same stratosphere. I take nothing from Canelo, but don’t base a man’s accomplishments in the ring on the number of tickets he sells. FM had said all along Arum was the reason he wasn’t selling tickets. His first fight without Arum was Gatti and he sold a crap load of PPV buys, and ever since then he’s been racking the numbers up. And you can’t say he’s living off other fighters’ names on PPV, because he is too consistent for that to be the case. If you want to compare FM and Canelo, look up boxrec. There is no comparison at all.

Posted April 20, 2013 8:38 am

Exiled Yank

38 k fans is impressive. We all know they are for Canelo, but hell, Trout gets to experience it too.

“Canelo will take floyd I he gets through trout” Is that a good one. In other news, Obama will take Putin if he gets past Michelle.

Posted April 20, 2013 8:13 am

SREDMOND

Trying to project ANY 22 year old fighter into FMJ’s success is utterly crazy… Canelo is a kid with a lot of promise, we have seen this before.. What we have NOT seen is a guy move thru 5 weight classes undefeated and still having every twat imaginable whining when he fights guys 4, 7 and 10 years younger (Cotto, Ortiz, and Guerrero) the excuses will never stop but that FAT contract assures the $$$$$$$ won’t either!! Good for FMJ!

TARK

De La Hoya has positioned himself to suck money out of Boxing… He’s built an automatic money machine — so he’ll probably be a billionaire before he’s done.

Of course he’s not going to be among the Top-10 boxers of all time. Floyd won’t be as rich, but he may finish on the top of the list of ATG’s

Posted April 20, 2013 5:11 am

The Low Blow !

Trout ! Trout !

Posted April 20, 2013 4:52 am

TARK

Floyd will fight the winner of this fight if he beats Guerrero… I think Floyd has a 97% chance to beat Guerrero — but I’d buy a lottery ticket if there were a 3% chance I could make 20 million dollars.. You take your shot.. Guerrero would make at least that much in his next fight if he beats Floyd … Robert is a very devious man, who will do anything to win. Floyd has to keep a sharp eye out for any funny stuff.

Posted April 20, 2013 3:38 am

Ratchet

Floyd does need to catch up money wise. Never heard of Oscar owing back taxes. Floyd still needs a Hispanic to sell otherwise he would be fighting the best, not just another hyped up mexican. He needs to learn from Pacquiao, even if he lost to Marquez he beat the best in their primes even if they weren’t draws.

Posted April 20, 2013 2:47 am

HHLondon

Floyd dont need to catch Oscar, he beat him up and is worth more net.

Posted April 20, 2013 2:23 am

HHLondon

Canelo cant do five weights like Floyd, so the comparison is pathetic. Stop being ignorant punanis!

Alverez has an audience, live gate, some scope at 22.

Watch this kid step up tomorrow night and throw two hands at the most one-win overrated ordinary nobody!

Alverez is about to remind everyone that Southpaws are hated far worse than Gingers!

Posted April 20, 2013 2:22 am

Ratchet

Floyd will never catch up to Oscar de la Hoya but canelo will eventually surpass mayweather if he cherry picks his opponents like fraud does. We all know Floyd needs a Hispanic to sell otherwise he’d be broke.

Posted April 20, 2013 1:35 am

BEARS

Canelo will take floyd I he gets through trout. Floyd will dodge him and throught the course of a year some ortiz, guerrero type will emerge from 120 pounds and fight fraud at 147. Garbage script

Ali was very intelligent, he would travel the World, go on talk shows and shut the interviewers up with his intellect, Mayweather couldn’t talk his his way out of a wet paper bag.

You don’t have to “get it” that’s the beauty of FACTS they trump opinions, intuitions, gut feelings and biases…

Posted April 20, 2013 12:15 am

SREDMOND

At the end of the day Canelo, and Trout are both dreaming of a Mayweather bout because of the enormous pot… Every fighter under the sun has called out FMJ… Pretending that Canelo or anyone else is FMJS equal at the gate is pure ignorance and immaturity unsupportable by facts and figures…85 mill in one fiscal year Canelo can’t even count that high… Call us when he’s on PPV!

Posted April 20, 2013 12:12 am

SREDMOND hasn’t transcended his own household, reason for that, an idiot.

Posted April 20, 2013 12:11 am

Mayweather an attraction, don’t get it, he is not Ali, who transcended Boxing.

Posted April 20, 2013 12:06 am

SREDMOND

HaHaHa you guys would rather sell tickets and make 4 million while Mayweather clears 45 million for one nights work?? Ahhhh no one who buys his bouts is a boxing fan??? LMAO! The retarded theories abound I don’t listen to Bieber or Lady Gaga but to say they have no fans is preposterous !!! Canelo is a very good young fighter but he can’t scratch Floyd’s balls as an attraction hence Mayweather making more in a year than Canelo will in 15….reality

Boxing fans trump the cost of tickets, whose buying the Mayweather tickets, most of them are not really Boxing fans, bandwagon jumpers, that’s my theory anyway, imo.

Posted April 19, 2013 11:26 pm

SREDMOND

You fools think that Canelo is outdrawing Mayweather with $20 tickets? If FMJ setup an arena and charged those prices he could do 200,000 peeps… But those of us who understand this game know that 1.25 million buys at $70 trumps the arena chump change… That’s why EVERYONE wants to face FMJ!
