I think Burns will be very up for this fight after the Vazquez cancellation and getting stick for dodging Broner. I’ve never seen this kid but if he can punch harder and faster than Katsidis, Moses or Martinez then maybe he can win – but I think Ricky will be on the money for this one – should be good while it lasts tho.

Junior: I’m in 100% agreement with you. I just ache back to the day’s when true champions such as “Sugar”Ray Robinson, Muhammad Ali ect took there title’s on World tours. WBA/IBF champion Brian Mitchell was a prime example of a road warrior. I also believe that young up & coming prospects could do with fights overseas, I’d like to see more young un’s from Australasia, Europe & the America’s fighting in the UK & vice versa.

Burns has a great chance to win a local decision, but he will be KO by Chelo. Go Chelo!

I live on the Island, seen “Chelo” fight both in person and on TV, have copies of about a dozen of his fights. Have spoken to him on numerous occasions, nice kid, no doubt, with deep spiritual beliefs. BUT… that won’t be enough. He had a relatively short amateur career and has been fed a steady light diet of caliber opposition. He’ll give it his all but… Burns will win. His only hope is a sudden KO because talent-wise, he’s over his head. And.. I HOPE I HE PROVES ME WRONG!! GO CHELO!!

Mick i sometimes feel your hard on our guys for not travelling. Mayweather, Hopkins, Roy Jones, Broner, Andre Ward………… the list goes on. None of them leave America

It’s about time Burns got his passport out & started looking for unification. At this rate he’s just gonna go down in Boxing folk law as another protected British home town hero!

@Powerhouse. Go and check Gonzalez’s record on boxrec. He does have a punchers chance, but that’s just boxing, the last 8 or 9 guys on his record all have heavy losses on there records fighters with record like 17 wins and 9 losses. Burns by UD
