I guess he’s 29-0 with 29 knockouts now.

Wilder deserves credit for staying busy: 6 bouts in 2012 and 6 more in 2013. This will be his 3rd bout in 2014. He’s also livened up interest and controversy within the heavyweight division. Go Deontay!!

Wilder made some classy comments on Harrisons retirement. Hopefully he will learn how to act outside the ring and like wlad and vitali. They are pure class.

Good to see Price getting a rematch and wilder fighting dangerous opponent. Fury vs Pulev is a great matchup. Mago is also out there, stiverne a little over weight but a beast. There is a new a new pool of talent emerging. 6 to 12 months and we will have some really hot contenders.

If there have been precedents of fighters who have not defeated another HOFer then the Klitschkos (Plural) should be as eligible as them. Otherwise
any who are already HOFers with no history of beating another HOFer should be removed from the list. You should take that up with the IBHOF Supreme Court.

WOW! One day he’s going to jail for attempted murder and the next day he’s
fighting Cisora in a month.

The World Wide Web is a democratic level field….
Nobody would help a “Fraud” here…No senator, or congress man’s phone call….No police intimidation; no professional harassment…
Every poster is on his own!
Under these circumstances, we can tell with high confidence who is WHO…
Whether one is a drop-out, or an “empty suit” who has been thriving in a rolling field….

Supreme Court

In a case where you have to show evidences, then you shoot off with premisses like: “I dont’think….bla bla bla ” or “there is probably….”

This is not BoxingNews where shallow posters thrive like dandelions in a fertilized lawn….

The Highest Court is Supreme for a reason.
The Highest Court says ” No one fighter should be considered All Time Great if he had not defeated a single great fighter (as evidenced by the Hall of fame status) in his entire career. PERIOD!
I challenge any peckerwood to deconstruct the above statement.

Wladimir and Vitali have had a good career; they dominated their era.
Their dominance , came coincidentally at the end of a great era (Tyson, Holyfield Lennox). There was a transition between the two era, and …Interestingly , Both Wladimir and Vitali (who were already professionals when Tyson, Holyfield, Lennox were still at their peak….Just you know,,,) lost against the 2nd tier of the previous era (Sanders, Byrd…).
Both Wladimir and Vitali records combined, they only faced a HOFer once, and guess what!
They were TKOed!
Nuff said!

I imagine Wlad will go down as one of the top heavies, but this division does hurt him. But if he keeps on and breaks Holmes’ record or gets close to Louis’, then he will have made his mark. He’s not the GOAT, or anything near it, but he’s made a bunch of defenses and there really anyone to threaten his reign. The only person who had a chance wussed out and whined of a stubbed toe at the end of the night.

Well GOAT means “greatest of all time” doesn’t it? All time great is more like ATG. A hall of famer is an HOFer then I guess. Anyway I don’t think Bob Foster ever beat another HOFer, there’s probably more.

It wouldn’t have been a charge for attempted murder if the bail was just $15,000, maybe assault. But if she dropped any and all charges then I wouldn’t be surprised if she got a lil pay off, then againjust conjecture. Tyson paid off a few.

I love Wladimir and he’s obviously an all time great but I think the title picture at HW has gone stale from 2011 to 2013. I thought it was really good between 2008 and then because the Klitschkos were making history and Wladimir was cleaning out the division. There was also added excitement because Haye had a belt and people genuinely thought he could beat them. Since Wladimir fought Haye I think his opponents have been terrible. We need to see Povetking, Fury or Wilder and a Haye rematch. That’s just my take

Posted May 9, 2013 4:00 am

bill patrice jones

In my opinion neither Price nor Wilder’s power is at all overrated. It has that scary looking quality. I would like to see either fight Wladimir because even though they would lose by stoppage there would be a real tension solely because we know they can knock him out. You saw Wacht wobble Wladimir with just about the only punch he landed. Get these prospects fighting every 2 months and get a Klitschko fight made.

Posted May 9, 2013 3:55 am

There’s no better fight for Deontay right now than to coax Samiel Peter out of retirement with a decent purse offer. Peter cares only about bank now. He lives a very comfortable privilidged life in a Vegas mansion but is open to offering out his name for prospects to make that extra 100,000. Deontay could get a BIG name on his record and also get well known in Europe because Peter is a big name there. Peter won’t come to the fight at all motivated so provoding Wilder is not stupid he could get a stoppage win.

Posted May 9, 2013 3:51 am

TEAM KLITSCHKO

SCOTT GIRLFRAUD WOULD BE THE PERFECT MATCHMAKER FOR WILDER. CALLING OUT FIGHTERS WHO HAVE ALREADY A FIGHT LINED UP -> MITCHELL, BANKS,JENNINGS, FURY,PRICE ! AND THEN SAY THAT THEY ARE ALL COWARDS. WELL CHISORA MADE AN OFFER TO WILDER BUT HE PULLS OUT BECAUSE LOCATION IS AN ISSUE. I THOUGHT WILDER LOVES TO FIGHT IN UK WHY IS THE LOCATION SUDDENLY A PROBLEM ?

Posted May 9, 2013 3:15 am

TEAM KLITSCHKO

DEONTAY ” THE STRANGLER” WILDER . MAYBE ITS A CONSPIRACY THEORY BY GBP TO DUCK A POSSIBLE FIGHT AGAINST CHISORA . CHISORA IS A REAL THREAT TO WILDER AND GBP KNOWS IT . THEY HAD EXCUSES THAT LOCATION WILL BE AN ISSUE. WELL I THOUGHT WILDER LOVES TO FIGHT IN UK WHY SUDDENLY THE LOCATION IS A PROBLEM ? GBP IS SIMPLY A BUNCH OF COWARDS AND LIARS. IF WILDER WANTS TO GET A WORLD TITLE SHOT THEN HE HAS TO BEAT AT LEAST ONE TOP 10 FIGHTER . THEY CANT DUCK ANYMORE TOP FIGHTERS SOON. THEREFORE A FIGHT AGAINST CHISROA WOULD BE THE PERFECT STEP UP FOR WILDER AT THE MOMENT .

Proud African.. No, I think Price is better than him. Not only can he punch, and has proven it at a higher level, but he can also box. And that’s coming from someone who has telling anyone who would listen that Price’s chin was very suspect indeed. If Wilder shows great improvement, that he can beat good quality opponents without looking like Frankenstein’s monster’s more cumbersome brother, then I’ll give him the credit he deserves.

Ike did a HELL of a lot more. He kidnapped her with a weapon and almost killed her. He is fking bonkers. Dez Bryant of the Cowboys got a domestic battery charge and arrested for hitting his mother with a baseball hat. Not cool but she was no angel. I will hold off. Anytime you have someone with money or the promise of obtaining it ……it is battery or domestic battery for small things. When broke Noone calls the police and battery becomes an argument you blow off. If he did bad…..we will know then I will attack him.

Icherypick – The article said nothing about a woman, only domestic assault. You all immediately assume it means a woman, but that’s not necessarily the case. If he did smack around a woman, then he needs to spend a little time in the pokey. It’s all rumor and speculation at this point.

Posted May 8, 2013 7:33 pm

Tark, I seem to recall Ike took the girl on a car ride and deliberately ran into a wall or some crap. And at some point he held her hostage in a bathroom. Maybe I have my stuff a little mixed up, but it was a hell of a lot more than extorting a hooker.

Supreme Court

Refreshing to see that the majority of posters on this thread have adopted a cautionary approach….
In the absence of facts, there one that stands out though:
The amount of the jail bond, $15,000!
It tells you right there it is not considered a “major accusation”!
The word “strangulation” has probably been selected by a D-student writer hoping to “land a title with a thud”.
$15, 000 is relatively low…

Yes we do need to wait for facts.I dont mind trash talking building up a fight…like Ali did or Fury likes to do.But when you have thug like actions like hurting women or bashing people in the face outside the ring, that only shows a complete idiot unworthy of fans.Real tough fighters settle their fights inside the ring and respect the non-fighters outside the ring knowing they could kick their ass anyway. Some idiots like this stuff and think its badass only showing their own cowardly ways.I willnt judge Wilder untill the facts come in…but I hope he shows us hes a man and not some fool.

Ibeabuchi got sent away for sexual aggression against a woman who worked in the sex industy… She went to his hotel room for that purpose.. So why would you assault a woman who’s supposed to do you? The first time this happened I believe it was extortion. Ike’s management reportedly gave the woman an undisclosed amount of money and she retracted charges… When it happened again they said, “You’re on your own this time.” … Maybe they asked for a lot more.. I wonder if the same group is working this again with Wilder? … Whatever works.
