Another soft touch for burns Saturday showed when he fights anyone half descent he doesn’t stand a chance I don’t expect to see him box anyone good in the near future it’s laughable

Not only is the author of this piece a thoroughly untalented writer but the article is so biased that it’s laughable. Burns has had “too many soft fights” already? In his time at super featherweight he beat a previously unbeaten WBO world champion in Martinez and a former world champion in Nicky Cook. At lightweight he outboxed highly rated Michael Katsidis and his last 3 opponents had only lost 2 fights between them. Show some objectivity, for your own credibility if nothing else.

Public Enemy… I used to take most of your comments tongue in cheek because of the Mexican wind up stuff. Are you seriously saying that Gonzalez never swallowed and quit??? I’ve rarely seen such a classic case of it in 45yrs on this planet. Have you even seen the fight??

Agree in that don’t think Burns v Rees is any good other than a stay busy fight for Burns, but Rickster has a heart as big as a lion as he showed on Saturday night,Niether Thompson,Vazquez or big head Broner will knock him out cold, another anti British fighter writer

Public Enemy

Ricky Burns is a bum, he was soundly beaten by this unknown guy??? Lucky for Ricky Gonzalez hurt his hand or he’d of definitely lost that fight..

i now think Hearn’s is going to milk Burns and after Saturday he’s not going to take any risks with him… He’s lucky Gonzalez had a bad wrist and quite. Hearn’s would have had egg on his face if Burns had lost…. I’d say rematch but Hearn’s and Burns no they got lucky hence putting forward Gavin Rees. Burns and Hearn’s should look to get Boner over to Scotland… but they know better than to take that fight.
