It seems to be the understanding that Froch will beat Kessler, based on hometown advantage and his latest journeymen wins.
When Froch stepped up twice, he lost to Ward and Kessler, rather clearly.
If you believe in the premise that Froch can’t Ko a big tough Smw, like Kessler, I don’t see how he can win.
I don’t believe for a second that Froch vs Kessler 2, will look the same as the first fight, where both boxers, where rather weak looking. It is not normal for Froch to be stalked, and it is not normal for Kessler to brawl.Posted May 19, 2013 3:13 pm
Because Cleverly is LESSER than Froch in the Sport of Boxing. Thats why.Posted May 19, 2013 2:45 pm
Why Bhop not calling out fellow 175lb ers? why not Cleverly?Posted May 19, 2013 2:35 pm
BET NATHAN CLEVERLEY is displeased. He thought he was a shoe-in for a shot at B-Hop, but truth is for whatever reason, Nathan is just not attractive enough at elite level to risk an L to!Posted May 19, 2013 12:10 pm
just because Calzaghe beat him means froch probably wants to prove that he can do better.Posted May 19, 2013 8:52 am
Swedish Boxing Fan
Carl Froch is the one who should jump up to 175 Light heavyweight class to fight Bernard Hopkins. Hopkins is 48 years old, a recognised defedning world champion, Hall of Famer and a legend. Hopkins is great but to old now to fight a prime Carl Froch.Posted May 19, 2013 8:48 am
Why is Hopkins still considered a big fight? Why is it that as soon as anyone wins a belt at LHW they start getting connected with a “big fight” against this guy who hasn’t “fought” in years, has been exposed at LHW by anyone who can actually fight and doesn’t even bring any fans?Posted May 19, 2013 8:33 am
Putting aside that it is a bit early for Froch to plan further fights, I mean, there would be no point in fighting Froch, when he loses to Kessler.
Froch is a clever fighter, he has shown this, but Hopkins, at a catchweight, is not a good fight for Carl, or Mikkel. Hopkins is a dirty fighter, who seems to give any fighter problems, with his holding and overall dirty tactics.
The promoters behind Kessler and Froch, are gunning for a rematch against Ward, they both said so. Before any of the Ward fans jump to the conclussion that a rematch would end the same way, we know that every fight is different, one punch can change the game. Remember Marquez vs Pacman 5.Posted May 19, 2013 8:11 am
B Red @ why on earth should Froch be ashamed of himself? Froch never asked Flopkins for a fight, right? Flopkins asks Froch for a big payday in UK as Flopkins cannot make any money of note in the US. If you ask another fighter for a fight then you cannot put up all kinds of own rules.Posted May 19, 2013 5:37 am
Eleanore the Hag
Froch would murder him.Posted May 18, 2013 10:58 pm
Still many great fights at 168. He doesn’t need to leave for a catchweight. Kessler, either Dirrell, Stieglitz, Chavez jr., Ward, Edwin Rodrigues, …Posted May 18, 2013 10:13 pm
I just lost respect for a fighter i truly admired. Froch should be ashamed of himself not wanting to fight a 48 year old man at 175.Posted May 18, 2013 9:36 pm
