Cool yes… Good? NO.Posted May 23, 2013 1:19 pm
TARK: This is one of these rare situations, where there isn’t a correct word, in a comment. Well done.
Andrade, Mundine, Beyer, Magee, even the Calzaghe who was on the verge of being Koed by 3 heavy uppercuts, against Kessler, would honestly say that Kessler is as cool a fighter, as they come.Posted May 22, 2013 9:12 am

Froch had Kessler going all right.. The referee broke it up every time Kessler attempted to grab.. If one fighter has a hand free you let them fight.. Go back to his slick boxing??? Kessler is as slick as a loaded jab.. This is going to be another brawl.. I kind of liked Calzaghe’s critique of both men.. He said Kessler was a robot who couldn’t duck or slip a punch, and had no inside game.. He said Froch fights like an amateur and gets hit with everything.
Kessler has had excellent sparring for this fight.. Both Groves and Cleverly can box better than Kessler by leaps and bounds.. I think you learn more from boxing with fighters of this caliber than you do in actual fights because you get to try so many things over and over again, until they’re instinctive. Getting Brits to spar for you is a fantastic way to give Carl the needle.. Kessler is a very serious man, even if he can’t box worth a nickle … If the fight is anything like the last one Froch will win.Posted May 22, 2013 12:24 am
I have some questions, understanding that we all like both fighters:
Froch won the first fight? No he lost every round, but one, if you disregard Froch touching Kessler with his long arms, all through the fight!
This time, injury free, Kessler has to come back to his slick boxing, jab, jab jab, one two combination, move, wait for the right moment, and uppercut Froch, when he is coming forward, end of fight.
Kessler has to start fast, and put Froch in his place.
I agree -it is like a lot of Froch fans see Kessler as being Bute, you,ve got another thing coming …Posted May 21, 2013 5:58 am

dwc… You’re right.. Both TV commentators, Al Berstein and his buddy had Froch beating Kessler the first time. I had Froch winning 116-112. He had Kessler going at least 3 times but the referee interfered and broke non-clinches when Kessler was in trouble and Froch had an arm free to punch.. Kessler had more touches but Froch did more damage with the punches he landed.. I think Kessler will be better for this one — and Froch will be MUCH better. Ward has had a long layoff, and I think the first one to get him next may have a conditioning and strength advantage over him.Posted May 20, 2013 4:34 pm
Froch seems to be coming over as a bit of a knob head just lately, don’t know why he’s a top bloke and an excellent fighter ,hope he hasn’t got it in to his head that this is going to be another Bute fight,I think I’m in the minority but I think Kessler is the better man and if Carl just comes forward in straight lines Kessler will punish him.i also don’t like the way they both keep having digs at Ward,S.O.G beat them both easy and would beat them both again.Posted May 20, 2013 2:50 pm
Been a very good year for boxing and this fight will just add to it. I like Froch as I thought he won the first one by the slightest of margins but it could have gone either way, even a draw. I think Kessler isn’t as good as he was at that time and Froch as good if not a little better. Froch is a better boxer than people want to credit him for and a lot more clever. I also like how he fights EVERYONE. Every fighter has his attitude boxing would be in a golden age.Posted May 20, 2013 2:15 pm
boxing barlow…I like Froch but not a huge fan Im not even from the U.K. But I thought Froch edged out a close win…if it was in England he most likely have gotten the nod.And its true the press judges at ringside had Froch the winner…Im sure if you google it something might come up about the score cards that night from the press judges having Froch the winner.Posted May 20, 2013 1:33 pm
Really looking forward to this one. I thought the first fight could have gone either way, but somehow I feel Froch will have a little too much this time around, although these are two of the guys that best represent the sport, so it’s tough rooting against either of them.Posted May 20, 2013 1:28 pm
dwc – Your talking total rubbish. I’m a huge huge Froch fan but even I had to admit he got beat. And it wasnt just me I think the whole of the boxing world agree that Kessler won the fight.Posted May 20, 2013 1:08 pm
I thought Froch won the first fight as did the ringside press judges. And Im picking Froch here aswell in another good one…Posted May 20, 2013 12:40 pm
Hehe, Ward would put a glass eye to sleep! Nice one Froch!Posted May 20, 2013 11:53 am
Tbh i think Froch will win, but not with ease. He has fought better opponents than Kessler since they first fought each other, the Froch that got beaten by Kessler was a lot rawer, the first time Froch thought he could just come forward. Now there is a bit more to his game as he dose try to box a bit more smart and this is what he has learned from each fight post Froch v Kessler 1Posted May 20, 2013 11:50 am
I agree Froch seems to think he will sweep Mikkel aside, no way, its going the distance its who keeps their cool the most will win, Im big Froch fan but I think Kessler has the cooler head.Posted May 20, 2013 10:47 am
Froch is toooo confident!!!Posted May 20, 2013 10:32 am

If Froch beats Kessler, I hope they fight for a third time, as they have 1 victory each over the other… if Kessler beats Froch in this second fight, he will have proved that he is indeed the better fighter… if Froch wins, they must have the third fight so that we can know, beyond any doubt, who is the best between the two of them.Posted May 20, 2013 10:15 am
