OPEN LETTER TO JOSE SULAIMAN…Now that Sir Alex Ferguson has decided to step down as manager of Manchester United football club here in the UK after 26 glorious years at the helm, do you not think it is time for you to follow suit after 37 years and give someone else a chance to shape the WBC…. I would also call for the Mendoza’s of he WBA to follow suit after a similar period of dominance.
At one stage the WBC were thought to be head and shoulders above the other alphabet boys, but now we can no longer say this is the case.
All the alphabet boys are tainted by dubious decisions and the decision to rank Amir Khan at number 2 at welterweight stinks to high Heaven.
Most die-hard boxing fans are disappointed in some of the decsions you have made. Actually, we’re all furious at most of the decisions.
It’s time for us to say, “Thank you, time to go!”Posted May 21, 2013 5:43 pm

They wouldn’t let him step down as chairman? Who wouldn’t? Was it put to an open vote? When Sulaiman and Arum are both dead boxing will see a renaissance and I can’t waitPosted May 21, 2013 8:13 am
The WBC ruined their reputation, with some many titles. I have no respect for the WBC. It is recognize by 100 something countries, but they will fall hard for corrupt they are. Everything in life has consequences after being bad.Posted May 21, 2013 7:37 am
Is Sulaiman trying to start a new career as a comedian? Of course, he is very old, and could be under some grandiose delusions about his organizations legitimacy. I honestly think that he is frightened of the IABA. While the IABA is not perfect, if they do get into professional boxing like the scale of world title fights, a monopoly by them, like FIFA in Soccer might be what the sport needs, since the WBC seems bent on taking the sport of boxing out of any form of legitamacy.Posted May 21, 2013 6:07 am
