Froch split decisionPosted May 23, 2013 1:24 pm
@Scottyboy…. The only way Groves would say whether he had an opinion or not is if he thought Kessler would win… If he thought Froch would win he’d just say, “It will be a Hell of a fight” and not mention that he has formed an opinion from sparring with Kessler. He doesn’t like Froch. Neither does Cleverly. They are only saying they have an opinion to needle Froch. They know it wouldn’t be right or popular with British fans to say Kessler will win. They know it wouldn’t be right or popular with Danish fans to take Kessler’s sparring money and say Froch will win … But they can say they have an opionion. And the sly way Groves said it you should know what his opinion is. I have always felt Froch has a slight edge because the fight is in England. However, Groves thinks Kessler will win, and he has been getting great sparring. Why would he be sparring for Kessler if he didn’t want to help him win? And why is he making these sly comments when his relationship with Froch is adversarial at best.Posted May 23, 2013 12:02 am

Pic looks like they’re going to make out or something…Posted May 21, 2013 2:33 pm
In my opinion Groves is heavily hinting that Froch will win this one. For starters he had just been sparring with Kessler when he said ‘what happens in sparring stays in sparring’, why would he say that if he got dominated by Kessler? He just wouldn’t mention it at all if that was the case. Secondly, he hasn’t sparred Froch since he was almost ko’d by Froch so why would he make a comment like that regarding Froch? Saying ‘what happens in sparring is personal and shouldnt be shared, but for me theres only one winner’ straight after sparring Kessler says it all imo…he’s saying Froch is his pick.Posted May 21, 2013 2:03 pm
Where on Earth do they get their writers from these days?? This guy is an absolute goon. Where has he got the idea that Groves dominated Froch in sparring? They haven’t even sparred for this upcoming fight because Groves considers wants a fight Froch in the near future. The last time they did spar resulted in Groves almost being ko’d and this was with 20oz gloves and a headguard on. Look it up if you don’t believe me. Seriously ESB you have got to get a decent writer because this goon is going to lose you reader after reader with his thoughtless, unresearched, biased drivel. DO NOT LET THIS WRITER ON YOUR WEBSITE.Posted May 21, 2013 1:26 pm

Froch hasn’t retired once due to an injury, I think that Kessler is gonna get a beat down.Posted May 21, 2013 6:24 am
I thought Kessler edged the first fight and actually fought Froch’s fight in that one. Froch had the hassle of an interrupted build up in that one but we will never know how much of a difference that made. I think Kessler fights differently this time. He can box better than he did against Froch and altho Froch has shown improvement, am not sure he has made enough.
Kessler by u.d for me.
Good luck gents!Posted May 21, 2013 4:08 am
Just watched Kessler vs Froch 1 on the telly last night, must say that I wasn’t impressed with either of them. Iwould even say that it is the weakest fight both men have fought in their carreer. It was a bar fight.
To be honest, I don’t recognize the sneaky Kessler of late, and the confident puncher, Froch, in that first fight.
Both men are clearly one level above a bar fight.
If the same thing happens in the second fight, Froch wins, if Kessler is cool, he can take every shot Froch has rather easily, he should be able to hurt, a Froch leading with his nose.
I too like both boxers.Posted May 21, 2013 3:42 am
I like both guys and they seem to trade places with each other in the rankings. I would say that they’re equal and it should be really good fight. If Kessler does win I hope that he doesn’t get screwed.Posted May 21, 2013 3:00 am
I won’t say Kessler hasn’t learned anything, I just think he is further removed from his best from the last fight than Froch is. Kessler is in no way a shot fighter but I think he has slowed a bit where I don’t see that in Froch, not yet anyways. Froch gets the decision.Posted May 21, 2013 1:50 am
Froch has steadily improved in each of his fights. He beat a young Pascal in a risky fight. He was being outboxed by Jermain Taylor, but found a way to win. I thought Dirrell got the better of Froch, just barely, however Froch got the nod. I thought Froch edged out Kessler, but Kessler got the nod. Each fight Froch got better in a Cro-Magnon Man fight. He learned the blueprint from Dirrell on how to beat Abraham and smartly used it. That was the best Froch. He just happened to run into a Ward who was at the top of his game. He destroyed Bute. Froch is at the moment the second best around that weight division. It is just a question of who has learned the most from the last fight. If Kessler has not learned anything then he will get blown out. If Kessler brings out the Cro-magnon man in Froch, who knows what will happen.Posted May 21, 2013 12:34 am
