don’t ever underestimate the heart of the champion,,manny have been lost early in his career and all of those are devastating KO. but manny bounce back and keeps on winning. I will put all my money in this fight rios will going to know what cotto, hatton, dela hoya etc. feels about the power of pacman! marquez only got a lucky punch but his face was brutaly damage.

Herdog- Your a homo. Pacman only gave Marquez rematches because even tho he got the decisions he knew he had lost. Pacman couldn’t live with himself knowing he got decisions he didn’t deserve. You’ll be crying once a 5th fight happens and wished it was never announced. By then Pacman would lose to a 40 something Marquez for a 6th time. No matter what happens KO by 6 in the 4th fight will be shown 100 yrs from now to remind the world Jmm was always better. Jmm even faced Floyd and Manny 4 times the only chicken is the filipino chicken Manny for avoiding Floyd. He fought Marquez because Jmm was supposed to be too old. Respect your elders! AHAHAHA

HECDOG, have you read the biography on Manny Pacquiao, called Pacman, by Gary Andrew Poole? Well, I think you’ll like it…. It is very insightful, and portrays him in a very positive light.

Yes, I agree with you that Manny has always done great things for his people, but unfortunately wanting to be a politician only increases the need to be seen doing good for the community….

Did you know that Floyd Mayweather does lots for his communities both in Vegas, Grand Rapids and many other places in Michigan????

Most of these good deeds are done without any hype or hooplah and shows taht what you see on the TV may not necesarily be what you get in real life when the cameras stop rolling.

Unfortunately, boxing is no longer about actually fighting in teh ring, it’s about all the other stuff – the noise that occurs outside the squared circle!

This fight is made in China! Like all china products, its low quality! Rios and Pacquioa both lose thier previous fight! You basically have to knock offs products/ fighters! In the US to make this a PPV is illegal.

Badger say’s it’s great for Pac to fight in China because they don’t make you pay for health care, or tax you to death? The Irony of that post is hilarious. Keep them coming… I’m mean lets down America for taxes and give props to China, for its sweat shops, inhumane conditions, and it’s huge class separation. You gotta love Bob Arum, and that good natured Pacquiao.

So basically since you say Marquez was on PEDs then you are also agreeing that Pac has used them also then? Because you have no proof but you defended Pac saying there was no proof

Well if he has brought in the most revenue how come it doesn’t show? Sorry but Floyd is the one atop the Forbes list for athletes. And I bet it won’t do over a million PPVs. Something that Floyd has come accustomed too. And what’s funny is people say he is cherry picking but yet he is still selling more than Pac. I guess I can only say wow to that.

Oh not only did Marquez display much more power but he was taking his worst beating by Pac but didnt even blink and stood in the pocket waiting to deliver that k.o punch he knew he developed. I said id never make this argument without proof but Rios hiring Heredia and Pac implementing rbts is the last draw for me with all the other odvious evidence from the fight itself.

Peej Floyd does more ppvs per because he fights an avg. of once a year to build anticipation. Watch Pac v Rios do huge #s because of Pacs year layoff. And again its not Pacs problem that Floyd fights so little so however u put it Pac has drawn more revenue in his career and will continue to do so.

Ped’s aren’t needed to knock someone out, another good crack on Manny’s jaw could do the same thing once again. Knockout’s like that leave a fighter damaged and dented. The chin has a way of remembering that type of knock out, and once it’s gets tagged it’ll be good night.

Floyd sells more PPVs that Pac. The only reason Pac has had more PPV sold is because he has had more PPVs. Floyd has less and has almost surpassed him. That makes him the PPV king plain and simple. Not to mention Floyd brings in more revenue. That has already been proven since the man is the number 1 athlete in money generated over a year. And that is without doing commercials. Imagin how much more he would make if he did commercials.

Arum is following the Rich American Business owner trend. Once you get established in America, move your product over seas. He’s doing the same thing as the American garment, and manufacturing industies have done. Who would expect anything less from Arum?

Marquez was not a different fighter in the 4th fight. Every fight they fought Marquez rocked Pac with a very good shot. There is so many shots a chin can take and Pac has take a lot of shots. Eventually when something is hit enough it cracks and breaks and that is what happened to Pac.

After Floyds last fight hes still a mil. plus buys behind Pac career wise about to be 2 mil. plus buys behind him. Wow Floyds the cash cow but the #s say different. Floyds suppose to be the best of this era but Pac has a fighter of the decade award that says different. Boy Floyd is a master illusionist. “Both would earn significantly more to fight Manny Pacquiao . . .” $3 million to Punkuiao’s* $30 million is an insult. Marquez is no longer willing to swallow his pride to prove his point. he has proven it without any room for additional questions or doubt. Marquez is Greater. Punkuiao* knows it, which is why he’s no longer willing to underestimate a 40-year-old featherweight at 147lbs.

Hecdog Marquez should of for the nod in the 3rd fight. At worst it was a draw and that is at worst. They took that fight cause they still wanted the Floyd fight. The same could be said about Pac not accepting the 40 mil. He can’t make that money any where else, still cant

Floyd Mayweather made MORE money in 2 fights than Manny Pacquiao did in 3 fights… This year Manny Pacquiao is gonna make a fraction of what he did during his BEST year… Again I am a Pacquiao fan but he is NOT the biggest anything and right now his career and reputation are 100% on the line if he loses or got an S/D against Rios its curtains… Marquez surprised me and took on Bradley in order to further his legacy… He is that pleased and comfortable in his ABSURDLY conclusive victory over Pacquiao who he damn near knocked completely out of the P4P rankings… The Pac Man aura of invincibility is GONE, shattered it only exists in Hecdog’s mind and rectum…

old on a minute here. Manny Pacquiao is the biggest draw in boxing world wide. He makes the call when it comes to money. JMM wants no part of Pacquiao and neither did Bradley. Both would earn significantly more to fight Manny Pacquiao, but both chickens showed their true colors. Marquez is a cheating chicken. He ran his mouth begging for a rematch and Manny gave him 3. Manny asks for a rematch, and the chicken says no way. Basically telling the boxing fans, no way I’m going to fight Pacquiao again, he kicked my butt for 3 and 1/2 fights then I landed the lucky Ped Punch. I want no part of Manny Pacquiao. Bradley said the same as he was beaten up and given a robbery decision. There are no excuses for these to chickens. They both wereoffered more money to fight Pacquiao, and if it was so easy for both to beat Manny, why not take the fight? Answer, they are scared. Now look at them, both will fight each other, and one will be out of the big money for good. Dumb, dumb move by both. Manny is going to make triple what these two guys will make together. He’s the draw and always will be. Manny will be in tough vs Rios, but after that he’ll fight Broner, Canelo, Martinez and take a 9th title from Ward. The man comes to fight. He makes money regardless of who he fights, and yes, he’s not scared to fight anyone. Might as well add Mayweather to the chicken coop, he’s been running for years. Manny is incredible. And smart as he helps run his country.

anyway, as the title of this article implies, “career high paydays” are and have always been Pacquiao’s* priority. not fighting the best or serving his people. even after being DEMOLISHED and FLATTENED by Marquez in IV, Punkuiao* still wouldn’t concede purse and location privileges to Marquez for a 5th matchup. privileges that Punkuiao* assumed for II, III, and IV to discourage Marquez (e.g., 3 mill to $30 mill?!?) and which he’s now using to price himself out of a 5th matchup and to avoid Marquez once again. i’m giving Rios a good chance to upset Pacquiao* and anticipate that Garcia will incorporate a single additional wrinkle into Rios’ fight-plan, which is all that’s needed to stump a one-dimensional puncher like Pacquiao*.

“How many boxers become congressman?” (oh brother) i believe that the real question being asked is how does a country nominate a congressman based solely on their boxing celebrity? there must not be a single honest public servant left in the Phillipines(?) and even if there was, would that qualify them to compete as a member of the Phillipine Olympic boxing team?

TJ my friend, I agree with you on Vernon Forrest. A great boxer, but an even greater human being. God bless him and rest his soul. He was a sincerely good hearted person that really cared. I do miss watching Vernon inside or outside the ring. As far as Manny Pacquiao goes, his agenda isn’t political. He has been helping and reaching out to people in need all his life. Since the JMM fight, he has been a target by all the haters. Many, many people don’t realize what kind of life this man has lived. He has millions and millions of dollars yet people continue to try and bring this man down. And being a politician that is doing so many good things leaves him open for more attacks. Others may have done good things and they should be commended and respected for that, but Manny Pacquiao has reached a level of fame and fortune that not many reach. How many boxers become congressman? Manny didn’t all of a sudden start giving money and fighting for good causes when he became famous, he did it from day one. The only reason he became a congressman was to help the poor in his country. Other athletes use their good doings as a crutch to gain favor, but Manny has always done it from the heart. Haters laugh at his KO, but he couldm have been dead. I think people are just envious and jealous of what he has accomplished. I like to point to the good he does in life.

Sredmond- you maybe right, I dont see Pacquioa stopping Rios but I do see Rios getting battered in that fight. Rios will get his shots in there too but in doing so will also eat 2 or 3 hard punches. Reason why I say that is because Pacquioa still has a speed advantage even though he has slowed down some so he will still be the faster man that night. Marquez is simply a beautiful counterpuncher which is why he timed Pacquioa so well to knock him out and all of the experience from their previous fights help him alot. Rios is neither. He is very basic, heck I read somewhere that his plan is to go straight to war with Manny. Manny’s experience plus his speed and lets say his “decent” power will leave Rios bloodied and in the dust. Theres a reason why it was was with Rios and not Alvarado. Stylistic Alvarado would move around more and Pacquioa needs a stationary target to make him look good.

“But let’s be honest if Mayweather was the one fighting Rios, he would be laughed off of ESB, wouldn’t he?” to be honest, i’ve been restraining a chuckle for every Mayweather matchup since Judah. even his proposed matchup v. Pacquiao* should elicit eye-rolls among knowledgeable fight-fans. bottomline is that even at his walking-around weight of 147lbs and at the advanced fighting-age of 36, Floyd has no serious challengers and must even be favored v. naturally bigger fighters who still boil-down and rehydrate in the traditional manner of making their fighting-weight. Mayweather is a one-man duo of welterweight Klitschkos and no less dominant.

Saying Mayweather waited for Gatti to become shot, is rediculas. Mayweather had already made short work of Angel Manfredy, who was coming off of a recent TKO win over a prime Gatti, at the time. Gatti (RIP) was never going to be real comp for Mayweather, and he told everyone so leading up to the fight.

Ray, I’m a HUGE Pac Man fan but the power he displayed at 140 and below is a thing of the past… Busting Marquez nose was fine but his inability to close the show culminated with him close to clinically dead on the canvas… People are remembering the PAC who ground down Cotto and Oscar… It has been what 5 fights and how many years since he has NOT had to go to the cards?? If he’s got it, Rios who will be right there all night would be a good place to start they have him one of the most hittable opponents in boxing…

I wish Pac good luck in his up comming fight. I think he’ll do fine. He’s too fast for Rios, but if Rios watches tape on what Marquez was able to do, he could land his own huge counter… That being said even with a great win over Rios, the Mayweather fight will be dead. Afterall, what would be said if the Mayweather fight were to come off now? It’s a no win situation for Mayweather at this point. Heck as it stands his detractors don’t recognize any of his wins. What would be differenct with a Pacquiao fight at this point? Nothing…

Clearly the masses are MORE impressed with Floyd Mayweather than any other athlete let alone boxer on the planet they paid him 85 mill for 2 fights… Sacrificing your opinion is a mere pittance when positioned against the facts… IE Floyds 17 years of undefeated professional boxing 5 weight Champion, lineal in 3 weight classes fighter of the year at 21 or 22 and still Consensus P4P# 1 at the age of 36…. Like Rapper Jim Jones says “BALL’IN”

I think floyd too has to stop the b.s. and give fans what they want. At least Pac fights very meaningful and entertaining fights. All of floyds ppv fights are glorified sparring matches. Thats a waste of time and money for the fans. If thats what floyd continues to want to do then he might as well retire.

This “writer” subtly yet clearly places blame only on Pac as the primary reason for the Pac/Floyd fight never taking place, just because Pac is now in a position to potentially earn much more than he did previously, but on top of that, tax free too. Well, I for one have no problem with how Pac earns his living, whether in Asia, North America or elsewhere, especially that he always puts on awesome fights and gives his fans their money’s worth. Not ever fighting Floyd is the least of Pac’s problems, in fact, he never was. Pac’s legacy is well established whether or not he ever fights Floyd. But damn, given China’s population, Pac’s take for one fight may just be the equivalent of 3 of floyds fights. In other words less work more money for Pac. But heck, why not! This is the SAME way Floyd works and does his jock riders without ever fighting any meaningful or challenging fights. Last one was 10 years ago, Castillo/Floyd 1. Nothing dangerous or toss up since then. I suppose Floyd could have been getting more money on average than ShowTime has offered had he been amenable to fighting Pac in Macau on even terms. Amazing how the ball of fate turns for some. What Floyd needs to realize is there is a time and place for everything and that he is not the center of the universe.

I honestly think Pacquioa still has good power; after all he did bust Marquez’s nose. The problem with Pacquioa is that he has slow down a bit and is more cautious now. Hes lost some of that warrior spirit where as Marquez spirit is still intact. Marquez has a great chin and a ton of heart; thats the reason why he didnt fold against Pacquioa. Pacquioa still has power and I believe that you will see that against Rios. Rios is no Marquez. Marquez is a very intelligent fighter and has precision counter punching abilities and Rios likes to just wear down his opponents; plain and simple. Rios is there to be hit and Pacquioa is heavyhanded. My prediction: Rios will get beaten up bad.

Tark, how do you figure Marquez is “a stay busy fighter” against PAC Man? Marquez was very patient in their 3rd fight and threw less blows than Pacquiao while he waited to counter… PAC Man at this point does not have a single advantage over Floyd at this point his power at WW is a myth he’s NOT stopping anyone…Floyd has a more recent KO than Pacquiao… If the bout came off by some chance it’s an easy night for FMJ and then the chorus will ensue about PAC being damaged and past it while Floyd will be 37 years old.. Blah Blah. Blah predictable

Peej and Adrian, IMO Floyd and PAC are equally to blame for their fight not happening. If these two guys really wanted to fight each other, they could have made it happen. You know they could. Floyd could have fought without random testing or PAC could have agreed to the testing. The OSTD issue was a standoff that was guaranteed to prevent the fight from happening. GHOST, ARUM won’t do that…. He’s trying to break into an emerging market – the Far East, and especially China.

In order to do this he will almost work on the loss-leader basis and seemingly, be effectively giving the PPV away for free for the equivalent of USD 5. But, we are dealing with a conniving son-of-a-gun, who has already got his Chinese Olympian superstar on PPV for his debut and each and every subsequent bout!

Bob, will be acting like any dealer out there and get the customers hooked on watching the likes of Pac and his Chineses superstar (I forget his name – and didn’t think much of his debut perfomance anywhays) fighting on PPVs that are very accessibly priced and then BOOYAH!!!! As soon as these suckers are hooked on watching them you bet the prise will rise…. I’m not saying tp USD 60 a pop, but nearer the USD 20-25 region…..

That’s a fivefold rise and may prove to be a stiumbling block, but they will pay…. Bob is dealing with economies of scale and having a potential audience of 1-2 or even 3 million fans paying between USD 10-25 a pop for these fights will prove to be marketing heaven and make the old buzzard even richer.

I’m sure he’s been following the lives of Rockefeller and JP Morgan and trying to make money off of the masses!

Do not be surprised to see ODLH following suit as soon as he sees how much money will be pocketed by Uncle Bob!

HECDOG it is commendable you getting behind Manny Pacquiao, but at this point in his career we all know what he has done and what he hasn’t done, so there is really no need for you to keep up this diatribe about what a wonderful person he is.

I could name you countless boxers I have come across who are just as humble and giving as Pac, giving back to their people, supporting their communities but they don’t ram it down our throats and the difference is they are earning a fraction of the big time dollars your hero is on and without a political agenda, where it is important to be seen to de giving and doing good deeds for the community.

A great example was VERNON VIPER FORREST (RIP), who spent countless hours and time in his life both before, during and after he was a world champion giving back to the community, raising money and awareness and giving his time to those less fortunate than himself.

Vernon Forrest was and still is a CHAMPION in my eyes until he was so cruelly taken from us!!! He is a real beacon you should be looking up to!!!!!

These are the really good guys of boxing. They have no agendas.

Let Pac do his own thing and you should move on and get on with yours.

I’m sure you will benefit from freeing up your day fixating on this man.

I know the fight never happened. Yes you do know what is ment when someone is the pioneer right? Means he was the first one to start it. And every fighter has had to take it since then. Yes I know when he demanded it. I don’t think it was any more unreasonable than Pac asking for 10 mil for every pound Floyd was over weight if he did come in overweight. So yes Floyd was the pioneer. In 2010 the money was already agreed apon, it was 50/50. Floyd agreed to the ring size which was very small, he agreed to the glove size also. He asked Pac for random drug test and Pac said he was scared of needles. But yes he has tattoos. He should of just said no with out any excuses. Or he could of called Floyd’s bluff since people thinked he ducked him and said he would do it since that was the only thing holding it up. But he made more excuses

You do realize Floyd is the pioneer of the Olympic style drug testing, the same testing Pac is now doing with Rios. Floyd agreed to every demand Pac had in 2010 and all Floyd requested was Olympic style drug test. And that’s where it all fell apart.

Yes he beat a weight drained Margacheato whom never looked the same after being found out he was a cheat. So what. He never won a fight after being found out which pretty much means his whole career is suspect and should not count. Every win should be changed to a loss to the fighter he was fighting. His name should not even be brought up anymore unless you are talking about cheating fighters.

Ok dude, now you are just trying to switch things around to justify something. You are wrong. Oscar was the champ because he unfied the belts, Mosley beat him which made him champ, Forrest beat him which made him champ, Spinks beat him which made him champ, Baldomire beat him which made him champ, Floyd beat him which made him champ. And Floyd has never lost that belt in the ring. He gave it up when he retired oh and guess what he is now the Rinch Champ again. Kostya beat Zab at 140 not 147. Hatton beat Kostya at 140 which made him Champ at 140. When Kostya beat Zab that made him the champ at 140 because they where the number 1 and 2 contenders. Williams only had a title and Cotto only had a title, they where never the Champion of a division. And Cotto beat Mosley much later. He was not even a titlest, he was the challenger.

So now pac is to big and its not fair to fight at 140? Lol ..he fought up and down and after rios he can take mayweather at 147 no problem like he fought margarito right?

Posted May 28, 2013 12:54 am

PEEJ

You are the one who asked me and now you say drop it. You should drop it. I never said I thought Bradley won. I thought Pac won but it was a close fight. What costed Pac was him only fighting for 30 seconds a round and he never really hit Bradley with anything serious. Even in the 4th where it looked like he did, when you watch the replay the punch never even landed and Bradley had just hurt his ankle. Just like the first 2 Marquez fights, It thought Pac won both of them. But I thought Marquez won the 3rd and the robbed him of that win and so Marquez KO’s him in the 4th. I am a boxing fan and I don’t let things cloud my train of thought or vision of a fight even when I am scoring it. And most my friends arent true boxing fans. They just like watching the big fights. Floyd never ducked Pac, Pac was the one with the excuses, only thing Floyd wanted was the drug test and then of course once it came clear that he was the bigger seller he also wanted a bigger piece of the pie which he deserved. But of course Pac priced himself out. That is how you can tell one fighter does not want to fight another fighter, they price themselves out.

Lol …he baldomir who had only a belt who beat zab that lost to tzu and spinks that lost to who not lol..but you forget wiliams who was a champ and cotto undefited who stoped Judah and beat Mosley who beat Oscar who lost to PAC by a stoppage lol

Posted May 28, 2013 12:50 am

Adrian

Listen to your friends peej…lol and its better to claim he beat a washed up PAC than claiming he ducked him ….btw he was robed against breadly and you know it so drop it!

Having the Ring Championship belt and having one of the titles is 2 different things.

Posted May 28, 2013 12:44 am

Yes the fight against Baldomire made him the champ at 147. He beat Judah who was the champ who beat Spinks who was the champ who beat Mayorga who was the champ, who beat Forrest who was the champ, who beat Mosley who was the champ who beat Oscar who was the champ. So yes that made him the Champ at 147

Posted May 28, 2013 12:43 am

PEEJ

And your right Rios is a tough fight, I am picking him in an upset unless the KO really has had no affect on him. But I do think it is funny that he is taking on a 140 pounder at 147 when everybody talks a lot about Floyd fighting so called smaller fighters.

Posted May 28, 2013 12:42 am

Peej– wrote”Sorry, Pac is a 8 division titlest and a 4 division Champ. Having a title does not make you the champ of the division. Like at 135 he fought David Diaz. A titlest, the weakest of the titlest at the time” huh ? And that’s your complain ?? Lol…
But I am sure mayweathers win over baldomir made him a champ in that devision instantly eh? Lol you can’t pick and chose arguments dude..

Posted May 28, 2013 12:41 am

PEEJ

I only claimed Pac ducked Floyd because people say Floyd ducked Pac. The fight never happened because of Arum plain and simple and that is what I believe. But the reason why I don’t want to see it, because I think Floyd beats Pac easy. That is why. And after he beats Pac then everybody will say that is what he was supposed to do. Pac was a much smaller fighter. But on the other hand I would mind seeing it only because most of my friends are Pac fans and they believe like everybody else that Floyd ducked Pac. So I would love to be in the same place as them when Floyd stops Pac. But now there is no use in it because he lost against Bradley and then KO’d by Marquez and everybody will now say he just waited till he was softened up.

Posted May 28, 2013 12:40 am

Adrian

Peej– why don’t you want to see PAC vs mayweather ?? You claimed many times PAC was the one who ducked floyed ? How come you don’t like to see them fight ? So even after a win over rios who has only one loss wouldn’t still be a credible win to you?
Who has PAC to beat so that you can say he is ready for mayweather ? Lol

Posted May 28, 2013 12:37 am

Adrian

Talk about taking an easy fight before getting another shot at Marquez lol…
I see some that are posting who were against another Marquez vs PAC fight because they argued that PAC needs an easy fight first and to prove us he is not done so that we know he deserves the shot ,but they are silenced and are all ok for him taking rios fight who is by no means an easy fight for him out there actualy he could be a toughest test coming out of a ko loss because rios can take a punch and punch hard as well…but PAC dosent care he takes anyone out there just like he always did and he will be back !!!!

IMO, Pacquiao* is taking a major risk facing someone like Rios who i think will be stronger at 140+lbs and will have plenty of chances to land bombs on Pacquiao’s* severely-dented chin. i’m also gonna risk underestimating Pacquiao’s* punching-power and say he doesn’t hit harder than Alvarado and that Rios will be able to take his shots. i question whether Manny* should subject himself to taking Rios’ but it’s his call and it’s a risky one.

Pac is not in line for a Floyd fight if he beats Rios. Someone whom has never fought at 147. He will be inline to fight the winner of Bradley and Marquez. He has unfinished business with them

Manny pacquiao hasto be careful though hes a much faster better experienced boxer then the young slugger Rios Doctors in the Philippines are worried that if Manny Pacquiao fights on and continues taking punishment, he could wind up with some major health problems down the line, including one doctor believing he’s seeing early warning signs of Parkinson’s disease during Pacquiao’s interviews. He has had many head ear, eye, injuries and this last KO that put him in a mini coma has probable long term damage he should consider retiring or get back on the juice forhis families welfare.

Floyd would still avoid pac, despite his losses. Floyd waited till Gatti was shot, before he took him on. go Floyd and f arum.

Posted May 27, 2013 10:17 pm

TARK

Pacquiao is definitely focused on the Mayweather fight… Marquez is an extremely difficult style for him. Marquez is a counterpuncher and a busy fighter like Pacquiao gives him plenty of chances to unleash sharp counters and even the occasional bomb.. Rios will be the one leading and giving Pacquiao chances.. If he can get past Rios he’s right back in line for a Floyd fight.. Floyd is on the lookout for anybody not named Canelo Alvarez to fulfill his six fight contract, and Pacquiao will make a perfect opponent.

great for pac to cashing in. He should fight in his home continent. The USA is a dead zone thanks to Obama and his predecessor. The dollar’s bond rating went south since Obama took over.

So they sell it for $5.00 in China and make the USA Boxing fans pay $60.00??? even though China is doing great Economically and we’re still in a major slump…

Posted May 27, 2013 9:40 pm

IRON MIKE

BIG MIKE-Roy fought in Korea not China, America has had a few home town decisions on there soil in many sports, this goes both ways, I don’t think China cares who wins Manny or Rio’s neither one are Chinese, so your logic is thrown out the window, PEACE

Posted May 27, 2013 8:57 pm

Prof Konje

Arum could afford to sell the fight in China for $5 because there are so many people in China and it all works out. We (in the U.S.) pay more because there are fewer of us.

Pacquaio, as good as he is (was) was not a real champion in eight (8) different weight classes or anything like it. There were catch-weights, drained fighters etc. It’s not as if he fought top guys in their primes.

Be honest with yourselves and face the truth. At this point, Pacquaio could never beat Floyd because he took too much punishment from Bradley and Marquez. Did you see how swollen his face was?

Bad business man as someone stated. If he had been a good, savvy business man, he would have banked a lot more money and not need to put himself through fighting in China at this point. Finally, Arum is making a hell of a lot more money than Pacquaio. Think about it, if Pacquaio is making, say $25 million, then Arum is making much, much more than that. Arum is a slick, lying S.O.B.

I agree with Big Mike, China is a liar and a cheating country, they manipulate to get what they want! I wouldn’t be surprised if they get the judges to look Pacs way if the fight goes to a decision!

No,no PEEJ, those are all false accusations by his political opponents that want nothing more than to destroy his image, but it won’t work. People know the real Manny Pacquiao, and they know he would not sink to such low. The record books and Ring Magazine have him down as the only 8 division weight class champion. This is legit.

Posted May 27, 2013 7:55 pm

If the PPV is $5 in China, it better be damn cheap everywhere else Arum, you crook.

Posted May 27, 2013 7:31 pm

He is not an 8 time world champion. That is innacurate. He has held titles in 8 divisions but he was not world champ in all 8. Now I think he has held 4 legetimite World Championships which well is damn great. Now you also left out how just recently him and his entourage beat up someone. Now it hasn’t come out as fals but what I have read is they guy is not letting up and will be taking him to court and pressing charges. He is definitely not a great business man or else he would of already made a career high payday but he has too many leaches on his team and he does not know how to get rid of him. Pac is a great boxer and I am not taking that away. You can’t take that away. But just like you say Floyd not fighting him puts a mark on Floyd, Pac not fighting Floyd definitely puts a mark on Pacs record also. Plus there are some boxers that he ducked that puts marks on his record too. But yes he is a great fighter and first ballow HOF.

Pac wants to take boxing to China. He hates the USA. He would rather see an Asian country on top. 5 dollars for them 60 dollars for the U. S. He wants China to surpass the USA in economic greatness. Rios would be foolish to go there. They’ll probably poison him. He’ll never get a decision win. China cheats . Look at Roy Jones in the Olympics. Look at the Olympics period.

My post on Manny Pacquiao is right on. There is not one bit of inaccurate or false information. He is a very likeable and decent man. And he is quiet obviously the greatest fighter of all time. 8 division boxing champion has never been equaled. Look at what he does in his life. He does it all and is loved. He is a congressman and does much good for people. Passing laws to help those kids that are being abused. Really, he’s a humble person that accomplishes so much in life. We can’t knock him for that. The truth never lies.

Whats really bad, will all the sell outs he has had and PPV sales he has generated, he is just now getting his so called highest payday. Too bad he wasn’t smarter.

Posted May 27, 2013 5:33 pm

PEEJ

Pac has not been driving fanst towards him since the Bradley fight. Heck he couldn’t even bring them in for that fight. When he fought Marquez the last time, most of the people there where supporting Marquez. Sorry but he doesn’t draw like he used to. Now maybe in the Asian countries he can. But not anywhere else. And whats really bad, the thing that made him fun to watch is the thing that will ruin his future with in a few years and that is no defense. Rios does actually have defense when he is in close. He perrys a lot of punches off of his gloves. Now when they are seperate he does take some punishment and if Pac stays close to him and is unable to land a KO punch, he will lose by KO.

Why is Pacquiao fighting Rios? Aren’t there any more-or-less talented fighters at 147? Was Robert Guerrero not available? Provodnikov? Marcos Maidana? Devon Alexander? Why pick a punch-drunk, lightweight slugger with no defensive skills who is coming from a loss and two brutal fights? Aaaahhhh, boxing….

HECDOG! Seriously, you need to cease and desist with this sycophancy and ***licking of your idol Pacquiao.

You are showing signs of delusional infatuation and really need to get out of the house, get a life to occupy your time so you don’t ruminate on this man for too long in a day.

Have you considered seeking medical help? Surely this will assist you in facilitating yourself back into society and not living your life through someone else.

Pac will get paid, win or lose and he will move on, which I suggest is something that would benefit you in doing also.

Just a suggestion fella!

Manny Paquiao is the most entertaining, exciting, fighting warrior of our time bar none. Fans from all through the world across every continent come to get a glimpse of arguably, but more than likely the greatest fighter to have ever laced on a pair of gloves. He is the Picasso of boxing. No other athlete in any sport brings shakes up the world like Manny Pacquiao. This is greatness first hand. A man that crosses over to everyone, and is constantly embraced with love and care. Manny Pacquiao, the boxer, singer, actor, philanthropist, bible study teacher, helper of the poor, and the greatest congressman of all time. Yes, just recently he passed a bill in congress to help those thousands and thousands of women and children that are part of the disgusting human trafficking. Manny Pacquiao fights for the people that need his help. Those that have no voice. He steps up and does what is honorable, caring and respectful. Even after the loss at the hands of a Ped Punching Juan Manuel Marquez, he continues to be loved and admired by billions. Manny is more than just an athlete. He touches Presidents, kings, queens, the mighty and the poor. His next fight against Brandon Rios will surpass all attendance and financial records in the history of boxing. Manny as usual takes on everyone. He’s a warrior that never quits. There will never be another Manny Pacquiao. He came from poverty. He has suffered and worked harder than anyone to get where he is at. Our generation is so lucky to see such a quality human being accomplish in life what most of us will never ever do. Manny handles himself with such integrity, class, respect and honor. Thus the enormous following of love that comes to him regardless of where he goes. Rumors have it that the sun shines a little brighter, people world wide are legally changing their names to Manny Pacquiao, BigFoot wants to be found only by Manny Pacquiao. We are lucky to see this man do what he does. Rios vs Pacquao will be more than a fight. It will be comparable to an eclipse that comes around every thousand years.
People will get their money’s worth. Let’s celebrate the greatest fighter of all time. Yes, he’s no longer arguably, he is the greatest fighter ever.

@ for the love of boxing – my friend for the love of money is truely the root to all evil. Floyd offer pac 40 mil flat. Pac even admitted that to 1st take’s stephen a smith during their interview and yiou can youtube that. Pac declined. Now did pac deserve a bigger cut? Sure! But i guess floyd felt if pac can fight jmm for 20 than 40 is more than enough. Pac isnt scared of may. May isnt scared of pac. But neither side will budge in their negotiations so thats the real reason no fight. Floyd is greedy and want the lion share of the purse all the time! But when you are the man you can do that i guess. But anyway that’s whats up. What’s you take on that?

@for the love of boxing – truth is my friend floyd offered manny 40 mil and manny said no. Youtube Manny’s interview w steven a smith on 1st take. These are manny’s own words. Does manny deserve a equal split? Of course. Im a money fan but he is greedy and money hungry more than anything! Thats the real reason. Floyd is not scared of pac and vice versa. But its all about money! Lets hope they get it together my friend. But i dont if floyd will split it 50/50. He is so use to getting the lions share his greed and pride wont allow a 50/50 split!

For the love of boxing

You have to hand it to Manny. This dude is class, always looking at taking on who ever is out, regardless of how he ended up in his last outing. Yes, I think he and Money May should fight, this would make alot money for both, however, lets face it. It is treated as a business deal and both deserve to have a 50-50 split regardless. Boxing wouldn’t be the same without these two, and a select few of others. Who knows what the underlying circumstances are between Pac and Money May, its all he said, she said type pf scenario.
Regardless, Pac and Rios, biggest thing to happen to boxing this year. Manny knows what the risks are, and its not going to be a walk in the park. Does he care? I highly doubt that he looses sleep over it.
Go hard Manny.
