Hey man.., Adamek was 36-1 when he stopped Banks. Banks got caught with a great shot and Adamek finished well. It’s no disgrace to lose to a world champion and that remains Banks’ only loss in 31 fights. He’s been a pro 9 years, and not everyone can go undefeated if they’re taking tough fights. If you do your job as well as Banks I’m sure you’re quite wealthy. Seth Mitchell’s team is pushing very hard. I saw this matchup as a monstrous step up for Mitchell—and very risky. It’s showed tremendous guts and ambition to put him in with Banks…but not the greatest knowledge or judgment.
They had to know Wladimir Klitschko is not going to bring a non-talent into his training camp…and hire him as his head coach. Wladimir didn’t achieve his present status in Boxing by being a dummy. Banks is ranked number 2 by the WBC and WBO, and 7th by Fightnews. I don’t personally believe Banks deserves to be ranked that high; but he certainly has tons of accumulated knowledge and skill. He wanted to be a boxer since he was 5.Posted June 13, 2013 11:24 am
Great conference. I enjoyed it. I RESPECT BOTH BANKS AND MITCHELL VERY MUCH. MAY THE BEST BOXER WIN. JUST LIKE THAT. THE FIGHT IS GOING TO BE GREAT AGAIN! WISH YOU BOTH GOOD HEALTH MEN!Posted June 13, 2013 6:19 am
Im not impressed with Banks as a fighter, I saw Adamek annihilate him at the Rock a few years back! Mitchell is a football jock that doesn’t know sh… from shinola about the sweet science! All Banks has to do is take em past the 4th round! After that he’ll be running post patterns and yelling cadances after he gets slapped upside the head a couple of times!Posted June 12, 2013 10:48 pm
Seth hit his ceiling a couple of fights before the Banks. I made some coin on the last fight, I doubt the odds will be as good this time around.Posted June 12, 2013 1:44 pm
I’m rooting for Banks–if Billy Preston was the fifth Beatle, Banks is the third Klitschko.Posted June 12, 2013 1:10 pm
This will show that US heavy’s are the best.Posted June 12, 2013 12:01 pm
The dumbest thing you can do if you have major technical problems, and you just got trashed in 2 rounds by an extremely experienced coach of the world’s best heavyweight — is think you’re going to irradicate all those problems in one training camp … so you go for an immediate rematch.
I hope it works out for Seth, but that’s an extremely emotional decision. Like Banks breaking his thumb 11 days before the fight and saying, “I don’t want a postponement. I’m a fighter and I want to fight. I can beat Mitchell with one hand.”
Wladimir.., “Don’t be an idiot Jonathan.”
Banks.., “Good point.”Posted June 12, 2013 10:09 am

This is the dumbest interview I’ve ever read… Boxers have to deal with dumb questions, but when they’ve answered them and the same questions keep coming back I say, “I’ve given an answer responsive to that question.. Next question?” Once you tell a guy you’re not going into a fight with any preconceived notions and you trained to go 12 hard rounds, they shouldn’t be asking you, “Are you going to be looking to just go out and land something big again?” you’ve already explained you didn’t do that in the first fight and it isn’t your mind set.. At that point it was becoming Chinese water torture and they ended the interview. Are these heavyweights focused on what Paulie Malignaggi might be doing for his freakin’ fight? It just got bats with these questioners..
I would ask Mitchell. “You were reaching with your punches and creating big countering opportunities for Banks. How hard have you worked on not reaching—and do you have sparring partners who can simulate Banks’ style?” I would ask him, “You grabbed Banks around the waist last time, which was a huge mistake. How hard have you been working on your clinching skills?” If Mitchell hasn’t solved these problems we’re in for a repeat.Posted June 11, 2013 11:22 pm

I’ll check it out…Posted June 11, 2013 10:20 pm
AND…be sure to watch “Tyson vs. McCall: BEST sparring ever” on youtube. There are two segments.Posted June 11, 2013 9:38 pm
@ Ernie: I think it will, and in Banks favor of course. Banks has some good boxing skills and is a good counter-puncher. It MIGHT go a little longer, but Mitchell seems to know only one way of fighting and he can’t take a punch well at all, so unless he catches Banks with something, I think Banks ko Mitchell around round 4. If only Mitchell had a chin like Oliver McCall, IF ONLY!!!!!!!!!Posted June 11, 2013 9:37 pm
