Which of Canelos last 5 opponents has been as Dangerous and Skilled as Mickey Garcia??? Kermit Cintron? Josesito?? 43 year old tiny mosely?? Feather fisted Trout?

Ghost – when you look at the opponents someone like Danny Garcia was made to face starting out.. Top ranked Guys and then look at the guys Canelo has chosen to fight you see he’s taken t he Easy road… a tiny 43 year old Mosely??? a much smaller sized Josesito Lopez?? Feather fisted trout who had Canelo up against the Ropes winded gasping for air defenseless?? instead of his Mandatory Cuban Lara, Quinlin, Rosado, Sergio Martinez… and the fact that he’s come into all of his fights weighing over 172+lbs??? He should be fighting GGG… It’s obvious he’s been protected waiting for that one big Payday and it looks like his team and his Management have gotten him there.. I give him credit for that but he definitely has not been taking on the best top most dangerous guys in his weight Class… Look at JuanMa coming in off of a year layoff and has two tuneups and is now taking on a top undefeated fighter in Garcia. Big Difference…

CORRECTAMUNDO

And Q I can EASILY point out the strengths and weaknesses of each Boxer why DO you think they call me Captain Obvious??? ITs because I make the FACTS sound SO DAMN obvious….The Strength of Garcia is that he’s a pin point power punching Boxer. His weakness is that his coach doesn’t teach him MUCH head movement. Though his the head movement is POOR he’s still not as reckless on Defense as Lopez IS. IF Salido can crack that melon you’d better believe that Mikey can. EASY Fight to predict. Lopez’s only hope is to hit him with a Big shot and finish him off. He won’t WIN a 12 rd Fight. NO WAY. In FACT it won’t even go 12 and he’ll get stopped.

Mex – I give Canelo credit for taking on Mayweather my main problem with Canelo has been with what he’s done to make it to this point.. Which was to avoid the top guys at his weight class. I know he’s not the only one doing this, alot of these guys today do it.. It’s more about getting to that big Payday vs taking on the best in todays boxing game.. It’s going to be a very good fight. who knows maybe Canelo drops a good shot on floyd? To be honest inside I’m rooting for Canelo to win, not because I don’t like floyd or anything like that but because it’s in my nature to root for the underdog and see an upset.. and Canelo will no doubt be the underdog here. it’ll be a very good fight..

CORRECTION. …I do NOT go with the flow…the flow goes with ME…

CORRECTAMUNDO

Q-That’s why I usually just bypass all that and pick the clear WINNER which is a little more difficult to DO. That’s why there’s alot of homeless people in Vegas. And I’m SO astute at it that I make my picks as soon as the Fight is announced before any odds are even produced. SO no I do go with the flow. The flow goes with ME as it should. (Most are learning to join me in being CORRECT)

Juanma’s success and allure was short lived, he’s still a live dog here though logic tells you Mickey will out-skill and ultimately out class a game Juanma. Way to many flaws and wholes in Lopez’s game but lets not forget he also packs a solid equalizer. I’m looking forward to the event.

Q

remember, the favorites odds aren’t picked by experts, but rather what the majority is going for…. if you’re simply picking the favorite, you’re not a fight prophet, you’re just going with the flow, lol. At least add some depth to your pick… and we’ll see if what you imagine plays out. What style of attack will best serve whom? Which punches? what will likely happen down the stretch? how difficult should it be and why? At least go there, if you can. Most people can’t, I just about never see it from the user and often the “experts” miss details.

Q

correcta: It’s easy to pick a clear favorite (aka, the person more people think will win) what’s difficult is picking out the intangibles and gauging HOW that person will win, and how it could be difficult. That’s when you see who knows what. When you can pick on vulnerabilities and strengths between to combatants.

juanMa is a dangerous fighter regardless if he gases out in the late rounds, Mickey has to still get past the early rounds

This is a great match….I am picking Garcia to win but this is not going to be easy because Lopez does very well against boxer-punchers. Where he struggles is with sluggers and Garcia is far from that. I can see Lopez hurting Mickey but Garcia stamina will be the biggest factor in this fight as Lopez tends to fade in the late rounds. This is how I see it.

Mex – I give Canelo total credit for taking this fight with Mayweather I only dog him for having avoided the top guys in his division like Lara to get to this point.. but it will no doubt be Canelos first loss and I believe him and his team know this but that was not their goal it was the Mega Payday .. which I understand financially speaking..

Mex

P.E as much credit you give Juan ma for taking this fight you should give Canelo for taking his fight against the baddest boxer on the planet.

Mex – Mistake or not it does show that JuanMa is not scared to take on a top dog and not look for the EZ path back.. you got to give him credit for that.. Both guys seem to be nice guys and there’s no doubt this will be a tough fight.. I think Mickey will probably take it but If JuanMa gives him a good enough fight It should show that JuanMa is still here to be in the Mix.. Keep in Mind JuanMa has only two losses and he did beat Marquez, Leauvanu and Ponce Deleon at his prime.. not something anyone could do at the time.. It’s going to be another great fight.. for sure.. JuanMa is never in a boring fight…

Appropriately SO. Take the WINNER and take a QUICK 25% on your money.

Lopez is a 4 to 1 underdog

TARK

Lopez is going to try climb into Mikey’s left shoulder with right hooks as he circles right.. He’s going to try to follow up with hard straight lefts and more right hooks.. He’s got a great right hook so he’s going to land a few — it’s what he does.

Mikey has to stay with his jab which is tough against a southpaw of this caliber.. He’s prepared, so it’s a matter of never losing focus for a split-second.. It will be a very tough and interesting fight, because Lopez wants to land his head or a big straight left on that newly reconstructed nose.. Salido really crushed it with a savage headbutt.

I’m looking for Garcia to prevail.. He needs to be really alert and sharp because Lopez is dangerous — I’m sure he will be.

Squared-Circle (a.k.a. LionKing)

Should be a highly exciting scrap with some quality fireworks, but Mikey G is gonna cold-crush Juanito Lopez. Prediction: Mikey via late stoppage or WIDE UD. Real talk.

Posted June 12, 2013 11:39 pm

DEXTER MORGAN

I think Mickey should win this one fairly easy as Juanma has no defense which eventually leads to him getting hurt… Now Juanma has a ton of heart and his chin is not bad if he didnt get hit so much… I seen him stand there and trade with no legs after getting rocked and somehow survive the rd. Hes a tough guy with a punchers chance. But Mickey is too good over all… Lets see how Mickey reacts to getting hit back from Juanma…

Q: You may be right, but not knowing much about Garcia I must lean towards my fellow countryman. Juanma is in a must win situation, so I expect him to try his best. We only have just a few more days to find out. Anyway, may the best man win!

By the way, HBO will be available to subscribers of AT&T U-verse, Cox Cable, DirecTV, Dish Network and Verizon FIOS for a free preview from June 8, 2012 to June 11, 2012. So you can watch the fight, even if you are not an HBO subscriber.

Mex

P.E ….Juan ma is making big mistake for taking on Mikey. And real talk Canelo is making same mistake facing Mayweather so soon..

Posted June 12, 2013 10:07 pm

Q

Papo: He has to do more than that to win the bout, Mikey is a really good fighter, P4P skills, but anybody can get stopped, but it’s a punchers chance thing here, and I wouldn’t count against Mikey, he has some upper echelon skills.

Posted June 12, 2013 9:55 pm

Papo

I don’t know much about Mikey, though I heard he got skills. I know he beat Salido, who beat Juanma, twice, but I think (and hope) that Juanma has learned something from those two loses. He must be more patient, even when looking for the knock out. Going full force from the start trying to get his opponent out early has it consequences, especially when his opponent refuses to go down and keep fighting back.

Anyway , I take Juanma by KO.

Mex – you know this is going to be a great fight.. both guys are tough and very good.. have to give Mickey the edge as far as not having been in the Wars JuanMa has but JuanMa looks to be in Great Shape… it’ll be an Excellent matchup.. now what’s up with all this crazyness around here?

hookoffthejab: Yeah, I don’t watch boxing as much as I used to. At one point I didn’t miss a single bout, ever.

SUprised that Q has not seen Juanma fight b4

Posted June 12, 2013 8:24 pm

hookoffthejab

Garcia will be to sharp for Juanma. The PR fighter is to heavy of foot unless he can cut off Garcia and hit Mikey with that straight left …Well i guess thats Juanma only chance as his other skills have not been present enough to warrant his proficiency in them …..

Posted June 12, 2013 8:24 pm

Mex

Garcia is elite p4p!!!

Posted June 12, 2013 8:06 pm

Q

I’ve never watched Juanma fight, but I can tell you that Mikey Garcia has P4P elite skills, and I think he can earn his spot as replacing Canelo at 10th on Rings list, after what may well be a showcase of raw skill. He’s extremely skillful, but styles make fights, and I haven’t seen Juanma fight, so who knows. I have a lot of confidence in Garcia, he impressed the heck out of me, and he’s not an envious MA. His favorite fighter is FMJ, and his family thinks FMJ is the greatest of all time… that surprised me, but I liked Mikey BEFORE that.
