Totally agree DWC. We are missing a great division because guys that used to be considered real heavies are leaving the cruiser.

Adamek is not featherfisted, he does have ok power, and one of these days he’s going to win a heavyweight fight by surprising knockout. This might be that fight. Walker has serious punch resistance issues and has been spectacularly wobbled by less than stellar opponents. If Arreola couldn’t set himself and hurt Adamek then the much slower Walker has little or no chance of doing so. I see a fight where Walker comes in swinging for the fences, gets fatigued and actually gets stopped around the 7th. I’ve always liked Walker, and held out hope for a few years that he might one day be a replacement opponent for one of the Klitschko brothers. I would rather see Vitali fight him than Manuel Charr!!

If Adamek..Huck..Haye..that Russian guy Huck fought last year in a very close fight I forget his name, all fought each other at cruiser…wow. This is really where these guys are at their best their real weightclass. Its to bad the money and fame is in heavyweight div. causing guys to jump weight and the fans missing out on great match-ups in a div. where these guys belong.Adamek fighting Grant..Chambers..was o.k. but just to get killed by V.K. And his fights against a washed-up Golata and McBride was not so great.Really a cruiser tournement with these guys would be more then great and would show the best fighter in that div. something these guys wont be at hvwt.

Doc is right walker brings excitement, to the table and perhaps there could be a shock win. I think a point win for adameck but would love to see a win for walker

I have a strange feeling that Walker is going to KO Adamek. To be honest that would be the best scenerio for the HW division. Adamek was completely beatdown by Klitschko (no shame in that), but he also clearly lost to Chambers (who only fought with one arm from round 2 forwards). Wlaker is definitely flawed, but he brings huge excitement (he either KOs his opponent or gets KOd himself). Let’s wait and see.

Thomas TNT

Travis Walker has power just to slow for Adamek. Thomas Adamek an outstanding heavywieght boxing technician with very good hand speed, and great boxing skills, only down fall lack of power for a heavywieght

Bill (KlichKO brothers are the best REAL HEAVYWEIGHTS ever)

IT’S ONE OF THE BEST BOXING WEEKENDS EVER. JUST THINK ABOUT IT – KLICHKO CHARR, ABDUSALAMOV MCCLINE, JENNINGS, CUNNINGHAM, ADAMEK WALKER, WARD DAWSON. What a great boxing weekend! Just make sure you have enough good beer and snacks! :) All the best!

yep bluesman, I agree. I think it would be cool to get a trainer like Stewart for Walker to help him establish a vicious jab. Walker has potential.

BLUESMAN

235 is a great weight for Walker! I hope he knocks Adamek into the next century.
