How about we tell Broner to keep his left elbow out of Paulie’s neck and his forearm out of Paulie’s face? How about we tell Broner not to push down on the back of Paulie’s head and his back, then Paulie won’t be grabbing his leg in an effort to keep from being pushed to the mat? How about we tell Broner that loop-da-loop punches over the top of his head and in back of him are totally illegal punches? PAULIE DIDN’T RUN! He fought a full twelve rounds and you know it. Give it a rest.

“ight…., The blueprint is: Don’t throw a ton air punches at Broner… Don’t be running, dodging, grabbing, holding, pushing, and pouting the whole fight… Throw a lot harder than Paulie did, in case something lands… And don’t be tackling Broner around the left leg and pulling it into your groin area…” You’re pathetic, Tark.

Right…., The blueprint is: Don’t throw a ton air punches at Broner… Don’t be running, dodging, grabbing, holding, pushing, and pouting the whole fight… Throw a lot harder than Paulie did, in case something lands… And don’t be tackling Broner around the left leg and pulling it into your groin area…

HBO has its CROOKED JUDGES now Showtime will have its own thanks to Oscar de la HOya.

Two judges had it the same and than this “other so call judge” had it WAY different so Paulie is RIGHT for saying what he said.

Public Enemy: We’ve had our differences, but you are right on the money about what went down in the ring last night. PM won that fight and got robbed. Thanks for keeping it real, bro.

I would like to see Broner give a shot to Brook now that his fight with Alexander has been cancelled-after the HW fight Mitchell v Price would now be a good fight of rising contenders as both seem vulnerable- providing Price comes through against Thompson.

SREDMOND

Broners NOT a 154 pounder and why do guys have to project that to make him legitimate or illegitimate? If his teams smart they will let him do business at 140 with the
Other 5″6 1/2 fighters… He’s not suited to 154 and I am not really buying him at 147 when O saw his body vs Paulies… Broners got a lot of talent and even an off night against a World Class opponent got him a win, but he’s not a Glous Mayweather he does not have the legs…

srminimo

It’s me Ernie- that was me, srminimo:) ESB likes to forget whoI am, I guess. By the way,he did it by beating Pambele, Carlos Palomino and Maurice Hope, just to put in perspective what Paulie said about Broner having it easy on his way to winning his three.

HHLondon

Tark nailed it to be honest.

Malignaggi slapped his way through the fight, pit-a-pat punches walking backwards most of the fight.

This fight isn’t about the decision, but more about how overrated Broner is right now, he has miles to go and 147lbs against the feather-fisted Malignaggi has shown us he has very little power up here.

Some big dogs campaigning at 140-154 that won’t be too fazed by what they keep seeing with the dog and pony Broner show.

I appreciate the poster who stated Wilfred Benitez was the first to become a three time world champ by the age of 23…

I wonder which fight Tard, I meant Tark was watching. He must be as blind as that stupid jugde that had it 111-117

If Boner is so great and Paulie is so bad then why didn’t he plow right through him?

I SAID that SKILLS was more important than being acclimated to a certain weight and I was CORRECT yet again!!! I guess that’s why my name is CORRECTAMUNDO!!!

Tark- Benitez was a 3 division world champ at 23. And it’s hard to give him credit when the title was supposed to be handed to him in a silver platter. After all, Paulie is probably the lightest punching ww champ in history and looked pretty bad last time out, not to mention he has lost badly every time he stepped up to the elite level, which is what Broner is supposed to be. But Broner really didn’t hurt him, never had him in trouble, fought dirty and after the fight behaved like a complete fool. I’ve liked Broner and found him amusing in the past, but last night he was none of those things. Maybe Al Haymon’s grill got to his head.

Hope Broner stays at welterweight – it would be interesting to see him against a big welter with power, who might bother him to the body and bring his hands down.

Pubicenemyisdumb

Gee PublicEnemy for once you write something that makes sense and I agree with you

Posted June 23, 2013 11:04 am

Popkins

Public Enemy….good point. Neither man was hurt or dropped in the fight. People assume Broner landed the harder punches, but this is purely subjective. What is not subjective is that Malignaggi landed more punches than Broner in this fight. And as for superficial skin damage….Paulie’s facial bruising had absolutely no impact on the fight. Some fighters cut/bruise more easily than others – but if it doesn’t impair their vision/cause a TKO, it means bugger all.

Posted June 23, 2013 10:37 am

Papo

Broner is lucky Paulie doens’t have any punching power…of course, that’s the reason why he was picked. I think Broner will have a tough time against many of the top welterweights or junior welterweights.

This fight should’ve been called a draw. The referee that only gave Paulie three rounds should be drug tested and investigated. It’s ridiculous how the boxing commision allows these type of scores without performing any type of investigation on judges.

Big Al

Ref should’ve done something about Broner’s repeated kidney shots in the back.

Darxide

If this guy Broner is the next great thing, then god help boxing! My guess is he will either be protected for a long time to come or be beaten in his first defence.

Posted June 23, 2013 8:59 am

Darrin

Hats of to Paulie……. BTW…. Paulie landed more and threw more. This is boxing. While Paulie may not have the heaviest hands he did exactly what he was supposed to do. My prediction for Boner is that he won’t be able to handle the lifestyle he is choosing to lead and will eventually meet his downfall with a combination of being defeated and the police. The writing is on the wall. The kid admitted he was a criminal during the preflight show…. Not a very bright guy

“fkn douchebag..” What do you expect from a guy who put gold crowns on 18 of his teeth? LMAO! Talk about a circus act!

Posted June 23, 2013 8:53 am

Hidalgo

Paulie effectively negated Broner’s attack for most of the fight. That’s why Broner looked so bad. The majority of people thought Broner was going to walk all over Paullie. That didn’t happen. As for the loud mouth in the back of the room at the presser, he’s very lucky Paulie didn’t walk over and sort him out. Broner couldn’t do squat with Paulie. WTF did the wanker staring at Paulie’s family think he was going to do?

Posted June 23, 2013 8:51 am

Hidalgo

“All you kept hearing was the house announcers hype up any shot Broner landed or came close to landing..” This is true, P.E. Even Al Berstein and his crew were lauding Broner for everything he did. Clearly Broner was the chosen one in this fight. Paulie knew it too.

Posted June 23, 2013 8:46 am

Popkins

Eddie Hearns should be getting Ricky Burns in a ring with Broner ASAP. Burns has Malignaggi’s work rate and chin, but he hits a little harder – Ricky would have a great chance of taking Broner’s “0”.

Posted June 23, 2013 8:18 am

Popkins

I scored the fight a draw. A round either way is fair too. The ref should really have deducted at least one point from Broner though….which would have resulted in Malignaggi winning IMO..
