Chargev never foguht vitali he fought and got murdered by wlad. Vital does very well against slow plodding short guys. He does well against blown up crusiers who are mobile but he does appears to struggle or at least not completely overwhelm guys around his size. It is hard to say because he has only fought one guy his size and another guy who was 6’5 and that was lewis. Both were hard fights. That is what I am trying to say.Posted July 11, 2013 6:46 am
rod ; Chagaev beat Valuev easily . Valuev is 7’2″ and Chagaev is 6′ 2″ ! So,
Im not a Kbro hater, wlad is clearly the king. He has faced much better guys that Vitali has over the last 8 years and at least he is starting to fight guys around his size.Posted July 10, 2013 12:27 pm
I agree Vitali beat chisora easily. Vitali is 6’8, chisoira 6’2. When is Vitali going to fight someone his own size. He had to slug it out with a 6’8 bum named timo hoffman. Styles make fights, vitali loves short fat guys but hates guys who can reach him and have power.Posted July 10, 2013 12:25 pm
Yeah… Wilder is killing Liakhovich next..Posted July 9, 2013 10:37 pm
Any word on who Wilder is fighting next? Chisora is off since Wilder’s busy beating his wife’s ass and had his passport revoked.Posted July 9, 2013 5:46 pm
The “great” Haye??!! Thanks for the comic relief! !!Posted July 9, 2013 3:42 am
“Chisora is the the gatekeeper”
Chisora is a bum. He never fought Wlad and a one arm Vitali beat him easily over 12. Brittards galore….Posted July 9, 2013 3:41 am
“Price still has that KO punch that will beat anyone, needs to work on his stamina etc, he is not done yet.”
Oh you silly Brittard. Give up.Posted July 9, 2013 3:39 am
“Haye is the only fighter who can beat the Klitschkos”
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Haye getting humiliated once by Wlad wasn’t enough for you?Posted July 9, 2013 3:38 am
Thompson : the most underated heavyweight since Corrie Sanders.Posted July 8, 2013 8:46 pm
NOPE… I always criticized the way Price was handled… Said he needed a lot more fights and many more rounds before they moved up his comp.. I specifically pointed out the anemic number of rounds he had.. I also said he needed a conditioning trainer and strength trainer — particularly for his legs, which are very clunky.. Potential is there … team isn’t there.Posted July 8, 2013 7:45 pm
Tark…Sounds like your jumping off the Price hype train. Not to long ago you were building him up big time..size..never overweight..trains hard..power..nice stance..athletic..ect.Wilder saying Price needs conditioning is like saying when you go swimming you get wet.But bad lungs can be like a bad chin, not alot of help, some most likely never enough improvement. And Price needs a fighters mind-set,a jab, learn to fight on the backfoot, underpressure.Price also dosent know what type of fighter he is,he hasnt found himself. At times hes bounceing up and down like a L.L. without a jab just wasting energy, then hes flat looking for power shots, without following up.The guy has way to much to learn at 30,the problem of turning pro late fighting sub-par fighters.Price another oversized over hyped hvwt. all size not much else.I to thought he was going to do big things, but when I seen him fighting off his backfoot even for a moment a couple of fights ago a red flag went up for abit. But I over looked it now Im sure hes done as a major force.Take away the k-bros. medicore is being to kind to these top guys.Posted July 8, 2013 3:46 pm
PRICE IS TWO BOB SO IS THOMPSOMPosted July 8, 2013 3:15 pm
Price needs a great conditioning coach… Just like Wilder said… He also needs a great strength trainer—there’s a ton of lousy strength trainers so you have to be extremely careful selecting one–and a great boxing trainer.
Lewis isn’t seeing this correctly — with just targeting DP’s endurance… You can’t move a kid like Price into a 20 million dollar fight in 3 training camps… You have to be a lot more patient than that — because you didn’t get there yourself overnight … You had to address a few issues and you didn’t begin to get them done in one camp or 2 camps.Posted July 8, 2013 3:03 pm
I think Price got punched out by Thompson. Thompson was landing very effective short shots and uppercuts to the head and wicked body shots. Price was hurt and Thompson knew it and let loose the barrage that took Price out. The ref gave Price a standing 8 count and then waved him off when he saw nobody at home in the eyes. A great fight plan by Thompson.Posted July 8, 2013 11:36 am
First fight seemed to be Price’s chin, that held up this time, but his stamina didnt. Thats what happens when you blow away 15 fighters and never go beyond 4 rounds, you are not conditioned to do it, have no experience of it etc. The same would happen to Wilder Vs Thompson. Fury is another matter, he does have good stamina, and can take a shot, and he is faster, more mobile and has a greater arsenal than either Price or Wilder, who seem very similar to me, apart from Wilder being even less skilled and less tested than Price.Posted July 8, 2013 11:00 am
Thompson could make a living just exposing hype jobs for the next 2 years and retire rich and mentally functioning. Wilder, Fury (x2), too bad fatso Welliver isn’t around anymore.Posted July 8, 2013 10:55 am
As much as people knock him, he is right concerning PricePosted July 8, 2013 8:47 am
Wilder v Price? Bombs away for the first round at least!!Posted July 8, 2013 7:07 am
I say he gets Thompson out in 3 to 6 rounds… After he gets rid of Liakhovich in similar fashion.Posted July 8, 2013 1:08 am
Wilder is a dumb turd that is going to get flushed once he stops rolling through his utterly pathetic list of opposition while waiting dsesperately for the Klitschko’s to retire.
He has no left hand, he was getting outjabbed by a 300lb shaved ewok called Dustin Nicholls.
He is pathetic.Posted July 8, 2013 12:22 am
Not only did Thompson have more KO’s than Price had Fights..
Thompson had more fights than Price had rounds … both times they met.Posted July 7, 2013 11:33 pm
It’s not punching that tires you out so much.. It’s getting punched.. When your defense is lousy—and you’re facing a crafty fighter who’s tagging you—you’re pumping adrenaline like crazy. You’re going to get tired very quickly.
Joe Frazier was used to going 15 rounds but Foreman was hitting him with everything he threw. After the 4th or 5th knockdown you could see Frazier had no energy to fight back. He was exhausted from adrenaline depletion. He never faced a 6’3”X217 smashing machine before. New experiences are a killer for many boxers. It’s like being tossed overboard when you can’t swim—you panic, exhaust yourself quickly, and drown. If you’re an expert swimmer you’re fine. A masterful defender would laugh at Thompson.
You don’t put a man with 15 easy wins—and almost no rounds—in with somebody who earned 2 mandatory title shots. Then, after DP got knocked out in 2 rounds—you don’t throw him back in the lion’s den with the same guy. That’s as dumb as it gets.
Wilder is very insightful. Price needs a great conditioning trainer.. He also needs a great strength trainer… but MOST of all a great boxing trainer.. Because he’s so green—his defense is full of holes.Posted July 7, 2013 11:25 pm
Wilder cannot comment.Posted July 7, 2013 11:05 pm
Wilder, 28 -0, calls Price to cautious? I reckon Deontay should give up boxing and go on the comedy circuit. Thompson would eat that fraud as a light snack! IF he ever gets in the ring with someone live enough to stay awake THEN he can give advice. And ONLY Then Doctor, below, has the beat. And a beating would be what Wilder would get from TT.Posted July 7, 2013 10:27 pm
what’s “the great” Haye’s best win at HW? Monte Barrett? Derek Chisora? Hell, what’s his best win at CW?Posted July 7, 2013 8:57 pm
Price/Thompson was a very good fight. Thompson was very clever and skilled in close.Posted July 7, 2013 7:46 pm
The “great” Haye??!! Thanks for the comic relief! !!Posted July 7, 2013 7:25 pm
Appreciate the great Haye, 212lbs, and the 3rd best Heavyweight by a mile.Posted July 7, 2013 6:37 pm
Now and next
Can’t beat the Europeans, they are too big and too good, they run Heavyweight Boxing now, they will not be beat.Posted July 7, 2013 6:34 pm
Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)
28-0 all by KO is an impressive record, so is winning an Olympic Bronze Medal.
But Wilder really needs to step-up his level of competition already and start fighting some top-10 contenders. What’s he gonna do, wait for the K-Bros to retire before making some real moves???
Why not go KO that HYPE-TRAIN Seth Mitchell and try to get a fight with Jennings or Thompson? Let’s find out who the best American HW really is.Posted July 7, 2013 6:27 pm
I’ve got nothing against Wilder but at least Price stepped up which is more than you can say for Wilder. Wilder has been so protected that you have to wonder about his chin, too. I’d make a prime Butterbean even money with Wilder at this point. How are ever going to know if Wilder actually has real potential if he never fights a live body? Doubt the White Wolf has anything left at this point, but maybe we’ll find out if Wilder doesn’t go to prison for assaulting a woman in Vegas.Posted July 7, 2013 6:18 pm
Chisora is the the gatekeeper, you have to fight him, he doesn’t get knocked out against the Klitschkos, good stamina, he probably beat Thompson, not Haye, styles, Haye justs knocks you out.Posted July 7, 2013 5:35 pm
truth be told
Wilder putting himself up there with lewis? I’ll be so glad when wladimar stretches him out.Posted July 7, 2013 5:26 pm
you don’t hear the alabama jackass aka the windmill calling out the tiger now do you fricken fraudPosted July 7, 2013 5:19 pm
Wilder says Price was to cautious…yes Wilder knows about being cautious look at his record…Posted July 7, 2013 5:18 pm
Price is like a lot of guys who once they have to plant their feet and actually fight back, they fold – There is absolutely nothing about Wilder to suggest that he will react any differently than Price did when he actually decides to face a live body many moons from now.Posted July 7, 2013 5:05 pm
We will find out more bout wilder when he starts fighting more live bodies. But 28-0 w 28 ko is impressive i dont care who u fighting! I think wilder will smash thompson and price.Posted July 7, 2013 4:57 pm
Haye is the only fighter who can beat the Klitschkos, he should of thrown more punches earlier in the fight against Vladimir Klitschko, not leave it to the last round, you have got to take a risk to get through that jab and height advantage, then bang, knockout.Posted July 7, 2013 4:50 pm
thompson should begin right here if he faced a us fighter. tiger-wilder. let’s see the chin.Posted July 7, 2013 4:46 pm
I would find it difficult to take advise from a fighter that hadn’t fought anybody who could actually breath let alone gas out. Wilder is yet to be exposed but like all the hype jobs much is made of them well before they have earned any respect, not their fault, but all seem to get caught up in the euphoria and carried along with the it only to fall at the first hint of meeting anybody with experience. Wladimir must really be enjoying this all, there is simply nobody remotely up to the task of seeing him off.Posted July 7, 2013 4:43 pm
Oh Deontay, he wasn’t as cautious as your fighting records list of opponents.Posted July 7, 2013 4:36 pm
Price still has that KO punch that will beat anyone, needs to work on his stamina etc, he is not done yet.Posted July 7, 2013 4:28 pm
Wilder is over rated, but at least he will fight anyone and is exciting!!!Posted July 7, 2013 3:56 pm
Wilder is another hype job waiting to get knocked out.Posted July 7, 2013 3:47 pm
