A good fight, Pulev/Chisora. But Pulev is fearless and will take care of Chisora. See Pulev/Freightrain for a bombs away fight. Pulev has a better chin than Chisora.Posted July 25, 2013 12:11 pm

KL… I never heard Chisora say that – but Foreman was the only big, tall, solid 6’3” X 217 powerhouse puncher Frazier ever faced… If you’re a heavyweight who can’t box—and you try to run over everybody—eventually you’ll run into somebody who’s bigger, stronger, and punches harder. Frazier didn’t have the chance of a snowball in Hell with Foreman.
Chisora would be better off with Jimmy Young as a role model.. Jimmy was a small heavyweight too—but he whipped Foreman by boxing him.Posted July 23, 2013 9:38 pm

@Wes, that was the exception. Everyone knows its rarer than hens teeth to win a decision in Germany. “you have to knock em out to get a draw” You might have heard that before. That’s only used for German boxing. Nazi corrupt boxing scum. Boxing should be banned there once and for all.Posted July 23, 2013 6:44 pm

@backspace anyone who knows the sport knows that germany is the WORST place by a country mile. The traveling fighter will NEVER get a proper deal and thats FACT. This happens week in week out. Its so sad. They have the refs and doctors already bought. If you want further proof check out Reid against that girl Ottke who should have had about 12-15 losses on his career. At one stage the ref warns Reid for punching Ottke in the face!! Thats boxing in Germany for you. The UK is by far the cleanest place you could hope to box.Posted July 23, 2013 5:39 am

KL…, “Chisora thinks he is the next Joe Frazier”
So Frazier… 5’10″ X 205… Left hooker… wide open… tough… crushed by a big puncher… and this is Chisora’s ideal to model himself after???
OK… Dereck’s got the wide open… tough… and crushed by a big puncher things down… but he sure isn’t 205 or 5’10, and has a little more variety in the punches he throws … so he has a lot of work to do.Posted July 23, 2013 1:55 am

Decker I agree about your comments about Chisora, he’s hyping himself up about getting another title shot…….clearly he is some way off that.
As for Chisora…….his next opponent is………Wilder……or maybe Thompson…………or maybe Price………or could be Pulev……..although I wouldn’t rule out Charr.Posted July 22, 2013 11:25 pm
It’s quite clear who Pulev is fighting next, It’s Fury…….make that Adamek…….nope make that Chagaev……….no It’s Thompson…….make that Chisora………..now what could be clearer than that!Posted July 22, 2013 11:21 pm
I read half the comments – that was enough.
Regarding Chisora, even though he’s a maniac, I like his come forward style and that he’ll fight anybody. However if Pulev is overrated, what’s Chisora? He has a controversial win over the never tested Scott and some fans are getting all worked up over Del Boy. As far as his bout vs Helenius, the Finn injured his right early in the fight (he had surgery later). That admittedly controversial loss has been Chisora’s best “win”. A non injured Rob H beats DC.
Pulev-Chisora could be a good, competitive fight. I favor the Bulgarian.Posted July 22, 2013 11:04 pm

This means the Pulev-Thompson negotiation is off???
Does beating Price twice count for more than beating skinny Scott with a foul blow—and with the aid of a quick count—and a 9-count at that??? England has more pull than America I guess, along with more DQ’s, quick stoppages, and quick counts on American fighters. Fury wins on a fout blow in America. That’s all right.
Who did Scott ever beat? Who did Chisora ever beat besides Helenius?Posted July 22, 2013 6:22 pm

Dirrel was rooked. He clearly won the last two rounds of a close fight. Meaning only way he could lose is if you had froch up 7-3 after 10 rounds which is wrong. And the fight would of been a draw if the one judge didn’t give froch round 11. Dirrell got robbed all over the place. No shame over there never. And I can’t believe how casual you guys are about what happened with Scott. If it happened here to Chisora you guys would be going out your mindsPosted July 22, 2013 5:22 pm
chisora and scott, neither has even one credible victory to their name. talk about overrated.Posted July 22, 2013 5:09 pm
Pulev is a solid performer, but doesn’t have the speed or single shot power to be the kind of animal many are starting to believe he is.
Looking forward to winning some money on Chisora if the fight comes about and the bookies get on the Pulev bandwagon.Posted July 22, 2013 4:59 pm
Good Heavyweights are Rare
Why doesn’t Pulev just fight Wlad if he is that good or is Wlad ducking him?
I really just don’t see what’s special about all these fighters the fans like to hype up in the HW division.
Wlad is the only good one out there other than his brother. The only one that looks like he is in tip top shape and knows how to box, throw, and move properly from his head to toe.Posted July 22, 2013 4:54 pm
@ Greatest – I totally agree with you about Pulev. I have watched some of his fights on Youtube, and there is nothing special about him. Average power, average speed, average skill… He may well beat (outpoint) Chisora, because I don’t think that Chisora, although tough, is very skilled either. The good point is that at least some of the “contenders” (I use that word loosely in the current dismal state of HW boxing) are starting to fight each other.Posted July 22, 2013 4:35 pm
Hey, That’s My Bike!!!
I haven’t seen Pulev fight. I’m wondering why everyone thinks Pulev is the ‘Master of Disaster’ with only 9KO next to 17 fights? Has he fought quality opposition early in his career? Are his boxing skills that far above other challengers, prospects out there? Just asking why everyone seems to think this Pulev is a beast or the future of the heavyweight division.Posted July 22, 2013 4:17 pm

Don’t do this, Delboy! Ask Thompson, ask Helenius, ask Price. DO NOT TAKE PULEV AS YOUR NEXT OPPONENT! You’re on your way back to the top 10, don’t ruin it by taking a fight you will definitely lose! That’s a bad career choice. Warren, don’t do this to Dereck. Not now.Posted July 22, 2013 2:56 pm

Pulev should have too much for Chisora I think. Interesting to see, recently, the overhyped and/or padded records coming unstuck when they step up. Mitchell has been exposed as have both Price and Scott. Pov will surely finally be shown to be nothing but noise – assuming he gets in the ring. How soon before Fury and Wilder get theirs? If this is the “young crop”, the next generation, the Klitchko have very little to be concerned about. And FFS don’t tell me Haye is entitled to another shot! OH for a REAL opponent for one of the brothers….Posted July 22, 2013 2:09 pm

Pulev is today’s version of Ibragimov, in other words he is mediocre, though I still think he beat Chisora on points rather easily. Saying Chisora is in hot form, totally misses the mark. Chisora looked sloppy and crap, as always, in the last fight. He’s a very primitive fighter with very few options.Posted July 22, 2013 12:58 pm
Grеаtеst f.u.c’k уou mаthеr bitcPosted July 22, 2013 12:56 pm
As for Chisora, his record is deceptive – the Helenius fight was a flat out robbery and I wouldn’t even count that as a loss. Fury aside (for which Chisora was heavily overweight), his only other losses came against arguably the best heavyweight from the last decade and a nailed on future Hall of Famer in Vitali and a heavy hitting two weight world champion.Posted July 22, 2013 12:55 pm
Pulev is by far the most overrated heavyweight in the world – comments like ‘Pulev by destruction in 6′? His only 2 wins that are even close to credible have come against talentless giants in laboured 11th round stoppages. His power is limited, his speed is average, everything is average – I just don’t see what he’s got going for him. I’d take Wlad, Vitali, Haye, Fury, Thompson, Wilder over him and I’d give dozens of others a shot too, including Chisora.Posted July 22, 2013 12:51 pm
Chisora v Pulev for the EBU belt is a decent fight. Pulev might vacate to take on Tony Thompson. Kubrat wants a world title fight at this stage. Chisora v Pulev, Helenius, Boytsov, those type of guys, is a good Euro level type fight. Many of the best Europeans hold world belts or not looking at the EBU belt right now.Posted July 22, 2013 12:49 pm
Pulеv is 6/4,5 249-250 lbs vеrу fаst аnd hаvе grеаt foot work , good chin, stаminа аnd psуhicаl mеntаl strong, shаrp jаb good right hаndPosted July 22, 2013 12:48 pm
Not saying much for the other European heavyweights is it, Chisora wins, on a disputed call by some, his first win in 5 fights, and all of a sudden everyone is ranting about him, by the way wasn’t he behind in the fight when the ref stopped it so quickly? I’m not blaming Chisora, he’s a fighter and a win is a win, but don’t keep raving over a win over Malik Scott.Posted July 22, 2013 12:22 pm
Pulev by destruction in 6Posted July 22, 2013 12:18 pm
I agree that the Chisora vs Scott fight and stoppage were both disappointing. The punch that dropped Scott was crap, Scott was not hurt he just took to much time to get up but hte ref should have given him the benefit of the doubt it was overly obvious he wasn’t hurt.
Too bad Chisora is being fed to Pulev I’d much rather see Wilder exposed by Del Boy.Posted July 22, 2013 12:15 pm

Whatever you say about chisora he is the ONLY guy out there not avoiding pulev. Fury and adamek are among the few even though a win would gaurntee a shot at a world title. I’ve never seen pulev but would be great to see him fight in the UK. By what I have herd about pulev he most probably will win with a stoppage but will be a good fight for the fans. As for Scott I feel for the guy how ever the English referees are among the worst in the world and will stop a fight as soon as they can which is very upsetting as you may never get a comeback fight happen. However Scott is boring and offers fight fans zero in excitement so even though the right thing for chisora to do is offer a rematch I believe fighting pulev will offer far more excitementPosted July 22, 2013 11:46 am
