1-2Yea were a bunch of cheaters, yea right. Take a look at the top fighters and tell me how many gold medalists are champs right now. Olympic boxing unfortunately has changed and its a sprint not a match. Amateur boxing is throw 150 punches a round and hold or clinch when you cant throw so the other boxer cant let his hands go. I changed my mind with this Olympics and I don’t care how our fighhters will do cause they more than likely will have better pro careers than the top 3 in the olys. Posted August 4, 2012 10:24 pmM. MendozaOne can only hope that this conscientious attitude and practice be adopted by professional boxing. Posted August 4, 2012 4:25 pmusywebsites been ruined. chang it back!!!!!!!!!! Posted August 4, 2012 2:51 pmMr RubesI see USA are cheating again Posted August 4, 2012 12:16 pmmo_defythe over-ruling was unfair……spence didnt win the bout cleanly either. Vikas didnt have a good fight, but a rematch on any given day, he’s amongst the best in his weight category Posted August 4, 2012 12:08 pmTony1244I was rooting for Spence. If it was a pro fight it should have been a draw. I understand overturning the Bantamweight fight that the Japanese guy won, but overturning this fight sets a bad precedent. No one will be really sure if they won or not. Posted August 4, 2012 9:20 amJimThe Iranian was mugged. That was a disgrace. If he were from the UK or US he would have been reinstated within the hour. As it is they swept it under the carpet. Posted August 4, 2012 9:09 amULALA herebyAmerica think they are best but to me they are pest. They mustn’t pressurize anyone. As UNO also knows that Americans like to dominate all countries and think the leaf of a tree can only move/swing by their alone intention. If they want, the people will inhale and if they don’t, nobody can…. The Great American’s mode of Wrestling: The Cheating Sample can also be seen in their WWE Style Fighting which tells their thinking what they do what they like. Real Fighting are never seen at this Great Place called as USA and still they are best. Ummmm…. They are pest. Posted August 4, 2012 7:59 amMogamboThis was the American’s pressure that all referee get changed like lime water. It’s something chemical reaction like. Isn’t it? Posted August 4, 2012 7:54 amRed RyanWhat about that poor guy from Iran he got ripped off big time, i stopped watching the boxing after that. Beach volleyball all week… Posted August 4, 2012 7:42 amboxing4lifeSince this is out of the way. Think about the ukrai no cluebtw.. the layout isn’t that bad.. but the black backdrop to white text isn’ the best idea Posted August 4, 2012 5:17 amFight AficionadoAgreed. Fortunately they overturned the Spence robbery. I figure Spence and Diaz are the best American pro prospects from this Olympic class and considered them shoo-ins to medal. Diaz got a tough draw going against the Cuban and I didn’t see that bout so I can’t say he was robbed. Either way, of our 9 who qualified we’ve got just 1 guy left after 2 rounds. USA USA! Posted August 4, 2012 4:31 amBoxing passionOn another note im really impessed with spence dude s got pop and speed, hes gonna do good i the pros Posted August 4, 2012 3:14 amBoxing passionFirst of what the heck happen with this website second to the person saying he feels guilty, of what? Spence clearly wooped that ass im glad they turned it around diaz also got robbed they should have turned that around too Posted August 4, 2012 3:06 amRichBY THE WAY E S B…YOU HAVE DONE YOURSELF NO FAVOURS CHANGING YOUR WEBSITE… Posted August 4, 2012 3:00 amRichGlad to hear that…..I was so disgusted I turned it of and sulked…. Posted August 4, 2012 2:54 amAnonymousRead the article properly, it says the contest was overturned for holding, the spitting of the mouth piece was ignored. Posted August 4, 2012 2:42 amAnonymousRead the article properly, it says the contest was overturned because of to much holding, the mouth piece spitting was ignored. Posted August 4, 2012 2:41 ammogothe judging is these Olympics is the most horrible thing we’ve ever seen… They seem like they have absolutely no idea and no clue about what they’r doing. If they can’t do their job punching buttons correctly, they should all be fired. Also, it’s funny how they can’t overturn the decision against the Ukrainian Khytrov, though there were several appeals– is that because he fought a British guy – and those decisions can never be overturned?! Posted August 4, 2012 2:25 amKO KIDDSeriously they over turned it cause he spit out his mouth piece Posted August 4, 2012 1:50 ambobcatsThat decision was one big joke. I am gldc justice was served. Posted August 4, 2012 1:29 amfight aficionadoFine decision here. Wish pro boxing did this. Posted August 4, 2012 1:24 amsiegfried“After reviewing the video” very good idea if it should be practiced in prof boxing. Posted August 4, 2012 12:17 amEl flacoWe need Judges like these in the WBC Posted August 4, 2012 12:09 amJimR:evil: Um we all love duh new slower um harder to navigate website, yippie!! Posted August 3, 2012 11:39 pmDaveWhat in gods name has happened to this once great website?????? Tony1244I’m shocked. Close fight and I was rooting for Spence, but to overturn something like this seems unprecedented. Happy but feeling a bit guilty about it. Posted August 3, 2012 10:44 pmAlonzoQuestion. I understand that the “judges” have to push either a red button or a blue button for each scoring punch. Do they have their right hand on one button and the left on another? And if so does their dominant hand push the button underneath it resulting in skewed scoring? Posted August 3, 2012 10:38 pmGSBI have been watching the Archery in the Olympics, that’s a good sport, watched most of that,Judo,Rowing not as good as the Athletics though. Posted August 3, 2012 10:27 pmAlonzoDid I wake up in an alternate universe where the eastside boxing website suddenly suck? Posted August 3, 2012 10:18 pmGonzo The DragonbornGlad they did that. They should bring back that poor Iranian kid who got disqualified for holding against the Cuban too and shoot the referee in the forehead with a elephant rifle. Both fighters were guilty of holding and the ref was extremely harsh. The Cuban and the Ukrainian who got jobbed against my countrymen should get brought back too. Thank Christ they didn’t give that Michael Hunter the decision against the Russian though. Hunter tried to cheat his way to victory with some of the most excessive and blatant holding I’ve seen since Andre Ward cheated his way through the Olympic semi final against the Uzbek. Posted August 3, 2012 10:15 pmrbl3000What’s the point of having judges, crooked or not, if a committee has to do their job for them. Posted August 3, 2012 10:15 pmGSBGive the USA a chance,a chance for a Bronze medal and to everyone moaning about the website, it’s all new,you have to learn again. Posted August 3, 2012 10:15 pmAlonzoWhat the hell happened to the website–it’s about as bad as sherdog’s when they changed theirs! Posted August 3, 2012 10:03 pmPapoNot just Olympic boxing, but boxing in general has become a joke. From Olympic officials who appear not to know even the basic rules, to the so-called professional judges who intentionally and through daylight robbery score bouts to the obvious loser. Boxing just can’t get any lower…well I hope that’s not! Posted August 3, 2012 10:00 pm |
