Fighter

It is what it is man…they had Paul Williams in line next unfortunaly he suffered a serious motorcycle crash. Inking Williams was perfect (he himself being an avoided fighter) Alvarez is a serious deal, he ain’t your run of the mill 22 yr old boxer and his weight class knows this, his last opponents…Aging Shane Mosley (not their first choice I’m sure), Alfonso Gomez, Kermit Cintron, Carlos Baldimir, Matthew Hatton as opposed to James Kirkland, Alfredo Angulo, Vanes Martirosian, Miguel Cotto, Sergiy Dzinzuik, etc. If he gets passed Lopez, they gotta make it a point to ink one of the latter mentioned guys next.

I got Lopez on this one he looks to be holding the weight he’s gonna use his reach and movement to confuse Canelo. UD Lopez a new star is gonna be born.

No sin here; having a non PPV option is great for the sport.

Can’t wait for Lopez to lose so I don’t have to hear about how he’s “rocky”. He was in a tough fight with Ortiz, who isn’t the greatest fighter ever..but until he got his jaw broke, Ortiz gave just as good as he got and probably would’ve won (but he didn’t, I know).

i got canelo winning by decsion or late round stoppage canelo is mentally tougher then victor ortiz and better defensive then ortiz canelo is smart he know not to take lopez lighty or he pay the same price victor did i think lopez and his team going to be surprised how well schooled canelo is in that ring

canelo in a bad spot cause if he wins people going to say he was suppose to win cause he bigger if he lose that going to hurt his status cause he lose to a smaller fighter or even if he struggle

A very well-written and intelligent article-for a change. I agree that it may be a difficult choice for fans. Was it good business sense to have such competition one the same evening? Would it not have been better to have scheduled these fights at different times so that the boxing fans could benefit from both? We all know that boxing fans deserve a lot better than they have been getting. Personally, I prefer to watch Martinez-Chavez but I also want to see Lopez-Alvarez. I know that I’m not alone in this situation. Bad business sense.

Come on Canelo! Fight someone your own size, and stop avoiding all the ranked guys in your division. Try fighting Ersyland Lara. This bull you and your promoters continue to do is destroying boxing. You’re good, but anyone would look good fighting guys you take on. You’re beginning to get too big of an ego also. Reminder, you haven’t beaten anyone of any substance yet, and you have done anything in boxing. You’re living off the generous and Mexican fight fans that love boxing and is hopeful that you will be something special. Mexican fight fans will stick with you until the very end, so why don’t you make some kind of statement and fight someone that’s not coming up two weight divisions and has only one style of fighting, which is to brawl. The perfect fight for you. I hope Josesito Lopez kicks your red headed ass good. Lopez is a true warrior and fights anyone including guys that are naturally bigger and probably more talented, but he’s a true Mexican warrior. let’s go Lopez!!!!
