RAY GORDON REID

I DONT WATCH UFC OR MMA

MMA is boxing for people with ADD. Just want to see blood and a quick KO. That Figueroa fight had nothing to do with the sweet science. Got to give respect to the guys for fighting hard, but there wasnt much skill involved. Omar switches stance while throwing a punch, no balance, wide punches. He wont be world class. I’m just saying I still wouldnt want to watch a fight with a fan you described. The GB v TR promoter feud is killing boxing, and they dont market as well as MMA.

You guys don’t know how to enjoy cage fighting because you haven’t drunk enough and are too sober.

FEARS

Great piece brother! I identify with your feelings totally! I was born and raised in Detroit (a fight town), where my Father was a MW Boxer before he landed a job at Ford Motor Co., so Boxing was always the 1st sport in our house. Now I live in Mississippi and it is soooo hard to have a profound Boxing conversation with anyone (which is why I spend so much time on this site). Example: I can tell someone “You need to see this Froch/Groves fight because Carl Froch is bad to the bone!” and the first thing the average person will say is “I bet he can’t beat Mayweather!” as I sigh and drop my head in utter disgust!
