KL, you could be right about that. Some of those guys have so many issues with promoters that they just gravitate their lifestyle out of it. It’s sad because I can say with confidence that Boytsov fought MUCH better opposition and looked much more polished all the while being a much shorter fighter.

Why on earth is Wilder wearing this metal mask ? is he a fan of the eighties heavy metalband crimson glory ? Are Wilder what Spinal Tap was for the Heavy Metal world ? :-D

Gunboot”Tells us nothing really‚Ķ.STILL no live opponent.” Whilst I agree it would be great to see how Wilder fares against another top contender, I don’t agree that the Liahkovich fight tells us nothing.
Whilst past their best Wilder has Koed 2 named fighters inside the first round………..it wasn’t so long ago that some critics argued that Wilder didn’t really have KO power it was his crap opponents that flattered his power………..but now since his destruction of Fraudley, we can clearly say that Wilder does have power…….allied with very fast hands for a heavyweight.
Now sure you can argue that Fraudlley can easily be koed…….but let’s not forget he got Koed by Haye and Price, 2 of the heaviest punchers in the division. Now aside from the Sprott KO, Fraudley hasn’t been koed by any of his other opponents, and Fraudley had just won the Prize fighter tournament just before he fought Wilder, where Fraudley managed to KO 2 of his 3 opponents.
And then you have Liahkovoch, again past his prime but other contenders Helenius & Jenningshad go at least 8/9 rounds with Liahkovic………so again it’s strong evidence of that Wilder possesses fast speed and very good power……….something that many were doubtful of even just 3 fights ago.
Now what we need to find out is how good Wilder’s defense is……. and I believe this stepping stone fight with Liahkovich will open the the gates to better competition…….and we are about to see if Wilder has the complete package or only part of the tools needed to make it……..but so far so good.

Dionysus, when are we going to see Boystov finally step up???
Fighting a 10 fight novice shows absolutely NO appetite to step up. If Boystov was serious about making an assault on the heavyweight crown, then you don’t allow yourself to get out of shape in between fights, especially right now, Boystov looked liked he followed Tua into Burger King!
Even the past peak Liahkovich looked in better shape than Boystov did!
Something tells me Boystov will fade from memory soon, whilst Wilder’s stock rises.

Broner said he’ll F*** Maidana up. Then he said he wants Mathysse. Please LORD,… Let a Mathysse/Broner fight happen! Lucas will show him error of his ways!!

KL, Boytsov was not conditioned and just wanted a fight with almost no time to train. He’s had issues with his promoter for almost 2 years. A 100% in shape Boytsov will beat Wilder’s guts in, and you can stamp that!

I mentioned this in another blog but Wilder may never proved to be a great boxer but first one to land a punch against Wladimir could be all it takes to break that fragile chin. It might be Wilder’s only victory against a top opponent but if it’s a K-brother so be it. There’s been luckier punchers before.

Nick we get it already!……….You think Wilder should have gone in with Haye after his KO over Fraudley…….incidentally did you see Mago’s last opponent ………terrible and so over weight he made John Mcdermott look skinny!……..and Boystov………his last fight was against a 10 fight novice………..so hey Liahkovich wasn’t SUCH a terrible opponent…….in light of what some other “contenders “are fighting!!!

You guys have to admit hiss oppontnts are getting better and better with each fight now. Heard the buzz that around November Deontay will be fighting Lamon Brewster himself.

What was the Ref waiting forin the Bennett/Varpgas fight- when and what did he need to see before he either disqualified or penalized Bennett for holding, coming in with his head and roughhouse tactics?

He should fight the loser of Pulev – Thompson or the winner of arreola vs Mitchell. Plenty of good opponents

And Liakhovich is now down to losing 5 of his last 7 fights, i.e. he wasn’t a very dangerous opponent to begin with. Wilder needs to fight somebody who is NOT SHOT to prove himself. How is his stamina? Nobody knows. Right now I’m sure he would get annihilated by a Klitschko in later rounds (7 or 8). Wilder should fight Haye, Pulev, to prove himself, but I’m sure he wouldn’t step in the ring with them and risk a big money fight (that he would lose) against Vladimir.
