I am suprised also that Paquiao is facing Marquez also. Marquez has given Pacquiao the hardest fights of his life. Bradley would have been an easier opponent but not enough reward. I will tell you why! Pacquiao is not affraid of anyone, he would not be facing Marquez. Pacquiao knows that the money is with fighting Marquezor Mayweather. If Mayweather was not greedy Pacquiao would be facing him.

Pacquiao has not stopped anyone since forver he is NOT wiping the floor with Floyd Mayweather…. Manny is simply not looking like the same super fast volume puncher… He clearly beat Bradley but was missing wildly at times and getting outboxed at certain points… Floyd Mayweather would have a field day with Manny Pacquiao his exploits from 2009 are not playing out in 2012…. 5 lessor fighters have gone the full 12 rounds with him, Bradley did it with a broken ankle Mayweather is a different animal…

It’s been made perfectly clear that the only reason for a 4th Pac/Marquez fight is money. That’s it. But like I said in another thread, Pacquiao has only fought one welterweight champion and that was the day he took the belt from Miguel Cotto. Since then he has not faced another welterweight champion. On the contrary, almost all of Mayweather’s opponents have been champions.

I like that PAC did not take the Bradley rematch, because if he had, it would have at somewhat vindicated the judging from the first fight since PAC might be seen as having to “avenge” a loss, and also, by not fighting Bradley again, PAC is depriving him of benefitting from that rotten decision, and depriving Arum of a big payday for his new “cash cow”. Nicely done!!!

Bradely has no honor!!! He looked like the beaten fighter after the fight (body language). This is a guy that watched his head (instant replay) cause a cut on Nate Campbell’s eye, and still denied it happened. This is the kind of crap (willing to take a win at any cost) that corrupts boxing. Then he talks like he stood in there with Manny and rumbled with him all night. Homie was on his bike back peddling throwing soft jabs and unwilling to committ to real enagament. yep, Bradely’s “wall” that he wanted Manny to “come break down” crumbled pretty frikin fast in the face of Pacquiao’s storm. Mayweather still won’t fight Pacman!

Bradley has nothing to offer. He lost the fight with Pac which in reality he never should have gotten. His style is dirty and to be honest a 39YO Marquez would school him if he doesnt cut him with his head.

Look at what Paquiao did to Cotto. now look at Mayweathers fight with Cotto. Paquiao has nothing to fear from Floyd. Paquiao will wipe the floor with Floyd.

Tim Bradley wants to get paid but he is going to have to accept that he is simply NEVER going to get respect beyond a certain point for that win on paper… Bradley is going to have to pull off a big win against someone of note in order to validate himself waiting around for the Pac Man lottery again might be a dubious play…

Pacquiao was never able to control the action of the fight in any of the fights. In their last fight, Pacquiao leather was on the menu for him. He ate it all night long. I was with casual boxing fans who love Pacquiao and even they thought Marquez won. Pacquiao is extraordinary because of his speed and activity level. He is also intelligent enough to have a decent boxing iq. But he in no way can beat a legitimate high level counter puncher. In their first fight, the only reason Marquez was getting dropped in that first round was the straight left with blinding speed that Pacquiao was throwing. Once that was neutralized, Pacquiao was made a fool. Since then, he has changed and is a little better, but it makes no difference, because he is essentially the same fighter. He could never in a 100 years beat a Mayweather.

Good, let him fight Marquez. Let him eat leather.

Seriously. A rematch with Bradley would be rewarding the promoter or whoever was responsible for that travesty of a decision. I hate it for Bradley, but he should’ve stayed with his initial, honest, reaction to the fight. He lost.

Marquez was huge in their last fight. He did acquire the help of the same trainer that Marion Jones was using and was busted for roids. Interesting how big Marquez was in just 3 months of training. He had never been that much bigger than Pacquiao. He is off balance all night because his legs can’t carry all that added muscle. I saw him live in person training for all 3 fights, and believe me, Marquez was much bigger than before. I guess his Marion Jones trainer found a way to beat the testing, they always d are one step ahead of the game, ask Victor Conte about that. Anyway, Marquez is a crying, whining baby. He doesn’t deserve another fight. The judges already decided, and they only got the first fight wrong, because Manny won that without question. I’ve seen it 100 times. Marquez has been beat 3 times close or not, he lost so Manny needs to fight someone else, anyone but Marquez.

Though I will say Pac has earned his criticism(even in this case) for doing his half of dancing out of biggest fight in the sport.

I never like to see a champ leave a loss(even a robbery) unavenged. But everyone knows Marquez + Pac always make for a great fight. Marquez has better performances in every one of his fights w/ Pac than Bradley put up in his (so-called) win. Granted every single one of the Pac/Marquez fights should have been rematched immediately. This is a modern day Pep-Saddler, Ali-Frazier type rivalry. A rare equally matched fight in today’s landscape of 6-1 favorites being common in most championship fights(on PPV no less).

Really? Marquez again? Bradley would have been way easier seeing the only four people who thought Bradley won the first are Bradley, his trainer, and the two judges who embarrassed boxing by calling Bradley the winner.

Do you even KNOW what a “rubber match ” is? Marquez would’ve had to have WON one of those fights.

Bradley doesn’t deserve the set up payday rematch because he failed to even make the fight close for the rematch fix. He embarrassed Arum who had a big time rematch money maker set up if TB didn’t look like such a fking joke. FMJ won’t fight him either because he can’t even get his next door neighbors to watch him and FMJ sells his fights with his opponents so kiss that one. Bradley used to be respected but is now a joke with no fanbase. He has totally turned me against him and I hope some bum koes him for peanuts. As for Pac/ JMM….ugh too. I’m done.

Bradley is a JOKE!!!! No one cares about his fake ass self. Where’s his crutches and wheel chair and all the other BS crap he tried pulling on us. They called his bluff and he’s the guy left out of all fights. I hate the JMM vs Pacquiao fight if it gets done, which it looks like it will. Come on, we don’t want to see this soap opera over and over and over and over again. Manny, I love to watch you fight, and think you’re one of the best ever, but please don’t fight this guy again. Marquez is a whining, crying, book writing, roided up over the hill fighter now. We’ve seen you guys fuight 3 times, we don’t need to see it again, but Mr. Arum knows that both Marquez and Pacquiao have huge fan bases, and he sees lot’s of money!

Posted September 13, 2012 1:19 pm

Right Joe, it’s rewarding Bradley with another big pay day and he doesn’t deserve it. Let the “new champ” fight someone else.

Bradley has made himself into the biggest joke in boxing. Even his fans must be cringing every time he opens his mouth. For Pacquiao, the best way to nullify that farce is to never face Bradley again.

There is no way Pac will go 4 for 4 against Marquez. No way! He should have taken the Bradley rematch.

Pacman lost fair and square to Bradley, but he may have been able to move better if his fans would get off his jock..saw the fight several times and without Lampley Pac was done after midway in the fight…Bradley could have taken portrait pics after that fight and you guys know it. Pac knows he will lose worse next time

Posted September 13, 2012 11:02 am

RUFFKNIGHT

Paq may be wrapping up his career and figures his buddy JMM is in his “comfort zone”. So that’s good for Marquez but now what will Brad do? Wind up fighting a relative no-name for small bucks and maybe getting beat. I’m sure Tim would be willing to fight May just because that would maybe his best pay day. Seems like Floyd”easy money” has been pretty quiet since getting out of jail, he’s probably contemplating a retirement in the near future as well. After all he retired
once before.

Posted September 13, 2012 10:53 am

Don Quixote

Given that most believe Pacquiao won when he fought Bradley, why a rematch? Bradley is not a boxer that the majority wants to see in the ring, especially in a big fight again. He is miraculously the champion but that hasn’t helped him in terms of popularity. Hence the Martinez choice makes sense in terms of $$$. Additionally, there is an unfinished business between Pacquiao and Marquez. Bradley should fight Carson Jones but not on TV.

Posted September 13, 2012 10:40 am

prof konje

Bradley has every right to be disgusted and Pacquaio should be ashamed for not facing the man who “took” his title. Pacquaio doesn’t have three fights left in him. Arum is throwing him to the wolf (Marquez) because Arum knows that Pacquaio’s career is over. Arum wants to make as much money as possible with Pacquaio which is why he (Arum) selected Marquez. At this point in Pacquaio’s career, he can’t cope with the speed and youth of Bradley so it’s not about numbers or ratings. It’s a shame that Pacquaio is so trusting (and stupid).

I’m a big pac fan but I don’t like this fight.. this will end exatcly the same as the first 3 (controversial). then what?

Posted September 13, 2012 8:13 am

In ever statement Bradley has made concerning a future fight with Pac he feels the need to mention “two healthy legs”. Fact is taht Tim had two healthy legs that night. The fact that he feels the need to keep making this excuse when it has nothing to do with the topic at hand confirms to me that the leg thing is all an excuse for a performance he wasn’t proud of. Fact is that Marquez is the better choice over Bradley in every way you can imagine. The question is why is he searching for the rematch more than the person who lost the first fight? Obviously the fighters are acting according to what ACTUALLY happened which is Pac outperformed Tim and now Tim is seeking redemption. If he really felt he won he’d be trying to make the next move in taking over the WW division which would be to beat FLoyd, but he’s avoiding him like the plague.

love-the-sport

Bradley is in the prime of his career. Bradley just won the biggest fight of his career. And no one cares. This is partly because Bradley did not really win the fight against Pacquiao and it is partly because Bradley does not generate consistent power and knockouts that fans want to see. This is about numbers: How many fans will buy the Pay-Per-View? The fans decide and the fans have decided that Bradley is not exciting. If Bradley wants to get bigger number and bigger fights on the world stage — he should fight dangerous fighters. Let’s see Bradley vs. Maidana. Let’s see Bradley vs. Matthysee. Let’s see Bradley vs. Berto. Let’s see Bradley vs. Victor Ortiz. If Bradley can put a beat down any all of these guys — then YES — Bradley would deserve a big money big fight with Mayweather or Pacquiao. But the problem is … Bradley would not put a beat down on any of these guys, he would not hurt them, he may not win decisions on any of these guys, and he might get knocked down and knocked around. Bradley is far smaller than all of these guys and he tends to use his head instead of fists do his fighting. I think Pacquiao is making a money choice to fight Marquez. It would be better to see Pacquiao vs. Maidana or Matthysee or Berto or Ortiz or even Josesito Lopez at a catch weight. But the truth is — just like Bradley — those guys are not ready and they would not draw. I don’t like Pacquiao-Marquez 4. But I understand it. And I don’t think Bradley deserves it either. He didn’t really beat Pacquiao and he doesn’t draw fans.

Posted September 13, 2012 7:37 am

Marquez didn’t look all that great either in his last fight against Fedchenko. He won by wide margins but didn’t look as sharp as he’s been and was getting tagged big time for a guy who was fighting in his first world title fight ever. Btw, that was bull—t that HBO made that card PPV.
