“I have not been able to get Showtime for weeks and have missed good fights and Ray Donavan. I am very pissed off. But my biggest concern will be if this impacts the Mayweather-Canelo PPV fight. Seems to me Showtime would lose millions if it did.”
Yeah… that sure is strange. I have Showtime and have had zero problem with my reception as of late. You have missed some damn good fights, and I must say that Ray Donovan is turning out to be one H3ll of a great new show — especially for hardcore boxing fans.
If you’re planning on staying home and buying the PPV, it may be a good idea to call your cable provider at least a week in advance — just in case you have some sort of technical problem and they need to dispatch a tech out to your home. They should also reimburse you on a pro-rated basis for the weeks you paid for Showtime, but weren’t able to get it.

OK, here is something to ponder. CBS and Time Warner are having issues over Showtime and some other stations. I have not been able to get Showtime for weeks and have missed good fights and Ray Donavan. I am very pissed off.
But my biggest concern will be if this impacts the Mayweather-Canelo PPV fight. Seems to me Showtime would lose millions if it did.
What say you about this?Posted August 22, 2013 4:38 pm
Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)
This match-up will be a real burner and definitely has the potential to be a more exciting fight than the main event. In other words, being hailed as “The Fight of the Night.”Posted August 21, 2013 4:07 pm
Don’t fancy Garcia to win this fight but I’m also not ready to hop in the Lucas train just yet either. The winner of this fight will be up against Floyd at 147 next time out.Posted August 21, 2013 8:55 am
Matthysse outboxed and out punched Judah and Alexander, they couldn’t run fast enough and they are faster and slicker than Garcia. Lucas has advantages in power, stamina, chin and boxing skills, no to mention that Garcia get cut easily. Matthysse by KO.Posted August 21, 2013 5:33 am
I say Danny goes down late in the 10th.
AT LAST A REAL FIGHT.Posted August 20, 2013 2:48 pm
Mathysse,…. Without a doubt, BY KO!Posted August 20, 2013 2:20 pm
matthyssePosted August 20, 2013 12:28 pm
Matthysse wins by KO, that much is obv to me. Anyone know the odds on this? I figure Matthysse should be a 2/1 fave but Garcia’s come in as the underdog before and won by KO. He’s a game fighter.Posted August 20, 2013 12:17 pm
This is the good fight and the more they interview Garcia the more it makes me think he is going to win. But I am still going with MatthyssePosted August 20, 2013 12:07 pm
And, you’re right, Tark. Matthysse/Garcia will turn out to be “The One,” While Alvarez/Mayweather will turn out to be “The Letdown.”Posted August 20, 2013 11:56 am
I’ll take Matthysse by stoppage. I don’t think Garcia will make it past the 8th round.Posted August 20, 2013 11:54 am
“Garcia has a very HIGH Boxing IQ and a helluva left hook. It won’t be as easy for Matthysse as some THINK. IF he gets tricked into getting hit with that Killer left hook its lights out for him. …I’m still going to take Matthysse though.’
Oh here we go! Assamundo making yet another one of his ambiguous predictions. If Garcia wins Assamundo will be saying “I am correct again! Garcia took my advice…” But as we notice above, Assamundo is picking Matthysse to win. Oh, shades of Donaire/Rigondeaux.Posted August 20, 2013 11:47 am
Respect to Danny Garcia for not cherry picking his fights. Matthysse is a bomber and scary fighter. If Danny can stick and move, stay away from fire fights he wins. If he gets into a slug fest it has the makings of fight of the year even money. Great fight, should be the MAIN EVENT!Posted August 20, 2013 11:46 am
This is going to be a great fight if Garcia stays on point all night I give him the edge but if he slips he might just fall, both great fighters props to Danny for taking the fight so far he sucks nobodyPosted August 20, 2013 11:33 am
Lucas did not say I am going to KO Danny, that tells me Lucas is preparing to go the distance.
Great fight but should be Matthysse in a barn burner!!!Posted August 20, 2013 8:06 am
u lot ain gota clue
funny how every 1 makes a fighter who as lost 2 fights to be invincible. an the unbeaton 1 the bum. garcia to win.Posted August 20, 2013 6:44 am
garcia will ruin himPosted August 20, 2013 6:42 am
you guys got me laughing over my comment the guy that put WTF LOL!!! I sware I almost pissed myself in laughter ..Posted August 20, 2013 3:49 am
The advantages I give to Garcia are: Fundamental Boxing skills are more fluid and polished and that is the main reason all of the Mathyssee fans are insisting on a KO, because they don’t believe that Mathyssee can outbox Garcia to a decision. Garcia also has a speed advantage and we all know the benefits of that are obvious. The experience factor may be the biggest of them all. Garcia has had to slug thru adversity against stiff competition several times: whereas, most of Mathyssee’s wins came with relatively easy KOs without having suffered much punishment in return. Mathyssee will definitely suffer some punishment against Garcia, as will Garcia, but Garcia is used to it. Let’s just see how Mathyssee does when taken into deep waters.Posted August 20, 2013 3:41 am
Matthysse ko in 8Posted August 20, 2013 3:24 am
What advantages does garcia have over matthysse? Matthysse outboxed two fast slick boxers.matthysse vs judah fight matty was the fresher fighter in the later rds in the garcia vs judah fight judah had garcia hurt in the later rds. Just don’t see garcia winning matty is going to breakdown garcia’s body then koing garcia between the 8 to 10 rdPosted August 20, 2013 1:47 am
Hidalgo-I picked Garcia, so if you pick Mathyssee, then me and you can meet in the street and see who the man is! Lol.Posted August 20, 2013 1:09 am
This is a tough one to call! I’ve noticed the people that pick Mathyssee are a lot more confident than the people that pick Garcia. The strange thing is that Garcia has many more advantages over Mathyssee, but Mathyssee has that one equalizer, one punch KO power! I’m going with Garcia now, but that may change as the fight gets nearer. Let’s get ready to rumble!!!Posted August 20, 2013 1:05 am
“if you want me and you can meet in a street fight to see who the man is anything goes”
WTF??Posted August 20, 2013 1:03 am
Matthysse by knockout!!!Posted August 20, 2013 12:40 am
Very good fight. Matthysse wins though.Posted August 19, 2013 11:53 pm
it’s me, moron, nobody cares what you think. Piss off.Posted August 19, 2013 11:12 pm
when it comes to Ring Smarts, i’ll go for DG, if this bout goes full 12rds DG via SD (think about alexander and judah), but LM’s power makes the difference in this fight, both men will be tested specially their will and chin…Posted August 19, 2013 10:02 pm
It’s Me, Ernie
I don’t think Garcia can survive twelve with him, but we’ll see…Posted August 19, 2013 9:51 pm

tark your an idiot if you think its goes 12 bro.. matysse will win by knockout and then if you want me and you can meet in a street fight to see who the man is anything goesPosted August 19, 2013 9:36 pm
This fight is going to steal the show… Two massive punchers who can both withstand a massive punch.
Hagler-Hearns… But this time both men have rock-hard chins. The smartest operator will win on 9-14 – but they both love to trade shots. I’m thinking Matthysse in the 10th, or a brutal 12-rounder goes to DG. It’s a close matchup.Posted August 19, 2013 7:51 pm
