Old School Rules

Pulev looks out of shape. Clearly the year off has affected him. Still picking him over Thompson though. Price lost because he has a glass jaw and no jab to keep Tony away from that jaw. Pulev has the jab to control range and the chin to survive if TT does manage to get close. The ONLY factor that could cause Pulev problems is that it will be trickier to land the jab effectively against a southpaw and hes going to need an answer for Thompson’s straight left. If he can make an adjustment to this, he wins easy.

Thompson vs Pulev is a hard one to call.Thompson is abit heavy, more then when he fought Price but I still dont doubt he could go 12 if he has to.Pulev I belive is a tad overrated aswell, but Pulev is more hungry wanting what Thompson already had…a title shot.So Ill go with Pulev taking the latter rds. to win a dec. in a sloopy rough n tumble type fight.

The first fight with David Price was over in quick fashion. The second fight still ended early when they started slugging it out. Thompson at his age and with 263 pounds of weight will slow down and tire after 6 or so rounds. Pulev will take it by a clear UD. If he gets caught or tricked into slugging it out they may be a change of Thompson scoring a KO but that will not happen with a mobile, cautious Pulev who has a good defense and a good chin.

BLUESMAN

Tony Thompson has no business weighing 263.9 pounds. While Thompson’s weight is sublimely ridiculous, it doesn’t mean he won’t win.

TT weighed 244 against Wlad, he has never been chiseled, but 262 is 18 lbs of extra fat, not muscle. I have always liked TT, but if this goes the distance the weight will effect him. But like many here I do not want to see him fight Wlad again, the results would be the same.

pulev is a deceiving 250+. he carries his weight well. Go pulev! tony tony tony, i like you man, but you already had to cracks at wlad. that egg, you ain’t going to crack. pulev come on! pulev-wlad 2014!

Thompson weighed 262 pounds for the first Price fight in February, and 259 pounds for the Price rematch in July. It doesn’t look good that he is now 263 pounds for Pulev, especially since he should already have been in decent shape having just fought 7 weeks ago, but I guess Thompson will know what’s best for him.

Truth

what weight was Thompson 4 weeks ago for Price?

Tony does look as if he is about to rip one off….BRRRAAAAAPPPPP

Tony has always looked that way. He does not have a chisoled physique, that is all. But he looks pretty huge also like Pulev. A good fight match up. If Pulev takes him into the late rounds he wins on a TKO. So he has to be careful not to get caught by a Tony bomb, but, Pulev does have a chin of iron. Pulev looks to be trim at 252.9, a big man. Tony also a big man at 263. Should be a real slug fest. I am taking Pulev by wear down of Tony. Tony will feel 55 years old after this one.

He sure does meja.. Lol

This is too heavy for TT. He will tire in the later rounds carrying the extra weight. TT was too heavy and looked loose around the middle against Price, looks like he isn’t taking this serious enough. Disappointing.

This guy is huge. Thompson better be prepared.

its been mentioned on boxnation that the winner of the Braemer fight might get a shot at Krusher, that’d be a good fight.

God, Braehmer looks like a junkie, is that what has been stalling his career?

Mmmm…Thompson is on the fried chicken and donut juice diet again. At 260+ I still won’t count him out.

Neither one of these guys is championship material. I would like to see Pulev defeat Thompson since I am tired of Thompson and want him to retire.

Posted August 23, 2013 1:28 pm

I know they’re ‘heavyweights’, but why do they have to be so heavy?!? Anyway, Pulev to win, but TT is a live underdog and if he manages to do it, good for him.

It’s because they’re both sentences. Persnickety why can’t I watch this fight from the states?

264 lbs? TWOHUNDREDSIXTYFOUR LBS?!!! What the… Thompson will gas out after 6 rounds at the latest. That’s just too heavy. Pulev just needs to defend himself for six rounds, then it’ll be his turn to end the fight by TKO.

Posted August 23, 2013 11:31 am

Hey, That’s my Bike!!!

Mmmm It’s me Ernie and Hey, That’s my Bike. Are you kidding me? How do they even look close? I’ve seen some unflattering remarks made to It’s me Ernie. Geez I thought my scattered contributions were a little more well received. LOL

Hey, That’s my Bike!!!

Abraham walks into a bar. The barman says “Why the long face?”. Ahhhhhahahahahahahahahahahaha. I crack myself up. Have a look at it. That is the longest mug I’ve seen since Bruce Campbell pulled his head out of the ‘Book of the Dead’ in Army of Darkness.
