Boystov says Chisora is NOT his next opponent……….claiming he needs an “interim opponent” before he faces Chisora.
I could understand if Boystov was going to face the likes of Haye or a K brother……….but you need an “interim opponent” before fighting Chisora?
Sorry Boystov despite winning all 33 of your bouts, you seem to lack any self belief or confidence……..and that seems to be your ultimate downfall.

Boystov, like Wilder and Povetkin, appears to be someone who wants it all without taking any risks. Respect to Chisora who will clearly fight anyone, anytime.

Excellent news Brother Turbo-Hamster! Sir William Oddie is a scholar and gent. I have some good news myself as well. My secretary has just notified me that Mad Lizzy and Henry Kelly of Going for Gold fame are on board too. Everything is going swimmingly at this end and I know Brother Ernie has got a few special surprises up his sleeve too.

Michaela Strachan’s getting on a bit these days. Not looking quite so hot now she’s approaching her fifties. I’d still like a go though. I was kinda hoping I’d be sinking the old chap in Mad Lizzy’s or Anita Dobson’s bat cave at the after show party though.

Seran, take the argument up with Boystov. My source was Boystov himself. You may be totally right on the reason except that Boystov’s comments regarding Fury were similar to his comments regarding Chisora; something to the effect of he needed more time, tune-ups etc.

Boytsov’s people are now denying this fight is happening. How’d this story get out when it’s not even signed? If it was in negotiations dudes should say the fight is likely, not already inked.

Just for the guys here who repeat the same song over and over like a defect chatterbox:Boytsov didnt pull out of a fight with Fury.He just didnt want to fight for his former promotion, the now bankrupt Universum Box Promotion, anymore as it was more than doubtful that he would have received his paycheck after the fight(anyone remembers Boytsov’s former teammate Zbik who still hasnt seen great part of fight purse for his encounter with Stum?)
Well, you guys who have no clue what they are talking about should first make some inquiries before spreading the nonsense that Boytsov pulled out of a fight with Fury.

True Brother Gonzo, I sometimes forget that timezones really have very limited meaning up in the rarified air on tier one.

As an update I must say my preparations for Vulture awareness week are proceeding astonishingly well. I have a teleconference with Bill Oddie later tonight, and if I am not misreading him, then I do believe he may be able to score us Michaela Strachan for the event.

I am unclear if he means as some form of MC or for our personal use, but either, clearly is fine by me.

He boxed his ears off Brother Dionysus. Floyd was outgunned in every department sans embarrassment and humiliation. It was a joy to watch him get handled like that, especially when he was laying there on the canvas staring up at the lights muttering gibberish to himself. He was more out of it than he uncle Roger when he was in the midst of one of his crack binges. lol

Brother Killing Moon.. To be fair he did look as slick as a man in a latex suit on an oil spill. Perhaps that’s why Floyd has been avoiding slick white fighters all this time?

Gonzo the Dragonborn

To be fair Brother Turbo-Hamster there’s no set pattern with regards to the time of day I post on here (or the the Golden Retriever forums either). My sleeping patterns are erratic to say the least, especially lately what with International Vulture Awareness Day literally only a few weeks away. I’m just grateful that so many of the patrons have been so generous with sharing their drugs with me and then I’ve been able to devote the amount of time and effort such a monumental and historical day in history deserves.

Prince Bow, Boytsov didn’t pull out, they didnt have a deal for the next fight (which is already scheduled for a venue in Germany). He’s fighting Chisora later. There was no pull out other than the venue being set and the boxer facing Boytsov decided to pull out leaving Boytsov to find an apponent for that date and that venue. Chisora wants to fight in England so it’s after Boytsov’s next fight.

@Gonzo, yeah. It seemed like Floyd was getting pretty frustrated in there to say the least. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it with my own eyes. Had to run it back a second time. No doubt about it, Floyd got handled.

I will bet on Dereck Chisora. He have been there with Vitali Klitschko, Danny Williams, David Haye, Malic Scott, Robert Helenius, Tyson Fury etc and have more ring expearence then Denis Boytsov has. His best fights are against middle class opponents like Dominick Guinn and Robert Hawkins so Chisora haves the stronger mentality in the ring as well and that will puit him to another advantage point. Altough Boystov is 2 years younger and have an better KO % b ut thats it. I belive Dereck Chisora will be the new European heavyweight champion on September 21, 2013.

I looked at boytsov record and its very thin gunn and Vinny madelin are about the only names the rest are not worth a mention. Chisora is a very game challenger and despite a lack of ring skills he can still throw punches and put pressure on everyone he fights something I doubt boytsov is used too. So with the lack of competition and re accuring injuries this may well be a fight Del boy can win intresring fight

I think he’s instinctive and a product of his surroundings. As a boxer I think it was just an absolute waste that he didn’t take fights on larger scales/venues. I’m not sure if that was his choice or his management (to stay close to he for mostly all fights)but I think better guidance overall and getting him outta there would have really done much greater things for him as a person and his career.

Price needs to rebuild his confidence, and build up his stamina and defence. He should fight guys like Guinn, Tua, McCall and Sprott to do that, both will take him some rounds, test him a little, but shouldnt be able to get to him.

Chisoro most likely will loose this, the other guy has more skill, though i wonder about his heart. Chisoro on the other hand is afraid of no one, it is obvious that the Klitskho bros. are afraid of this guy in the streets. when you are their size you don`t let no man spit or slap you in your face and do nothing, not even a slap back. you could see the fear in their eyes, here they saw that this guy is a psycko

Posted August 28, 2013 3:01 am

AssyrianGod

Chisora is better than some people give him credit for; Helenius, Scott, Sexton were all good opponents, and he has been in with Haye and gave Vitali a good fight. He is a genuine top 15 Heavy, possibly top 10. This is a pretty even fight on paper, Boystov has sharper skills and a greater arsenal, Chisora is physically tough and determined and may be physically stronger.

Posted August 28, 2013 2:35 am

bears

turbo makes a good point. both helenius and vitaly got hurt fighting chisora. i swear his head must be mostly solid bone where there should be brain. but now boustov will fight him and boustov is best known for being plagued by hand injurys after knocking all his opponents out. ive been hoping boystov can continue his boxing career successfully but in all actuallity his hands seriously might not hold up and this is a very real possibility. high enough possibility if i was a bookie i would have a line on the possibility of boystov re-injury of his hands. i hope he doesnt though and i hope he ko’s chisora and gets set up with stiverne, wilder, jennings, arreola, povetkin after he looses to wlad, theres a lot of guys i would like to see boystov in with after derek

Posted August 28, 2013 2:26 am

I will agree with you in that Boytsov is technically better than Chisora Bears but derek he a very rough tough fighter as is boytsov. Should make a good fight.

Posted August 28, 2013 2:11 am

This fight hinges on Chisora’s ability to get inside his man.

The best tactic I have found to achieve this is rohypnol, poppers and baby oil.

Posted August 28, 2013 1:10 am

Farmboxer

The old Boytsov would have an easy knockout!!! He was fantastic, extremely heavy handed, great skills, up, down, incredible. He was on his way to a title fight, but he had, at least two hand injuries, losing time and training, then a bad promoter. If he comes into this fight with 50% of the skills and power he once had, he will win by knockout. The layoff was not Boytsov’s fault, the injuries were bad, but I blame the promoter more than anything. Look what Don King did to Tyson! And we all know what Tyson once had……………I don’t know how this will turn out, it all depends on how well the surgery went, plus how much rust he can get rid of………..

Posted August 28, 2013 12:58 am

Energie

Chadors is gonna get knockd out badly

Posted August 28, 2013 12:25 am

BEARS

boystov has never really been “derailed”. maybe “sidelined” by a bunk promoter. He’s in with a good one now! bosytov brings the power for sure and has ko’ed most his opponents and quickly too! about the opposite of derik chisora.

go to youtube and type “two minutes of pure denis boystov knockouts”

chisora doesnt have high light reels like this because chisora is not the STRIKER that boystov is. AND BOYSTOV LIKES TO BANG TOO!! this is a perfect style matchup and if boystovs 100% and ready to go no rust. I got boystov to win. if his hands are healed, chisora’s going DOWN

Posted August 27, 2013 11:26 pm

BEARS

no derik jizora shouldnt take it neccessarily all because he is more seasoned. This should come down to the better fighter which might be boystov. He certainly has more power then derik and he only ways 215 pounds. i dont think boystov can have a real future in the heavyweight division at that weight though. it would be better for him to try to get get down if he really weighs 215.

chisora is not that great we know that. the only question is how good is boystov.

rod you clearly dont know your ass from a hole in the ground.

Posted August 27, 2013 11:17 pm

rod

Similar styles. Chisora has been in with much better quality opposition and has been more active. He should take it if he comes in with good shape.

Posted August 27, 2013 10:17 pm

Dionysus

Digby, he’s had issues with promoters and a hand injury can happen to anyone. Nestrenko was a quickly made fight for Boytsov because his record was good and Boytsov had been out a while. Look at Boytsov’s other competition. He got derailed but at least he is still young and certainly can move forward now, and he will!

Posted August 27, 2013 9:52 pm

Turbo-Hamster

What I like about Chisora is that he is essentially a gatekeeper who doesn`t believe he is a gatekeeper.

We`ve all seen him fight, and could make a list of his technical deficiencies that would be long enough to land a Boeing 747 on in bad weather.

But noone has ever had an easy time after getting in the ring with him, with the possible exception of Haye.

For me if you put someone injury prone in the ring with Chisora you are taking a risk. The old Boystov, I`d pick to hurt Delboy. The one with hand problems and low level opponents I`d pick to get beaten and have a handy injury excuse (Pun absolutely intended).

Posted August 27, 2013 9:46 pm

John Digby

When Boytsov was 20 yo he was considered one the top prospects in boxing. I figured if the man were good and developed he would have a title shot by the time he was 25. Now he is 27 and still has not fought any good boxers. Chisora is the best opponent he will have had and Chisora is not very good. I looked at Boytsov’s last opponent who was Nesterenko who had a record of 9-1. That record made it appear like Boytsov was fighting a decent boxer until one examined Nesterenko’s opponents. His opponents had a combined record of 4-19. This is pathetic. I pick Boystov only because I have seen Chisora several times and am unimpressed by him.

Posted August 27, 2013 9:32 pm

C.morgan

Chisora is tough and he will make anyone work hard with his constant pressure and good stamina. But lets face it, he has terrible skills in the ring, punches wide, zero boxing IQ. He will lose to most top heavies out there.

Posted August 27, 2013 9:21 pm

Dionysus

Boytsov is among the best at mixing it up with head and body blows. He has hellacious body shots that can end fights just like Golovkin did Macklin. Chisora is soft in the midsection and you can bank on it that Boytsov is gonna bang him to the body. No way in hell this fight gets the distance.

Posted August 27, 2013 8:14 pm

Xavier

Chisora is strong and durable, but with limited skills. Boytsov should be able to land some big shots on him, but can he go 12 good rounds if he has to? Denis has to be looking at stopping Chisora in the first half of the fight. Chisora puts pressure on you plus he’s more tested in big fights and he has home advantage. 50-50 fight, but I can see Chisora winning a mauling bout on points.

Again, I see a real pattern here. I think that a real case can be made that by them fighting each other not only allows him to make the lame excuse that they are tied up but it also allows them to soften each other up so they will be nice and ripe for the taking should he ever choose to fight any of them LOL.

Good one hosteen, Wider better fight someone with a pulse soon, Wider vs eddy chambers would be good, even if eddy is past his prime.
Boytsov was earlier hyped as the future hw champ, but because of hand injuries and poor management he has not lived up to the hype.
However he is still pretty young, looks very strong, we will see how he reacts on chisoras pressure, i think he will ko chisora if hes in shape, anyway should be a good fight, chisora always comes to fight, got to give him respect for that.

Hosteen

Wilder and his team must love match ups like this and there have been several over the last year or so and more on the horizon because such parings gives him a great excuse to not have to face any of the participants.

If Denis Boytsov comes in, in great shape; he will make Chisora look terrible and give him a horrible thrashing before he knocks him flat. Otherwise Boytsov wins on cards. Either way, BOYTSOV! He’s the most talented Russian Heavy PERIOD!

I was very high on Boytsov when I first seen him.But like others said he had alot of injuries, hand surgery, and long lay offs.Boytsov has good solid skills but with all these problems how does he look now…thats the big ?. Also I belive he had a tune-up type fight not to long ago, didnt see it but some people said he didnt look that great…again hard to say.A rusty brittle handed Boytsov could get a beaten from a active bringing the pressure fighter like Chisora. But a on track healthy Boytsov who has a good skill set, could be to much for Chisora.Great fight overall abit of a cross-road fight for these guys to see who moves on to bigger things. As for Chisora not winning the big fights…well he should have gotten the nod over R.H. but was ripped by a hometown dec.

Excellent matchup! But if Chisora thinks he’ll win this one he’s wrong.

It’s hard to predict this fight because of Boytsov’s injuries and inactivity/problem with promotor.
But Boytsov should win even it’s a big step up, he got power, athletic and toughness

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

Boytsov is smaller HW by today’s standards, as he’s only 6’1″ and about 215lbs. However I’ve watched film of this guy and he’s very aggressive with a full arsenal of various punches and combinations. Not only that, but Boytsov has really good power and high KO%.

Unfortunately, Boytsov has been plagued by reoccurring hand and arm injuries for years. And it appears that his managers/promoters have been bringing him along slowly as well. But it’s about time that he starts fighting some NAMES and proving that he deserves to be ranked as a top 10 contender.

If Denis comes into this fight healthy, without injuries, I see him swarming and beating Chisora — most likely by brutal stoppage. Don’t think that Chisora is back on the war path to winning because he beat Malik Scott. Scott is a nobody in USA boxing. Chisora better come into this fight in great shape or he’s going to get hammered. Real talk.

Chisora wins IMO. Boytsov is OK but Chisora will outwork him.
