I just sent a Gary Russell editorial/interview piece to be published sometime today on ESB…I hope you guys enjoy it my take on the Russell Jr/Gonzalez/Mares triangle.

Boxing is played for keeps – better to be brought along too slow than too fast – and, moronic to fight injured when you have many good yrs in front of you – like ‘Mister’ said, ‘you only get one shot at this!’

I respect your opinion, Correct…but is it warranted if he’s been suffering through injury?

Do you really want to see Gary in the ring at less than 100%?

Something to think about.

CORRECTAMUNDO

The man has a lot of talent but he hasn’t fought anyone. SO the scrutiny is warranted. I don’t think his last opponent was even in the Top 100.

“Fast” Eddie Hopson…IBF Super Featherweight Champ…I love it!!

It’s a shame that most boxing scribes who supposedly know about the sport and everything that guys like Gary put themselves through have the nerve to criticize him. It’s crazy.

Mark my words, when Gary’s pro career is over, he’s going to be an elite level trainer in the sport…he’s that smart.

I’m glad you had a chance to listen to the interview, because Gary gets a lot of unwarranted scrutiny.

Joseph…yeah brother, I’ve listened to u before on the corner, and didn’t even know it was u, brother!!

Mister Russell Jr…most talented and your best interview!! I like him even more now!! Sooooo refreshing…the ‘problem’ is taken with flushing twenties, while Russell Jr is busy with preparing for retirement and income properties!!

That type thinking and decision making translates to a high ring IQ…maybe even Andre Wardesqe?!! Time will tell.

Russell Jr…the fastest guy I’ve seen since ‘Fast’ Eddie Hobson…and that’s going back a few!
