terrible news I feel bad for Tommy. Died way to young. It can be a tough life out there. I don’t know what happened between when he was young up and coming till he died.

R.I.P. heavyweight champion Tommy Morrison.Good boxer with great power.Lets not forget when Morrison beat Foreman, big George was still fighting really well coming off a great fight against Holyfield.Holyfield the guy who still went strong in his 40s so this was a very good Holyfield Foreman gave a great fight too.Foreman went on to win the belts a year after he fought Morrison, big George was still fighting pretty great when Tommy beat him for the WBO title.Morrison was old school tough,if knocked down he got back up firing both pistols.I think all boxing fans will miss his exciting tough action packed fights…R.I.P. CHAMP.

RIP Tommy “The Duke” Morrison. You kept us on the edge of our seats with every fight.

Kigdon, yeah thats one of the reasons mercer won that fight is because ray had an amazing chin!!! Man that guy had the best chin in the busness. If tommy caught anybody else with that many punches that he landed on mercer i cant see them still standing, but rays chin was unbelivable.

I read that Tommy originally was given the same HIV drugs that Magic had. He started taking them but some idiot professor from UC Berkeley wrote a book about how AIDS was a government scam. Like-minded morons kept mailing Tommy literature backing the same unsubstantiated claims. He wasn’t an educated man and was easily convinced by these jerks. I hope those MFers know they have blood on their hands now.

Well he was big in the day, to bad he ended up dieing by making a foolish mistake. He certainly didn’t deserve to die this way but life is more fragile than people realize when they are healthy. If you want to remember the champ live a healthy life so you can live long and prosper as Spock famously said.

ERIC you are right, i can still picture his 5 punch combo 2 left jabs, right hook to body then then uppercut[that tyson made famous] then left hook, and all 5 landed, it was amazing mercer could take those, but that was ray…

Nameless

I’ve been sad all week about this. His left hook was just a thing of beauty. Rip.

Morrison did belive the hiv wasent real, I know for a fact because he email me info in regaurds to that matter. I also know tommy was a man of faith, he was a strong beliver in God, but had many demonds that he fought outside of the ring. I was a big fan and loved watching him perform. Exciting fights and tommy had good speed with loads of power and great balance and threw great combos. I hear people say that ray mercer beat tommy butt, but I alwsys said no tommy kick mercers but but mercer knocked tommy out. I mean watch the fight tommy had mad skills for a heavy weight. In the mercer fight he was doing every thing right except pacing himself and thats because he belived in his power and was a little green at that level and or that point in his carrer.

Brazilian Boxing Fan you’re saying Morrison died on Marciano’s birthday? Weird if true…

RIP Tommy. Good to see the HOF address his passing. He wasn’t a HOF caliber boxer but he sure entertained the fans in the 90s.

flash knock down

Sad news I loved this guy he came to fight every fight. RIP

Brazilian Boxing Fan

Tommy Morrison was 44 years old when he died, the same age George Foreman was when Morrison beat him. Besides, Morrison died on the same day that Rocky Marciano would have completed 90 years of age, if he were still alive.

Wow. First I have heard of this. RIP. Morrison was a fun guy to watch. Hipp, Williams, Ruddock all great fights.
