HIdalgo,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, U ARE RIGHT.. beating Mayweather will not make Canelo great, because mayweather is not great. Beating Mayweather although will bring the boxing world some sunshine and a breath of fresh air. Watching Mayweather ‘s pawn shop for 15 years has bored us all.Posted September 8, 2013 3:37 pm
“Beating Mayweather will N0T make Alvarez great”
Yes it will. Even if only for a little while.Posted September 8, 2013 9:09 am
all you lot who’s picking Floyd to win easily don’t have a Scooby do……this is the biggest moment of canelos career…he will be so fired up and wanting to get at mayweather…unlike guerrero he is bigger…faster…..more power…….quicker hands….can jab……..be patient…..counterpunch and you will see this next week….canelo will ko mayweatherPosted September 7, 2013 9:42 pm
CANELO MATTHYSSEPosted September 7, 2013 4:38 pm
Canelo vows to ballon up to 173 pounds and pray he can win by weight advantage. Canelo should be fighting Ward, Froch, Triple G etc but ODH know he would get knocked out every fight so they campaign the bum at 154 allowing him to balloon 20 pounds heavier than his opponents.Posted September 7, 2013 4:10 pm

CAN YOU IMAGINE IF WE HAD THE INTERNET, PPV TV and CELEBRITY WANNABE TV back in the Glory Days of Boxing in the 1980′s with genuine legends such as SALVADOR SANCHEZ (RIP), EL FLACO D’EXPLOSIVO (RIP), the Fabulous Four, the greatest ever set of Light Heavyweights, the McCallums, Cobra Currys, Starlings, Chandlers and all the other great talent from Flyweight, right through…..????
I can only imagine how much BIGGER the names and fortunes would be for these legends and ESB would be literally org*sming over the Internet traffic before fights such as HAGLER vs HEARNS, DURAN vs LEONARD, PRYOR vs ARGUELLO, GOMEZ vs PINTOR…. The vas list goes on and on……
JUST IMAGINE……Posted September 7, 2013 12:44 pm
HHLondon.., You’re wrong.. Matthysse is no Maidana. He’s more difficult to hit and he punches harder.
Judah only lasted the distance because a friendly referee kept interfering and breaking non-clinches so he could survive. Zab was well beaten up and Matthysse didn’t have a mark on him.
Alexander also should have gone down on the cards… Those 2 corrupt sets of judges taught Matthysee that he couldn’t afford to take prisoners … He hasn’t since.Posted September 7, 2013 12:33 pm

What did you hear, Public Enemy?Posted September 7, 2013 8:11 am
“The only course of history Canelo will change will be his becoming the laughing stock of Mexico.”
How do you figure that? He’s fighting Mayweather. At present that is the pinnacle bout of his career. Win or lose.Posted September 7, 2013 8:09 am
as far as the fight itself goes , I would have to agree with Hecdog’s first post. I think he sums it up pretty well.Posted September 7, 2013 6:14 am
As much as I’d love to see Floyds bubble be burst, I dont think Canelo’s the man to do it unfortunately. for me, hes a well rounded fighter that does everything very good which makes him a tough oppenent, but he doesnt have that exceptional area in his game to bother Floyd. Yes, we seen Jose Castillo show us a blueprint a good decade ago, but FLoyd wasnt as complete a fighter as he is nowadays.
Im taking Floyd winning by a comfortable UD, fighting ultradefensive in a borefest bout.Posted September 7, 2013 5:55 am
It would be so great, so Fraud will have no excuse to keep ducking the best fighters.Posted September 7, 2013 5:40 am

Canelo is a way bigger threat to floyd than pac! Canelo would destroy pac! Canelo is big, strong, skilled, and determine to win. Floyd by majority decision but it will be a hard fought victory!Posted September 7, 2013 2:06 am
Tark, Judah and Alexander distanced Matthysee.
The Argie has demolished bums, stepped up and struggled.
STFU with the Mayweather nonsense!
Mathysse still gotta get past Garcia which is even money.
Mathysse is another Maidana only with a little spring in his pumps.Posted September 7, 2013 1:46 am

ERECTAMUNDO THE REAL QUESTION IS: WHY is PACMAN still fighting UNDER TOP RANK aka BOB ARUM. PAC DON”T NEED NO DAMMMMMMMMMM PROMOTER!. BOB is the reason this fight is not happening.Posted September 6, 2013 11:20 pm
Yea thats true its gonna be a good fight. Canelo already knows that Mayweather will use that elbow ALOT. So he is preparing for that. BUT I think he should prepare also for the HOLDING. Mayweather like holding excessivley too.Posted September 6, 2013 10:34 pm
Floyd has to beat Canelo first.., Tough enough.. Then he has to beat Matthysse…a boy who can smoke about anyone.
If he survives… he can beat up on Pacquiao… That will be 47.Posted September 6, 2013 9:58 pm
Pacquioa beat Mosley, Cotto (Mayweathers previous opponents) and would pulverize Guerrero. My question is why then arent they fighting? Pacquioa vs Mayweather. Make that fight happen next.Posted September 6, 2013 9:10 pm
Canelo would knock Guerrero’s sneakers right off him.Posted September 6, 2013 9:07 pm
Public E…, That’s what you heard from Hecdog..,
What you heard from me was Floyd should have been a much bigger favorite than the 7:1 odds … That Floyd was a great bet to win, and that Guerrero was going to be a very easy fight for Floyd … especially with Robert Byrd as the referee.
This is a different fight.. Canelo would knock Guerrero out.Posted September 6, 2013 8:53 pm
We all heard the same bullsht when Guererro was going to fight Mayweather.. LOL what idiots..Posted September 6, 2013 8:43 pm
“This is going to be one Hell of a tough fight for Floyd.”
Especially if Canelo comes in strong even though he has to drop to 152 for the weigh-in. But the strategy Canelo used against Trout will not work against Mayweather. Canelo needs to make Floyd work at a high workrate for the whole fight. Floyd doesn’t like to do this. He’s a very measured, thoughtful fighter. Canelo cannot take “a couple of rounds off” like he did in his fight with Trout.Posted September 6, 2013 8:38 pm
Tark- Canelo, Coralles, Judah and Cotto are ATG fighters? C’mon now…..Posted September 6, 2013 7:46 pm
Yeah!!!!!!! JAB man!!!!!!!!!!!Posted September 6, 2013 7:46 pm
Canelo- jab jab jab, sonPosted September 6, 2013 7:20 pm
Canelo.., “I think the way Mayweather is talking he is underestimating me but deep down I think he is very worried.”
Floyd IS very worried.. Canelo doesn’t have any major holes in his game like all the other ATG fighters Floyd has faced.
Oscar was easy to hit… Judah had a weak chin and lacked strength… Cotto was short and lacked range… Marquez was very small… Mosley was an old man on his last legs… Corrales was not a good boxer or defender, and looked skinny and weak as a weed.
Canelo is the 7th ATG fighter Floyd has faced — but he doesn’t have any of the technical and style problems all these other boys had.
Canelo can slice through Floyd’s defense like Cotto did with his jab, Mosley did with his right handers, and Judah did with about everything he threw early on.. Floyd solved all those problems by making masterful adjustments.. He’s fighting a guy who will adjust to his adjustments.
This is going to be one Hell of a tough fight for Floyd.Posted September 6, 2013 6:02 pm
I wonder if he canelo could change the corse of history by beating Andre Ward?Posted September 6, 2013 5:57 pm
IAfter watching Canelo’s last three fights on tape, I have to go with Mayweather. Canelo isn’t a fluid boxer, and you can see every punch he throws. He loves that long wide left hook, and he can throw a solid jab, but he’s not consistent enough. His style has some similarities to Floyd’s because he is a counter puncher also. He’s just not fast or fluid enough to beat Mayweather unless he catches him during an exchange or Floyd gets old over night. Floyd should be able to get in and out and run or move away quickly. Canelo also has stamina issues, which can get him knocked out if he runs out of gas. GBP and Mayweather Promotions are doing a great job selling this fight, but it’s not a great fight between to evenly skilled fighters. Canelo hasn’t fought anyone. He’s 23 yrs of age with an unbeaten record that does not impress. The Media and Oscar are riling up all the Mexican and latino fans so they can come and pay their hard earned money. The next great Mexican fighter is The One. Canelo is also has a bit of an over sized ego fed to him by his singing trainer. I do hope Canelo some how finds a way to beat Floyd because Floyd is becoming way too dull and predictable. He says the same things over and over. Talks about his money. His cars, his uncle Roger, his father, his gym, jumping rope, same old mitt routine, actually, Floyd has become very boring and stagnant. I do respect the way he shows his kid and how much he loves them. The scandalous women he has have to go. They’re all out for his money and fame. Canelo does have youth and power and the largely Mexican audience, so there’s always that possibility he can pull it off, but it’s going to be tough.Posted September 6, 2013 4:47 pm

Good luck, Red; you’re gonna need it.Posted September 6, 2013 2:44 pm
Should be a great fight. However, I really doubt Floyd is “worried”. They are both fighters, they know what they are coming to do. There is nobody that is scared, especially two guys that are undefeated after 40 fights.Posted September 6, 2013 2:19 pm
Looking forward to it! Vamos Canelo!!Posted September 6, 2013 1:04 pm
