People need to realise and appreciate what they r witnessing. He will only be around for so long and then u will realise what u witnessed. People like mayweather don’t come around very often.
The amazing thing about this fight was how he made canelo miss! I think canelo was shocked at how elusive he was. Marquez I think said the same thing. It’s almost telepathic the way he does it.

The Mayweather camp has no interest in fighting anyone. They are nothing but a business whose goal is to make the most money possible and this is how it works. You hire Al Haymen because his specialty is making the most amount of money with the least amount of risk. Their job is to create matches that appear to be competitive from the viewpoint of the general public and casual fans but are really not competitive if you are knowledgeable. They exploit that because there are allot more casual fans than educated ones. That’s where the money is. In the beginning, they had to take more high-risk fights because they were not in a position of power but since the PPV started this is how it goes.
They go after 3 types of opponents.
1. Big fan base opponents. With big fan base opponents, they get loyalty of their fans not just the money but they will usually spend money even if their fighter doesn’t stand much of a chance. In addition, many of these fan favorites are B+ level fighters especially fighters that fight in a straight forward Mexican style with no lateral movement or athletic skill. This gives them everything. All the money with very little risk. Examples: Alvarez, Gurerreo, Ortiz, Hatton, Gatti
2. Reputation fighters. After people get bored with the non-competitive big fan base fighters. When they start getting heat everyday to why they are not fighting anybody they need a reputation fighter. That’s a big name but to reduce the risk lets make sure he is way past his prime. This way they can say they beat a real good fighter and know that casual fans do not know anything about who is in their prime or details.
3. Opportunity Fighters
FM is a great fighter but he doesn’t take risk. People do not care about how much money their champions make, they care about greatness. The only way to achieve greatness is to take risk. FM does not do that and now its too late.
I`d say Pacquaio needs to stop Rios (and possibly another opponent) for me to get amped for the Floyd fight in any way.
Over the course of 12 rounds FLoyd would have Pacquaio’s in and out style timed, and probably by 6 rounds in would be dishing out a really embarassing lesson.
For there to be enough doubt to make it compelling there needs to be the threat that if Pacman puts his straight left bang on Floyds chin, instead of bouncing it off a shoulder roll, that Floyd will go down.
It took JMM 4 fights to go from being dropped and not knowing WTF was going on every time the left touched him in the first round, to timing Pac like a watch.
If I can be convinced it will take Floyd more than 4-5 rounds to do the same I`ll get excited for the fight.Posted September 15, 2013 7:07 pm
Hidalgo, thanks for the props!Posted September 15, 2013 6:56 pm
I see Mayweather-Pacquiao happening… The wheels will start turning if Pac beats Rios. They have to rehabilitate Pacquiao’s image in the public mind — and feel they have the right opponent in Rios.. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

Lol Briscoe your problem is your stuck on nostalgia. Aside from Leonard Robinson and pep none of those u mentioned would fair any better against Floyd. I started boxing at age 8 and continued until my college years. I’ve had my butt handed to me on several occasions, hence why I’ve never made anything of myself. With that being said I have hours and hours of collections and raw footage of fighters from days gone by. Take a closer look at the wide looping shots, the lack of crispness in the punches, the poor footwork many of the pre 1970s fighters. You seem to want to applaud Willie pep for his defensive skills and terrific foot work but pretend Floyd is miles behind. You my friend need a dose of truth. Is Floyd the greatest ever, absolutely not. Nor is he capable of achieving it given the current collection of fighters around him. The headfirst plodders who dominated the 70s, 80s are not capable of causing Floyd any problems. Robinson however imo would be able to solve that puzzle. He was ever patient and had the handspeed to catch Floyd. Willie pep man what I wouldn’t give to see that fight. Leonard as well. Floyd certainly will not attain top status be he may crack the top ten when all is said and done.Posted September 15, 2013 2:03 pm

You can’t contest what I’m saying because you’re totally blinded to reality by you’re infatuation for Mayweather.Posted September 15, 2013 1:57 pm

Hidalgo, that was Marquez’s decision, Not floyds.
No I am not a fan of Alvarez ether. Who has he ever beaten other than Trout? And who has Trout beaten? He’s decent fighter but mainly he’s a media creation. I knew he stood no chance at all. The catchweight and his lack of experience didn’t help either, which is why Mayweather fought him. If he was great as many hyped him up to be Mayweather never would’ve fought him. History proves that.Posted September 15, 2013 1:35 pm
Jack Jones, no I’m not a hater. I’ve actually been saying all this for years. I’m sorry that the TRUTH is a little too uncomfortable for you to deal with. Most of the ‘world champions’ Mayweather beat would never have been champs in a semi-decent era never mind a strong one. The best few might have, but not the versions Mayweather cherrypicked. There are four sanctioning bodies today, not one or two like in the old days, that’s the reason they were able to become world champions and only that and you know that too, and if you don’t you need to brush up on the sport’s history.Posted September 15, 2013 1:31 pm
Actually Canelo, Guerrero and Cotto are very lucky. Floyd dont have the same hand speed as the Diego Corrales fight. If you watch that fight and compare to last night. Floyd would have thrown a double right hand lead to the face of the slow Canelo and he would of been finish by round 6th. Some of you haters need to watch Diego Corales and you will realize how great Floyd is with lesser hand speed.Posted September 15, 2013 1:27 pm
“The ONLY people who believe that Mayweather has any business in the ring with MW’s or SMW’s are guys who want Floyd to lose no matter how invalid the matchup is…”
So what was Floyd doing fighting a guy who normally fought in a division that was two weight classes lower than welterweight? Yeah, Marquez.
So according to you SRedmond, it’s ridiculous to expect Floyd to fight MWs or SMWs but perfectly reasonable for him to fight lightweights.
You’re an idiot.Posted September 15, 2013 1:14 pm
Briscoe- You are a hater. It is what it is. Dont go back to the fifties looking to try to compare Floyd. Its strange how its not Cherrypicking until the fights are over! I bet you was on Canelos nuts.Posted September 15, 2013 1:11 pm

The question you have to ask yourselves here is would Mayweather have fought a prime Leonard, Duran, Hearns, Robinson, Armstrong, Chavez, Pep, Saddler, Langford, Walker, Gans, Ross, Napoles, Arguello? I could go on. Deep you all know the answer to that even if you won’t dare admit to it in public. It’s a very uncomfortable truth I know but that’s just the reality of it I’m afraid.Posted September 15, 2013 12:56 pm
VOICE OF REASON learn to read you read before you reply to comments. It’s not my list. I posted it because it roughly resembles most of the ATG lists out there and to highlight how Mayweather cannot be compared to the fighters at the top end of it because of his weak resume. Most of those fighter’s actually fought, beat , and unlike infamous ducker and cherrypicker Mayweather actually sought out fights against great fighters when they were in their prime not did everything in their power to avoid them.
At no point have I expressed my opinion on what Mayweather’s ATG ranking should be. The point I am making, which all of you Mayweather fanatics are getting you knickers in a twist about, is that most of you grossly overrate him. I’ve just spoken the truth here. I’ll reiterate the main points again for you.
Mayweather has never fought let alone beaten a great fighter when they were in their prime.
He’s clearly actively ducked and avoided one.
He also retired when the welterweight division was loaded with talent and it doesn’t take a genius to work out why.
B fighter Castillo beat him.
The shell of De La Hoya took him to a split decision and unquestionably would’ve beat him if he was in his prime. Even a 65% De La Hoya would’ve beat him.
His competition since moving up to 140 has been average at best.
The best fighters he fought were way past their best.
De La Hoya, Mosley, and Cotto were mere ghosts of what they once were.
The Marquez fight was a complete joke. A meaningless victory.
Hatton was a B fighter at best and the referee’s performance in that fight was nothing short of shameful. Hatton had to fight two opponents in the ring that night.
Baldomir is one of the worst welterweight champions in the history of the sport.
Judah was a pretty good win.
Gatti was a B – fighter at best and by the time Mayweather fought him had taken an obscene amount of punishment throughout his career by the time Mayweather fought him. A clear case of Mayweather demonstrating the exact right time when to pick his opponent again, which is something he’s done throughout his career to perfection.
Mitchell was shot.
And Ortiz and Gurrero are the very definition of average.
That leaves Canelo. I see that a fairly good win but who has Canelo ever eaten other than Trout? Shot Mosley? Who has Trout ever beaten? Shot Cotto. You see my point.
Even Mayweather’s resume below 140 is very average.
I’m sorry if you people think I’m just hating but honestly I really am not. I do consider him a great fighter and I respect his ability and talent. But he is a terrible cherrypicker and a ducker and these are traits which just should not be lauded and celebrated.
He’s undefeated because he deliberately chose not to test himself against his most formidable adversaries while they were in their prime not because he’s one of the top 20 greatest fighters in history. His record would be littered with numerous loses if he had fought in stronger eras and tested himself against the kind of competition great fighters seek out. But he deliberately avoided doing that and he did so for a reason. I’m not going to hold my tongue or apologize for my stance just to please others when I know better. And nor should I have to.Posted September 15, 2013 12:40 pm
The ONLY people who believe that Mayweather has any business in the ring with MW’s or SMW’s are guys who want Floyd to lose no matter how invalid the matchup is… Canelo had 15 pounds on him, Floyd had to eat hearty to bring even 150 to the ring fight night… This man is a WW who’s skill allowed him to win 3 Jr MW fights but that’s not his division… Certainly not against guys who hit the scale at 160′or 168 after beginning at 130…Posted September 15, 2013 12:12 pm

Hidalgo, you are correct. Therefore, it makes it even more ludicrous for Mayweather to face off with Middleweights and Super Middleweights. Thanks for emphasising my point.Posted September 15, 2013 11:45 am
Voice of reason, if you are going to reprimand someone for the comments they make, Karen for example, try to make sure your statements are based on fact. I believe Bernstein said Floyd weighed 150 when he entered the ring last night which was 1/2 pounds less than he weighed at the weigh in–not 154 as you stated in your response to Karen.Posted September 15, 2013 10:45 am
“Just how I thought it would go. Garcia, Mayweather Molina. ”
Good calls, Hecdog. I thought Matthysse would stop Garcia but he never really had an opportunity to land big bombs on Danny’s chin. Garcia fought one of the most intelligent fights I’ve ever seen. Plus, he showcased his skill advantage over Matthysse.
As for the Smith/Molina bout, well, that was a crappy sloppy fight and a very tough one to score. I didn’t see Molina winning it as he was about as effective as spitting into the wind. But he did enough to make Smith look bad as well. I think the fight should have been scored a Draw.
I hope all the people on these boards who regularly call you a fool or try to make a fool out of you acknowledge your correct choices for these three fights.Posted September 15, 2013 10:41 am
Alvarez is too big for Pacquaio who loves to trade and is not nearly as elusive or responsible on defense as Floyd Mayweather…Floyds not a real 154 pounder so Manny sure is not, if he tries to bang with Canelo it would be his undoing the Manny of 2010 might have been able to handle a guy naturally that bigger but today’s Manny has not stopped a fighter in at least 3 years and had his bell rung by Marquez who’s only WW win is over HIM… As for Manny posing a threat to Floyd that’s just pure comedy and I really am a PAC Man fan, he’s just makes far too many mistakes and FMJs height, reach and defense would keep him out of range while sticking it to a lunging Pacquaio repeatedly… This is not worth discussing because Top Rank and Golden Boy are not gonna work together while Oscars in rehab and Arums still breathing..Posted September 15, 2013 10:31 am

I want to see floyd flight Darren Barker or Carl Froch
Stop being scared floyd. Come to the UK and show us you are good, last time we heard someone as good as you was Lacy and Joe beat them
Where to begin, to shatter your ignorance? Floyd entered the ring weighing 154lbs! He is really a Welterweight fighting at Super Welterweight. You suggest he fights guys in Barker and Froch who are Middleweights and Super Middleweights who will enter the ring weighing anything between 170 and 180 lbs…. Excuse my rudeness, but are you even a boxing fan? Why not go further and suggest he faces Wladimir Klitschko?
To be honest, without the weight disparity Floyd would School Barker 10 rounds to 2 and I am a Barker fan…. Froch would be far too big and punch far too hard for him.

If you really want to see how biased the minority are here just look at how this debate has shifted from one where FMM could not be compared to past eras to one where his greatness should be determined by a fight against PAC. Lol. Desperation. Lucky enough greatness won’t be determined by anyone here but in the ring. For arguments sake if PAC beats FMM dies that mean he is the greatest of the erA with 5 or 6 defeats to his name? No it doesn’t! Therefore why should one victory against PAC determine FMM greatness? It makes no sense! To truly judge you have to look past individual fights and look at other factors as well. Haters! Smh!Posted September 15, 2013 6:11 am
Canelo would have been outscored anyway but he should have taken his weight
Wow u Floyd haters its sad to read your
Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)
Actually FMJ refused to agree to a 50/50 split with PacMan and expected him to accept 0% of the PPV sales. WTF? Keep in mind that PacMan was every bit as big of a draw, globally speaking, as FMJ was at that time.
Floyd’s endless greed, on top of the baseless PED accusations and testing demands, is why that fight didn’t happen. FMJ recently released a statement to the media saying he’ll never fight Pac. Why would he say that when everything could be re-negotiated at this point??? Answer: Because FMJ has been coached by his dad and uncles to avoid PacMan at at costs.Posted September 15, 2013 5:14 am

Why should I be a coward? Stupid question! What does Pac have that makes you think he can beat Floyd? He is not faster than Floyd, defensively he is not the best, he is often wild and unbalanced. Pac has nothing that would suggest he could beat Floyd, nothing that we have not seen anyway. This fight would have been interesting in 2009 or 2010 but Pac has slipped ever since and him and his Team did not want the fight back then and if they were to fight today Floyd would win more convincingly than he would have in 2009 or 2010.Posted September 15, 2013 4:56 am

He said he’d never fight at a catch-weight. He said he considered Cotto undefeated because Pacquiao made him fight at a catch-weight, shouldn’t Alvarez still be undefeated then?Posted September 15, 2013 2:39 am
I’ve got some facts for you.
Floyd has never fought, let alone beaten a great fighter in their prime.
But we all know he ducked one for years and years.
He lost to a B fighter in Castillo.
He has been knocked down.
He failed three drug tests.
He retired for almost 2 years to avoid fighting the world’s leading welterweights when they were at their best, waiting on the sidelines and watching them beat the threat out of each other until he found his urge again.Posted September 15, 2013 2:36 am
Even Canelo gave Floyd full props after the fight and some of you clowns can’t . Amazing. Canelo was weight drained???? More excuses. Y’all are so full if itPosted September 15, 2013 2:33 am
Half of those are opinions, opinions and lies. How stupid are you? The truth hurts. You should try and derive your self-worth from things you achieve not others. That’s why you get so defensive when people criticize Floyd. He’s a great fighter but true fans who are knowledgeable about the history of the sport know he’s nowhere near being one of the greatest of all time.Posted September 15, 2013 2:31 am
Jack Dempsey is ranked WAY to high on the P4P all time list a couple of posts down, he was a great puncher and fighter for his time period but his opponents weren’t very good and he sat on his title going 3 full years without a fight!
I really wanted Matthysse to beat Garcia and that fight was hard to watch especially after the eye injury as it was obvious Mattysshe would never be able to turn things around, lets face it, Matthysse can’t beat top tier slick boxers.
So, Khan vs Mayweather huh? You know what, even with his glassy chin Khan’s hand speed would cause some trouble for May for a few rounds much like when Judah and Mosley were able to catch him with fast straight punches.Posted September 15, 2013 2:30 am
Floyd just beat another CHAMP and Top 10 P4P opponent at 36 while everyone on that list couldn’t besidesHopkins. Pacquiao got knocked out by Top 10 P4P competition at 34…. Floyd is the GOAT.Posted September 15, 2013 2:30 am
Well….we will see what happens in china, but I still think manny is concussion prone after that ko, however, even if manny can find a way to beat rios who recently jumped from 135 to 140 now to fight him at 147 after losing his last fight…that doesn’t prove a thing….it just doesn’t. Manny is irrelevant. He needs to fight a top 10 his size, for once, they are either dehydrated bigger men or smaller men jumping weight classesPosted September 15, 2013 2:29 am
Canelo put up a good fight, he just beat himself with problems with stamina, If he would have had the energy throughout the fight he would have won. He was making Mayweather bite on fakes and he was doing a great job doubling the jab, pay attention others who fight Mayweather, if you double the jab and add som fakes you will beat him everytime. Mayweather will have a difficult time winning against a boxer. Mayweather was only able to land anything good is when Canelo got tired and sometimes a good single job,but when Canelo gave him the head movement, Mayweather was uncomfortable. Maybe people will see now that there is a reason why Mayweather does not want to fight Pacquiao, he throws more then 500 punches in a fight.Posted September 15, 2013 2:29 am
Lol the only question is what now really? Do u go down the Garcia road? Triple g at 154 maybe because obviously nobody at 160 want s to fight him. That was so easy I was literally laughing at it. Just looked like a day at the gymPosted September 15, 2013 2:28 am
Floyd mayweather in his prime. An amazing site to behold. Sorry Ray Robinson, Ray Leonard, Ali, Roy Jones Jr, Hagler but arguably the best ever. There is alot of hate for Mayweather, he does not appear to be the nicest person but in the ring he is the perfect example of a boxer.Posted September 15, 2013 2:27 am
Pfff! That list is subjective but the facts speak for themselves. We are asking floyd to tick every box and none other boxers on that list do that.
Floyds earned the most money from the sport
He is undefeated
He is the greatest defensive boxer ever
He has never been knocked down
He defeats fighters almost half his age
He has an excellent amateur record
I could go on and onPosted September 15, 2013 2:25 am
How does Mayweather’s resume stack up against the resumes of Robinson, Greb, Duran, Ali, Langford, Conn, Charles, Chavez, Leonard etc? It sucks in comparison. He’d have loads of loses if he fought comparable competition as those guys did. B level Castillo beat him.Posted September 15, 2013 2:24 am
GGG is a middleweight. If he fights and beats GGG, what’s next? People demanding he fight Andre Ward? Let it go, people. Floyd is simply one of the best ever in his lifetime. Give him his props.Posted September 15, 2013 2:23 am
Pac may lose to rios. And yes canelo would kill pac in a slugfest. Floyd would be crazy to fight ggg. If that fight happens i got ggg! Tough to speculate if floyd beats fighters of the past in their prime. Remember floyd is 36, past his prime n kicking ass!Posted September 15, 2013 2:22 am
Floyd is #1 on THIS list
#1 Floyd Mayeather
#2-#1, 000, 000… the REST.Posted September 15, 2013 2:22 am
GGG is WAY TOO SLOW to catch Mayweather. Another Virtuoso WIN for Mayweather. GGG is better OFF testing #2 P4P Ward.Posted September 15, 2013 2:20 am
I want to see floyd flight Darren Barker or Carl Froch
Stop being scared floyd. Come to the UK and show us you are good, last time we heard someone as good as you was Lacy and Joe beat them
ThanksPosted September 15, 2013 2:19 am
Well, now I want to see Floyd vs GGG at 154 (or 152 if need be).Posted September 15, 2013 2:17 am
The scores were much much tighter than the reality of the fight showed all of us not to mention the joke of a ‘draw’verdict, C JRoss should be fired on the spot.
Pretty crummy card top to bottom, the Ashley Theophane fight was the best of the night!
There really isn’t anyone out there to fight Mayweather that is a threat, unless he takes on GGG, he might as well take on GGG, it would play out with similar results to the Canelo fight. That way no one can say Floyd took easy touches into retirement if he were to beat GGG easily.Posted September 15, 2013 2:15 am
Floyd haters pinning hopes on PAC. Smh! We don’t even know whether PAC will accept the fight. Plus with all the technology available people still can’t figure floyd out. Like I said GREATEST OF ALL TIME!Posted September 15, 2013 2:14 am
Did anybody really expect anything different? I really enjoyed the fight, but I knew that this is how it would play out. My compliments to both fighters.Posted September 15, 2013 2:13 am
mayweather edges fights like a guillotine.Posted September 15, 2013 2:12 am
Money vs. Manny only worth while fight out therePosted September 15, 2013 2:11 am
Ok I will concede that if some fans say he should fight pacman to considered greatest of all time than fine I can live with that. But he has Arendt eclipsed those of the past.
I hope that once he schools PAC that will be the end of the debatePosted September 15, 2013 2:10 am
I think some fans exist in fantasy land. In the real world floyd is 45-0. Doesn’t matter about a prime so and so would have…..
What kind of sorry excuse is that. I could counter and say that due to technology boxing is more technical nowadays. So maybe the gears of the past would have been found out a lot earlier .
I think the discussion needs to move towards thinking of floyd as the greatest ever. Tbh if you check the net there are past opponents and boxing critics who are increasingly starting to recognise this.Posted September 15, 2013 2:04 am
No, he is not the best fighter of ALL times. He is a good fighter for this era. An era where fighters have the luxury of choosing their opponents. Duran, Leonard,Hearns,Hafler,Sanchez etc… Those were GREAT fighters. The best fighting the best at THE CORRECT TIME. PEAK TIME . Regardless of taking a loss, pride took a front seat in the quest for ring supremacy amongst those fighters. Big difference here. Cheers.Posted September 15, 2013 2:03 am
My bf list money putting on canelo.
CORRECTION. …I TOLD Old Yank and Herron…Posted September 15, 2013 2:03 am
U TOLD Herron and Old Yank that Garcia had the tools to WIN and I was CORRECT yet again!!! I am the GREATEST Fight Prophet ever born!!!!!.Posted September 15, 2013 2:02 am
152, 154, 200. Weight wasnt a factor. Skills pay bills. Canelo was still a strong, rough, tough 170 fight night! Pus i still bet canelo would kill pac if they fought! Those who think pac will kill floyd please leave the drugs alone, stop watching boxing, and kill yourself. Last cj ross should never be allowed to just another fight! A draw? Really? I gave canelo 2 rds at best!Posted September 15, 2013 2:01 am
Where are the idiots that were saying Canelo was going to upset Meayweather? Like I said….EASY money…like taking Candy from a baby! Please Mexican brothers u have been played! Canelo is no Oscar or Chavez he is a hype machine designed to drain our hard earned money!! He is a fraud!! A FRAUD!!?Posted September 15, 2013 2:01 am
Floyd is the first man to start cleaning out the P4P list WOW!!!! He just defeated his 5th Top 10 P4P opponent in his last 7 Fights. WOW!!!!!Posted September 15, 2013 2:00 am
Reem go watch MMA, not true fans just dumb @$$ fans. Skills pay the bills. Like I told y’all Canelo is a bum. Canelo=MexicantPosted September 15, 2013 2:00 am
I’ve always maintained the only fighters that could’ve possibly have beaten Mayweather are the ones he ducked. I’ve no doubt Pacquioa would’ve destroyed him, and obviously Mayweather knew he couldn’t have won that fight or he wouldn’t have ducked him. Prime De La Hoya definitely would’ve beaten him too. Even the most ardent Mayweather supporter can’t deny that. The shell of De La Hoya took him to a split decision so it’s incontestable that a prime one would’ve beat him easy. Prime Cotto and Mosley would’ve stood a good chance too, as would Margarito.Posted September 15, 2013 1:59 am
Greatest of all time!
He is clearing out the division. There will be no one left lolPosted September 15, 2013 1:57 am
Cj ross needs to be removed from boxing all together. He wanted canelo to win that bad. The punch numbers werent even close. Floyd is the best…and floyd stood in the pocket most of the night.Posted September 15, 2013 1:57 am
Totally agree with Punch. Rigo is a master boxer lust like Floyd. Canelo really was not supposed to be there fighting Floyd at this time, not to say Floyd weighed 146.Posted September 15, 2013 1:56 am
CJ ROSS NEEDS TO GET LYNCHED! FLOYD MAYWEATHER ” TBE”Posted September 15, 2013 1:55 am
Canelo didn’t impress me tonight, looked like a one trick pony. Mayweather didn’t have to press Canelo to hard because Canelo was content being mayweather Beotch all night. It’s always the money that matters in the end, so why try hard cause you just won the lotto right. I remember Buster Douglas, he made a promise to his mother when she died and he was on a mission, now that is determination. I just saw Canelo really blow the fight off, so many people willing to give him props for being the nights big loser. Mayweather giving Canelo props for being his little Beotch at the end of the fight that was so cute.Posted September 15, 2013 1:55 am
If you guys at it, you can also find masterful moves in ballet. Maybe guys like you fit better to such sport, true boxing fans want to see power punches, drama and knockouts instead of just technique.Posted September 15, 2013 1:54 am
That was an awesome fight I enjoy every single round…. Damn Floyd is the best… I don’t know how he do it… Every fight is just the same…this guy can fight until he reach his retirement age of 65 … Damn he is good.Posted September 15, 2013 1:53 am
Floyd made Canelo LOOK slower than MOLASSES just as I predicted!!!! I am the GREATEST Fight Prophet ever born!!!! .Posted September 15, 2013 1:53 am
“114-114? Silly. Floyd dominated. Catchweigh did not appear to be an issue. Canelo was just outclassed and outboxed.” Hidalgo, you’re growing up…good for you.Posted September 15, 2013 1:53 am
Money May schools the next GOAT and still gets no credit from some, hope floyd comes over to the UK and schools Amir Karnt and show another hype job up. Matthyse,Canelo were going to turn the boxing world on its head tonight, whoops,ODH best take the blue print and use it to wall paper the walls he’s climbing up..Posted September 15, 2013 1:53 am
Canelo was a hype job from the beginning. It remains me of the movie the great white hype…and we keep falling for it. Canelo did not hit FMW as much as Cotton did. Let see what happens to canelo now? GGG? Martinez? Cotton? As for Floyd, there is only one fight left for him and that is with Manny. We need to clear any doubts out there. Oscar where is the blue print?Posted September 15, 2013 1:52 am
No this bout wasn’t fixed. Mayweather won thus evening fair and square as they say here in the States. Did he catch Canelo at the right time in his career? Perhaps a hearty yes. Still Canelo is a professional and as such you have to rise to.the occasion and GRAB that championship GLORY if you really WANT it. Apparently he did not leave it all in the ring. Still he has gained valuable experience. That shoukd count for something. Cj Ross? An example of all that’s wrong with the integrity of the sport.Posted September 15, 2013 1:52 am
It wasn’t even a fight as I predicted.Posted September 15, 2013 1:51 am
WHERE THE HELL IS TARK!!!!
Just as I predicted Floyd by UD. But Canelo under perform he just wasn’t in the fight had he pushed the fight it could have ended earlier. He started slow to save energy but when he started apply pressure he just couldn’t catch Floyd which was expected. Floyd no doubt is the best boxer on the planet and the only fighter close to him if not better than is Rigo!!!Posted September 15, 2013 1:50 am
HAHAHAHAHHA Q WAS RIGHT ALL YOU DOUBTERS GOT IT WRONG AGAIN..Posted September 15, 2013 1:49 am
Oscar didn’t show because he knew one Judge was PAID off. But Floyd is SO GREAT that he defeated the Fight Fix once again!!! Thats why he’s the GOAT. Canelo couldn’t touch him with a TEN foot pole.Posted September 15, 2013 1:48 am
Box didnt you pick Canelo?Posted September 15, 2013 1:48 am
Let the excuses begin.Posted September 15, 2013 1:48 am
As ive said, There is a mismatch in speed. There’s no one who can give Mayweather a close fight. The next opponent should be fast, and do have a higher workrate. Don’t mention Garcia as a next opponent as there is no chance of him come close to Mayweather. Bring it on Manny vs Floyd. I just think if Manny is in there it is a much interesting fight. Mayweather is fighting Flat fotted fighters in the last decade. It is so simple, to beat him, we need an opponent that is also fast with his fist and with his toes.Posted September 15, 2013 1:47 am
Floyd is simply one of the best to put on a pair of gloves. More people are now realizing it and the haters are dying a slow death.Posted September 15, 2013 1:47 am
The subtle shifts in pace, the masterful use of angles, the on-the-spot adaptability-this is what boxing at its highest level is all about. To true boxing fans, a Mayweather master class is every bit as entertaining as a two-fisted brawl. Genius is only boring to the poorly-informed and the legitimately dim-witted.Posted September 15, 2013 1:45 am
If Floyd was any good, he would stop his opponents, but thruth is he can only stop b level fighers like Gatti. Seriously if thisn guy is considered GOTY, boxing will be dead in 10 years.Posted September 15, 2013 1:45 am
SKILLS, Boxing IQ, and SPEED were the factors just as I predicted!!! I am the GREATEST Fight Prophet ever born!!!!!Posted September 15, 2013 1:44 am
114-114…..Go to specsavers….Considering I have only posted once on here tonight, can you explain how I am posting to fastPosted September 15, 2013 1:44 am
Just how I thought it would go. Garcia, Mayweather Molina. Canelo as I had said was way in over his head and could not win a boxing match or attempt to out counter punch Floyd. Too much experience, speed, agility and boxing skills. He had a miracle punchers chance, but the miracle never came. I was impressed with Floyd Mayweather tonight. He did a fantastic job in all areas. He’s still not better than Leonard, Duran, Benitez, Hearns or Hagler, but tonight he was very, very good.Posted September 15, 2013 1:43 am
Another win for a typical Mayboring fight! Some people say he is the greatest then I guess his fights are the greatest and most entertaining. Looks like Canelo didn’t get to fight the way he should be…huh… I say another fixed fight where the deal is made in the table long before this fight … Suckers……Posted September 15, 2013 1:43 am
Floyd makes very good, world-class fighters look average, or worse.Posted September 15, 2013 1:42 am
that was more or less a complete shut out, reminiscent of calzaghe vs lacey
pacman has absolutely NO CHANCE whatsoeverPosted September 15, 2013 1:41 am
114-114? Silly. Floyd dominated. Catchweigh did not appear to be an issue. Canelo was just outclassed and outboxed.Posted September 15, 2013 1:39 am
was a fan
From here looks like someone was paid not to fight.Posted September 15, 2013 1:37 am
Canelo landed some good shots on Floyd and I gave a lot of the early rounds to Canelo. He fought a smart, disciplined fight. He was one of the first fighters to really hit Floyd.Posted September 15, 2013 1:36 am
True, yeah that’s right, dominant like the Klitschkos, just without the power, drama and knockouts. It’s more exciting to watch the paint dry, as I said you saw one round, you saw the whole fight.Posted September 15, 2013 1:36 am
Oscar bought cj ross. Okay who is floyd ducking…maybe they should look in the light heavy weight division….good fight…canelo got frustrated. Floyd landed percentages were way higher in every category….Posted September 15, 2013 1:35 am
MAYWEATHER made this bout look like a sparring session and MATTHYSSE lost his chance….CJ ROSS needs to join STANLEY CHRISTODOULOU in Judge School as they are clearly NOT UP to judging boxing, even though Christodoulou has been around for more than 30 years as ref and judge….. POOR INDEED!!!
I am not posting comments too quickly ESB….. you just can’t handle the traffic!Posted September 15, 2013 1:35 am
Yes it’s over my friend. Actually in all honesty it was over by the fourth round. Perhaps im beung generous. No excuses here. The better fighter won THIS night. Canelo was very disappointing. He shiwed absolutely NOTHING HERE tonight. A good solid victory for Mayweather. Cheers.Posted September 15, 2013 1:33 am
How is it possible that C J Ross is still in the business? He had Bradley winning with Pacquiao and now this one a draw? Is he even there at those fights or does he watch something else at home on dvd?Posted September 15, 2013 1:33 am
Gee yet another Mayweather borefest, if you watched one round, you saw the whole fight. No power punches, no drama, just the same boring crap every round to bore the fans. If this fight broke the PPV record I feel sorry for the sport of boxing and this is actually the reason why boxing is losing ground to MMA.Posted September 15, 2013 1:33 am
Once again, the haters put their hope in a fighter Floyd schooled in the end. And what’s that haters? Mattesye? Well, he just got upset by Garcia. Whose your great hope now? I know, I know, Floyd is still fraud, and Floyd still didn’t beat anybody. Poor Canelo, he’s another nobody, like a Floyd’s victims.Posted September 15, 2013 1:32 am
who said the fight was a draw ?????????Posted September 15, 2013 1:31 am

Is the fight over?Posted September 15, 2013 1:29 am
This is BAD. Actually very bad to worst. No if,ands or buts about it. The better fighter is winning thus far. I expected much more from Canelo than THIS. In spite of his inexperience, I would’ve thought this kid would rise to the occasion. He better pull something out SOON.This fight is leaning towards a stoppage.Posted September 15, 2013 1:27 am
Thought Floyd was going to get robbed for a second. Good win by the P4P#1 once again.Posted September 15, 2013 1:27 am
