It’s Me, Ernie

Mago is a highlight real in the making with that POOR defense, his time is coming…

TARK

The Wilder team is going to try to get the winner of this one… Abdusalamov would look good on Deontay’s resume — and it’s 2 massive punchers colliding.

WHAT ABOUT HAYE”S TOE

Posted September 28, 2013 10:16 am

Kid Blast

Haye would box circles around this guy and then send him to Lenin Dreamland.

Kid Blast

As controversial and untested as Wilder is, he would decapitate this defensive-challenged mug who also lacks a solid chin. Wilder’s right would KO Mago brutally and decisively.

I would love to see haye vs mago but haye would never take a fight with a puncher … Barrett Ruiz ,robo valuev, Harrison ,chisora see the pattern none of them are punchers exept klitchko who was his money fight and tried to surviveve for 12 rounds ….

Pulеv-Wlаd-еpic fight

Mago reminds me of Mike Tyson–if Mike Tyson fought with the defensive skills of Tex Cobb and George Chuvalo.

I’m sorry, but Mago is not 6’3. He was shorter than Rich Power who I met and is no more than 6’3 himself.

the winner should ko fury, while the loser ko’s wilder. then rematch.

KL good breakdown. This is an interesting stylistic match up. Perez has good skills and some pop. Mago has no defense but brings mad pressure from the opening bell. So far he’s broken down everyone doing this but does Perez have the ability to elude the bombs and mount a counter attack? That’s the big question we’ll have answered.

“Deontay is six inches taller than Mago and has a 7′ reach.” – No, Mago is listed at 6-3 which is an honest height unlike some of these exaggerated list heights. So he’s 4 inches shorter but has a thick build. Deontay’s fighting Firtha and has never faced any contender so I don’t know why he’s topical to this thread about two undefeated prospect/contenders who are actually taking a risk.

KL

Mike Perez looked a bit labored and lacking in power when he took on Travis Walker earlier this year, and hope he gets into better shape for this fight, Perez certainly has the skills to comfortably out point Mago.
Mago hasn’t got very good defensive skills or particularly good boxing skill, so I don’t think Mago will become world champ…..even if he were to KO Perez…….Mago will need much more than just power to capture the crown.
If Perez comes in better shape than he did against Walker then Perez should win, but Mago could make Perez pay if he doesn’t come in tip top condition.

Deontay is six inches taller than Mago and has a 7′ reach. He’ll be able to hit Mago from the parking lot! Oh, and Mago is “from” Florida. LMAO!

srminimo

Mago looked VERY limited against Bisbal, so I’m going with Perez.

Perez has a lot of good skills but like most Cuban HWs he has so far failed to live up to expectations. There seems to be a lack of motivation with the Cuban big guys although in the lower weight classes they turn out some fine fighters.

Man this is gonna be an epic – a real slugfest. What a great match-up! i cant call who will win but we’re guaranteed to see fireworks

Perez is a class above – should be a comfortable win.

Gona be a fun fight be a chance for some lesser known prospects to get some exposure on tv and chance to get them in title contention. There is a lot of dead wood around hw department so some fresh talent is most welcome. But anyone know which British tv network will show this card?

flash knock down

I AM GLAD TO SEE THAT MOST PEOPLE THINK THAT THIS WILL BE A GREAT FIGHT. I HAVE NOT SEEN THE CUBAN KID SO I CAN’T SPEAK ON HIM. BUT I HAVE SEEM MAGO UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL ONE OF MY FIGHTERS FOUGHT HIM 4 YEARS AGO. MAGO IS A SEEK AND DISTROY FIGHTER HE IS NOT GOING TO BOX HE ME STRAIGHT AT IS GOING TO COME STRAIGHT AT PERIZ. I AM TAKING MAGO BY 1ST OR SECOND ROUND KNOCK OUT. I SAID THIS 4 YEARS AGO THAT MAGO WOULD BE A WORLD CHAMPION AND I HAVE NOT CHANGED MY MIND.

Mago is a bum, but I like his style.

Posted September 26, 2013 11:29 pm

I would guess Mago loses this one. He’s not up to Perez’s skill level, he’s offense-only, and McCline, who was trying to lose as usual, decked him. Not a good sign.

“Would love to see Abdusalamov vs Wilder, now THAT is a do not blink fight. Whoever connects first….” – That would indeed be a good fight. But Wilder so far is all talk. Mago is going after a fellow undefeated prospect/contender. Wilder’s next opponent is Nicholas Farhar (sp) who is a journeyman. No need to fantasize about other matches because Mago vs Perez is all out war. Exactly what the division needs.

Pulev already beat this guy, and I think Pulev is next for Wlad, the King of Boxing!!

punch

Mago should get his ass handed over to him in this fight IF Perez is smart enough. Mago is all brass i.e has the brass to win the fight but almost no brains due to lOW ring IQ.

Posted September 26, 2013 6:16 pm

Perez is way more skilled, but been very inactive.Mago has the great chin, but is slower and easier to hit.If Perez is in shape and sharp,he should take this without alot of problems. But with his long lay-offs,and indulging lifestlye he been living who knows…thats what makes this interesting…should be fun!!!

Wilder may be the next courage tshabalala, we will see when he gets some big fights, my guess is he will lose.

Shatterd Dreams

Great fight, this is high risk for both fighters. Both are undefeated but largely untested contenders, Mago is a serious puncher but Perez maybe the more complete fighter of the two. Mago has knocked out everyone put in front of him but has showed some vulnerability in being floored heavily by Jameel McCline. Apart from some serious inactivity i have’nt seen to many flaws in Perez, he can box and punch. I’d go for Perez in this one.

Good business. Mago wins, and fights wladimir next year on hbo

Whoa. That’s a banging fight. Two undefeated heavyweights who can crack, winner comes roaring into contention. This is how the heavyweight division is supposed to go. PS: ESB I haven’t posted one time since yesterday. How’s that posting too fast? Fix the website.
