The Mad Scientist I wouldn’t buy what FightHype reports as fact. They seem to make things up.

I just read on fighthype.com that the fight between Devon Alexander and Amir Khan fell through to make way for Floyd Mayweather and A-mere-Con next..GBP better stack the undercard for this one if they’re planning to bamboozle the mexican fanbase again..Lol

I’ll be rooting for Vera just like I was rooting for Josesitlo lopez vs Canelo even though I know the deck is stacked so heavily against them they have little to no chance of winning..

Mad Scientist – I’m a PR as you know but it fkn pisses me off and I feel bad for these Mexican guys like Josesito Lopez, Rubio and Vera being used like this.. it’s fk’d up and just not right.. just to prop up these fkn PrimaDonnas..

I can see some really good fights being made with Danny Garcia, Lucas, Matthyess, Mickey Garcia and Abner Mares at 140lbs.. all of whom come into he ring above 140lbs..

Mad Scientist – No doubt, and I definitely have not said that Mexico hasn’t produced many prospects because they have it’s just that they haven’t produced a top unbeaten world Class fighter in over a decade and if I’m honest neither has Puerto Rico… We have Danny Garcia now but we shall see how he unfolds..

Posted September 27, 2013 2:04 pm

The Mad Scientist

PE -it doesn’t matter if Mexico or mexicans haven’t produce a great fighter in the last 10 years or whatever..you still have to go through mexican fighter to become a star in the sport of boxing here in America..Floyd Mayweather is the exception but all the other champions in the lower weight classes are always in danger of being ktfo, beaten up, or dethroned somehow someway by any mexican fighter on any given Saturday night so just deal with the fact that Mexico will never go in a drought like Puerto Rico..Lol!

MIKE

Vera looks like Arreolas little brother.

Uncle Arum and Suliaman would just be OK with any weight he comes in at.. it’s not like smaller C level Vera has a chance here.. he knows he’s just a floor mat so Cheato jr. can wipe his feet on as he is walked towards a big Payday..

Wouldn’t it be funny ridiculous if Chavez still didn’t make weight at 173?

Posted September 27, 2013 10:34 am

Public Enemy

Mad Scientist – Mexico has produced great Champions, just not in the past Decade.. all who tried to become Mexicos next Great Champion, even the US Stateside Mexican Wannabees like Arreola, Ortiz, Diaz Brothers, etc have flopped…

Posted September 27, 2013 10:28 am

Public Enemy

Mad Scientist – Just like Mexican Americans hold their Mexican Flags with Pride and claim to be mexican fighters although many have never stepped foot in Mexico, Puerto Rican fighters no matter where they live will always represent being Puerto Rican with Pride..

Posted September 27, 2013 10:25 am

Public Enemy

LOL – So Danny Garcia who’s Parents are Puerto Rican isn’t Puerto Rican but any Mexican American is Mexican??? So that means Arreola, Ortiz, Bam Bam Rios, Margarito, Mickey Garcia, etc etc are not really Mexican right, Gotta love that.. Didn’t Wilfredo Vasquez Jr. and Luis Collazo just beat two undefeated Mexican Prospects??

Posted September 27, 2013 10:23 am

The Mad Scientist

PE -Mexico has a couple of good promising champions in Juan F. Estrada, Leo Santa Cruz and Abner Mares and Canelo still have some future for themselves don’t count them out yet..not to mention if history has thought us anything eventually another good mexican fighter emerges out of nowhere to terrorize a division in the lower weight classes..now you want to talk about a country with no real promising fighter take a good look at Puerto Rico..Lol!, don’t even try to mention Danny Garcia because he represents Philly, the latin people of the USA and he grew up idolizing mexican fighters..Lol!

IRISHNY AHHH… “… Vera looks like miniature Arreola’??!! Man, I took another look and YOU’RE RIGHT!! LOL LOL!! Good one!

Amigos, as I already said on another prior related article, ONE thing I will say for Chavez jr is that rather than risking getting busted and suspended for diuretics he just plain admitted that he couldn’t make the weight. Had he waited for today’s OFFICIAL (Non-OFFICIAL weight stipulated) weigh-in (sounds crazy, huh??) there might’ve been cancellations, lost of future considerations, loss of sponsorships, allegations, suits… But anit it good to be a Chavez. Well, it’s HIS birth name, and I guess HE has all the right to use it however it benefit$ him, even if for the “wrong” reasons. He’s not the first and won’t be the last, except that he has taken it to a UNPRESEDENTED NEW LEVEL. Like it or not, it makes a whole lot’s CENT$!! The weigh-in should be interesting. Stay tuned!! Peace to all!!

I cant be the only one who notices that Vera looks like a miniature Arreola!

Chavez isn’t more important than Canelo. Canelo draws way more than Chavez.

The difference in the Floyd fight was that they didn’t hug, kiss, touch gloves and the try and touch gloves again after the ref said box. Not to mention Floyd wasn’t the one doing the head butt or below the belt shot

Vera says he’s in his best ever shape. Jr says he’s going to be at his best. Another boxing press conference where the fighters talk in cliches and say nothing.

After Canelo hit FM in the balls, he should have pulled the classic FM sunday punch and KO’d FM when his hands were down and wanting to tap gloves,… just like FM did to Ortiz. It would have been deja vu for Floyd.

But so far, Chavez is much more impressive that Canelo.
