I love Paul…as a fighter and a person. But there’s no way any version of the Punisher defeats Canelo!! Alvarez punches way to hard for a fighter who opens up as much as Williams. God Bless Paul Williams!! It was great to see him back on Showtime this past weekend!!

Paul Williams would of beat him period. Saul hav’nt fight no one in the 154 yet. Stop babying fighter with a belt. Fight the next man in line Lara next. If not then Carlos Molina period. Molina deserve his shot next.

Did you just say Floyd-the-avoid is the best pound for pound boxer in the sport??? Otherwise, great article. About time people saw the potential in this bloke

He would not easily ko Cotto. Canelo is to stationary to win. Cotto has progressed greatly since his fight with paceman. If you remember cotto trained himself for that fight he had no real trainer. That’s why you seen him have a meltdown after round 4. Cotto can move now and box effectively and knows when to sit and punch and get out. He has one of the best jabs in boxing if not the best. He does damage with his jab. His jab will neutralize canelo greatly because he will jab and move then come in and pound with a quick combo and get out then do it all over again. Canelo doesn’t have the footwork to keep up to do a thing about it. I predict Cotto to win by late stoppage because it will eventually frustrate canelo and he will get sloppy and when Cotto smells blood he will jump on him and end the fight. Canelo hasn’t had to fight a guy who will throw him off his game plan and have to resort to plan b or c. When he gets to that point against Cotto he will be lost not knowing what to do next and thats when he will get sloppy and desperate leaving himself open to getting picked apart.

Agreed…Mayweather is simply content with enjoying his freedom at this juncture. I would love to see Canelo face the winner of Berto/K9, Cotto/Trout, or Lara/Martirosyan. I can’t wait to see how Canelo’s fairs against the best of 154!!

I would love to see Canelo fight any of the top fighters in the Junior Middleweight division…Carlos Molina, James Kirkland, Austin Trout, Miguel Cotto, K9 Bundrage, Garbriel Rosado, Vanes Martirosyan, Erislandy Lara, Alfredo Angulo Carlos Quintana, and last but not least…Floyd Mayweather Jr.

As deep as the 154 pound weight division is, Canelo will outgrow the weight before he cleans out the division…I love it!!
