GGG had over 340 wins in the armatures …..that is stellar s…hit people….that is hard work and a great foundation for pro success

Pretty good show, but when will they upgrade their communications devices? Their phones are horrible. Zab Judah and Paulie M. should be a great fight on Dec. 7. Amir Khan vs Floyd will be a boring fight. Floyd will school him without taking ANY chances.

I think Mike will start off boxing but the mad Russian will push him to slug and things can over heat quickly…….I can’t wait to see this fight.

That’s right, Hidalgo…it’s going to be very interesting on Saturday night!! Another great fight…this year has been awesome for the sport!!

Hidalgo

Ok, Joseph. So Mike is training in Denver. That could be an advantage for him because he’ll be acclimated to the altitude. But if he hasn’t trained hard for this fight, no amount of altitude adjustment is going to help him.

Joseph Herron

Thanks for listening, Hidalgo.

I agree with your comments on James Gogue…that’s why I always introduce Gogue as one of the best kept secrets in boxing. He is not only a trainer, but manager of several fighters. Aside from the late, great Emanuel Steward, James is probably has the most all-around knowledge of the boxing industry…everything from conditioning a fighter to signing a promotional contract.

If you noticed, I also brought up the factor that Mike Alvarado is training in Denver, CO, which could be a good or bad thing in this match-up.

As far as his conditioning, it’s a great thing. But, Mike often suffers from a lack of focus and discipline, which usually spells disaster when fighting in your hometown.

It’s going to be very interesting to see which version of Mile High Mike shows up on Saturday night!!

I can’t wait!!

Joseph, originally I favored Provodnikov to beat Alvarado in their upcoming fight. But on your show last night, Gogue said something very interesting. The fight is going to held at an elevation of about 5,000ft. Provodnikov has been training at sea level for this fight. Without training at altitude, he’s very likely to poop out half way through the fight.

So a couple of questions for you Joseph:

1. Has Provodnikov only been training at sea level?
2. Where has Alvarado been training? (I though Gogue said Los Angeles)

BTW, another great show. James Gogue is really very insightful

Spartacus, I didn’t notice anything from Bradley’s speech that deviated from the norm…but, you can ask Joel Diaz, Bradley’s trainer, tomorrow night on “The Pugilist KOrner” if you woud like…718-506-1506…he kicks off the show at approximately 9PM EST/6PM PST.

We will also be featuring Bryant Jennings and Dimitrius Andrade as well on tomorrow night’s two hour program.

Should be a great one!!

My friend Joseph, now THAT WOULD BE SOME CARD!! Early christmas gift and New Years as a matter of fact. Good stuff my friend. Question, is it just me or is Bradley already beginning to slur his words just a bit?

Im also a bit skeptical about Bob Arum guide his career. Why? Arum has a tendency to in.my view short change his fighters development in exchange for the big bucks. He tends to put his star attractions in with two bit no hopers for high reward but it akso has a Flipside. The star fighter gets complacent and is doing nothing to keep his skills sharp when he does have a real challenge from an elite fighter. Just my humble opinion. Cheers.

Hi Joseph. Okay to be frank with you im not too excited yet with Lomancheko. Good fighter. He has improved his footwork which is a plus. Beating Solida woukd be no big deal simplt because I never rated Cruz, whom he beat very highly. Also Solido has a poor defense. Lomancheko would habe his way with Solido . I like his energy, physicality and he has above average punching power. Still I want to see hiw he reacts to taking a real solid shot and an opponent who gives him angles and can take his firepower. I see very good potential and his extensive amateur career is very impressive. Does that translate into success against as Tark said against the likes of a Rigo? The jury is still out. Cheers.

I was thoroughly impressed with Lomachenko’s footwork and agility on Saturday night.

I mentioned on the show that he should make Salido look like he’s stuck in mud.

Looking forward to seeing how two knowledgable boxing men like Trampler and Arum guide this kid’s career!! Should be fun for the fans.

You’re right on the money with your views on all three fighters, TARK.

Your posts as well, Spartacus!!

Very insightful and heartfelt.

TARK

When Donaire spun Rigondeaux around, switched to a southpaw stance, and floored Rigo with that straight left??? That was a thing of beauty. Rigon probably has spent some time observing just how ND created that opening.

Posted October 14, 2013 3:26 pm

TARK

Herron.., As to your question, Lomachenko would destroy Salido. He would finish him off in a few rounds, much like Mikey Garcia did. Salido is just too available to be hit and Lomachenko isn’t.

Does that mean Lomachenko will soon be ready for Rigondeaux??? No. Rigo has fully acclimated to the 12-round pro game, the smaller gloves, and boxing without a headgear on. Lomachenko needs 8 to 10 fights minimum, and the right fights. He can do that in a year if he really cranks out the fights.

You can get 4 excellent sparring partners and box 12 fast rounds with them… That’s great for your endurance. It’s not the same as a 12-round fight with someone like Nonito Donaire. Fights like that are invaluable for teaching Rigondeaux just how deep the arsenal of a great professional can be.

Good day Joseph. Enjoyed your posts as well as Tarks earlier. Excellent insight from you both. Give you my take on the possibility of the Solido/Lamencheko bout a bit later. Have to run some errands my friend. Cheers once again for keeping it classy.

(?) Perfectly on point my friend. A lot of posts comment in my view under the guise of nationalism but in reality its only just that, a guise. I’ve always said nationalism left unchecked could cross over into ugly waters(racism) very easily. Hence why I don’t adhere to that philosophy of nationalism. Just my personal take on that. Just reading some of these posts illustrates my piont. Thank you (?) for your commentary my friend. Cheers and good health.

What do you guys think of Vasyl Lomachenko’s chances of defeating Orlando Salido?

On last night’s program, I gave my opinion of the Ukrainian sharpshooter and talked about future match-ups with Nonito Donaire and Guillermo Rigondeaux.

What do you guys think?

Goodafternoon. Mr.Herron and Mr.Tark spoke very well. I must agree with Joseph in that racism byand large still exists to a certain extent more than one would care to admit. While I ahree with Tark that our fine President Mr.Obama was elected twice, thank God by the way, most people still have some aspevts of race consciousness about them. They simply will not admit it and will go to great lengths to hide it. Most people voted for President Obama bevause the alternative was a disaster in waiting. I digress. Not most people but a significant number who would have done otherwise had there been another alternative besides Romney. There is indeed progress and I am very pleased to see that indeed people are becoming more and more enlightened so to speak. More and more interracial marriages are taking plave and the complexion of the country is shifting. As it should. We are all oneunder Jehovah Gods u

Enema’s just pissed that he gulped down all of those man-jizz shakes in solidarity with Cruz only to watch another A-list Putoriqueno be KTFO by a B-list Mexicano.. But Enema isn’t giving up hope and plans to continue Cruz’s rainbow workout regimen..
