BTW, I’m a big fan of the hispanic butterbean as well…he has deceptive hand speed and is one of the few heavyweight fighters who throw well in combination.

I would love to see Andy in either one of those two match-ups…I just love to watch the rotund man fight…he’s got some skills!!

Great to hear from you, Gary!!

I’m glad you had a chance to listen in this week…I was thoroughly impressed with Bryant’s confidence and enthusiasm.

I couldn’t agree with you more concerning a universal boxing commissioner to act as mediator for the networks and promoters.

It’s happened before in the past…remember the good old days in American football when the NFL and AFL merged to find out who the better conference what was deemed a superbowl? Why couldn’t we do that in boxing?

We could and I think we eventually will, once managers, networks, promoters, and fight fans start realizing that a loss at the elite level is no big deal.

The fighters are the only fearless ones in boxing!! If the sport were left up to the fighters, we would have unification bouts all of the time. They truly are courageous!!

Thanks again, Gary!! Always great to hear from an old friend!!

Great show Joe – Having Bryant Jennings on was a real treat. With his old school work ethic I can see him stepping up to the real tests in America (Wilder) but pitted vs my favorite Heavy, Andy Ruiz Jr. how can you see that unfolding? Jennings is nimble, swift, has excellent vision and proves that he can mix up his tempo and power but Andy is just so good at finding guys with that Latino jab. He marks the target with smoke and then the bombers arrive!

Joel Diaz says it best “We can’t see the fights we want because the promoters have issues.” HBO, Showtime, Top Rank and Golden Boy need a proper mediator to work out these issues and bring fans the matches they deserve. The fighters themselves can express their reasons for not being compelled to sign on for particular missions but this parallel universe situation is going to be one of the most shameful eras in Boxing’s history. For a boxer to say he’s not going to fight a guy because they have a true friendship or are related in some way is understandable but not being able to even talk about prospective matches due to the suits not getting along is disheartening.

Really….

Scully? You must be out your mind to put this self proclaiming mutt out here again. Contender; what a joke, Trainer; bigger joke. Tell me how many trainers period, have had their 2 best fighters quit in the ring in title fights. I can only think one – Scully. Have your boots on boxing fans for this one. The you know what is going to fly. I really can`t believe this mutt is even able to hold his head up at all. After what he did to his fighters and got run out of CT because he was perceived as a joke. We are glad FL has him now. His BULL is new to them for now but he will wear out his welcome there as well. Scully? really…..
