People are a bit too quick to dismiss Framptons chances against the Big Three…Donnaire, Santa Cruz, Rigo.
He is not a no hoper by any means in some or all of these fights. These guys are very good I know, but so is Carl. They have had off nights, looked human, looked vulnerable etc at times.
Carl is well rounded, mentally and physically fit, smart, skilled, tough and has power in both hands.
You know your stuff, so I guess you know about Mitchell Smith at 130. Still early days for the lad but he’s one heck of a talent. Remains to be seen if he can live up to his big potential. But he’s one to watch out for in the future.
Khal Yafai at 115 is damn good too but like Mitchell it’s still early days for him but he looks very good.
Those are the two in the UK to keep an eye on for the future. Both very skillful and they both have KO power. Time will tell.Posted October 21, 2013 2:07 am
Lefhook…Your right Frampton already beat a world belt holder. And if he faces him again for the IBO belt he will stop him again.Frampton is still young, with loads of skills…hes the real deal…BET ON IT!!!Posted October 20, 2013 5:49 pm

Frampton vs Quigg with British, EBU & Commonwealth titles on the line should have happened last year. UK wise Kid Gallahad is also in the equation now! 122Lb is looking hot!!………….Posted October 20, 2013 4:13 pm
I can’t believe I’m saying this but hear go’s,I agree with c-unt Collins.Quigg next just to give the uk fans a fight that’s been boiling nicely before people lose interest.Niether Quigg or Frampton have a chance against rigondeaux,Cruz or Donarie IMO.Posted October 20, 2013 3:12 pm
billy muslim boy, sorry to hear they shut your kebab shop down.Posted October 20, 2013 3:03 pm
The writer is spot on. Everything he wrote is true. Whats the problem? Explain what was not true. People who are unknowledgeable in boxing only have a problem. Please explain what was unfair??Posted October 20, 2013 2:53 pm
Rigo number 1 until proven otherwise, but a Carl win over Rigo is not out of the question – Carl is well rounded with power in both hands. Remember Cordoba, a good boxer but feather fisted gave Rigo lots of trouble.Posted October 20, 2013 2:31 pm
BILLY NO MEDALS ALL AMERICAN BOY
wel done carl!!!are you ok BRUCE the W@NKER??????Posted October 20, 2013 12:37 pm
Wtf is Michael Collins’ problem?Posted October 20, 2013 12:06 pm
Santa Cruz is also unbeaten and one hell of a fighter. I still take Rigondeax to beat him if they ever meet but Santa Cruz is the one fighter who could beat Rigondeaux.
Carl Frampton is okay, but not that great, wait and see, he’ll get KO’d sooner or later. Rigondeaux, Donaire, and Santa Cruz, would all KO him for sure.Posted October 20, 2013 11:53 am
Parodi was a bum end of.. Frampton not faced anyone that can fight back.. total hype job still yet everyone kissing the midgets a**Posted October 20, 2013 9:56 am
Mickthemarmaliser… Your prob right, Frampton might just cause a major shock v Riggo! he’s certainly got a lot going for himself, don’t forget hi also has a good amateur backround as wellPosted October 20, 2013 9:24 am

lefhook: Yes Frampton did indeed clobber IBF titlist Kiko Martinez, which is why I have him as a 75% favourite when they meet for the IBF super-bantamweight title. Also in the equation is WBC title holder Santa Cruz. However as I stated Rigo is the #1 @ 122Lb & until he’s beaten will remain so & all other title claimant’s shall remain just that. “TITLE CLAIMENT’S, NOT WORLD CHAMPIONS”!!………Posted October 20, 2013 8:52 am
Did Frampton not knock out Martinez in his last fight! and is Martinez not a current title holder! so he’s not faced anyone yet??? I know who the fools are lmaoPosted October 20, 2013 7:47 am
Didn’t even look at who penned this article beforehand but after last couple of lines I immediately thought has to be that michael Collins wanker…clueless or just tryin to be a wanker? I’m undecided…frampton was unreal Lasnite and would destroy quigg…why Wudnt he fight Martinez next and take belt? Agree that rigondeaux will be a step too far in all likelihood but that’s case for all other fighters…can’t see that happening…frampton will take belt have 2 or 3 defences and then move upPosted October 20, 2013 6:42 am
Loeofbread you’re an idiot …….Posted October 20, 2013 5:55 am
Loefhook – he is ranked 4 in boxrec and doesnt hold any of the major recognisable belts, not that that they mean much, but still, you would have to beat a current champion to get one and he hasnt…Posted October 20, 2013 4:44 am
The idiot who composed this ”article” is errrm, an idiot!Posted October 20, 2013 4:19 am
Michael Collins will get kneecapped if he is not careful.Posted October 20, 2013 2:12 am
agree with most of what you say Tark except calling collins a pundit, he’s more like a pundtit, or a complete and utter c@ntPosted October 20, 2013 1:55 am
you’re such a vagina collinsPosted October 20, 2013 1:52 am
white is right
Always nice to see good white talent.Posted October 19, 2013 10:54 pm
Frampton can take on Lomanchenko after he wins a World title against Martinez in his 2nd Pro fight.Posted October 19, 2013 10:18 pm
This pundit says.., “Don’t hold your breath waiting for Carl Frampton to fight WBC super bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz or WBA/WBO chap Guillermo Rigondeaux — because those guys would likely beat Frampton effortlessly.”
You’re putting Santa Cruz on a par with Rigondeaux??? Don’t be an ignoramus.. Carl would beat Santa Cruz if they fought next.
Carl is not going to beat Rigondeaux for the next 3 or 4 years — on the other had their first fight won’t be effortless for Rigondeaux if it happens in a year or two… It would likely be a tough 12-round struggle because Frampton is no ordinary world champion … He’s a great fighter.Posted October 19, 2013 9:42 pm
Frampton has already beat the World Champion.Posted October 19, 2013 9:37 pm
Don’t be silly, Frampton and Quigg would get KO’d by Santa Cruz easily. It would be a walk over. Neither Frampton or Quigg could last 6 rounds with Santa Cruz.Posted October 19, 2013 9:34 pm
Hookof the jab.. Do any of those guys hold a world belt at present???Posted October 19, 2013 7:23 pm
Lman… He knocked the world champion out!! what you mean he hasn’t faced anyone yet?Posted October 19, 2013 7:22 pm
Framton looked great tonight this just shows he is ready for bigger competition. Quigg would be as great fight and kiko would be an easy way to win a world title.Posted October 19, 2013 7:10 pm
its a talent rich division and Carl has been ranked fairly high even though he hasnt really faced any elite guys yet…time to step it up, certainly like what he brings to the table and good fighter to watchPosted October 19, 2013 6:56 pm
Rigondeaux is far better than Carl Frampton. If Carl fights him, he’ll get demolished. It’s very doubtful that Frampton will ever beat Rigondeaux. The same applies to Leo Santa Cruz. Frampton would be hammered by Santa Cruz as well. The real fight I’d like to see is Rigondeaux v Santa Cruz. That would be very good. Good win for Carl Frampton but he’s a class or two below Rigondeux and Santa Cruz.Posted October 19, 2013 6:55 pm
Its easy to look “world class” against a third tier opponent …….Carl should be matched up against Vic Darch …….Mijares …Mathebula………Montiel …..these are the fights that should be made for Carl ………..Posted October 19, 2013 6:51 pm
Brilliant performance by Carl. Absolutely brilliant.
Wherever and Whenever…, Rigondeaux will be there.Posted October 19, 2013 6:37 pm
well done carl.Posted October 19, 2013 6:36 pm
Tark… Anyone in Belfast, i’d duck no one with this guy if I were McguiganPosted October 19, 2013 6:33 pm
dwc.. He’s got that hard as nials look also, just like Barrera n Morales had. He’s gona take a lot of stopping that’s for sure. I see titles at featherweight as well for thgis kid.Posted October 19, 2013 6:32 pm
OK.., This was easy.. Carl needs the ultimate challenge.
Frampton vs Rigondeaux…, It can be done in England… Just do it.Posted October 19, 2013 6:30 pm
Frampton is the real deal…plus he is still young, has years ahead of himself. This kid will cause alot of excitment, and be in some great fights.Overall a bright future awaits…Posted October 19, 2013 6:24 pm
Frampton looked real world class there tonight. Karen get the housework done ffs lolPosted October 19, 2013 6:21 pm
No way was that ludicrous.
It looked fixed
How can that fighter drop to a mid powerless shot of not much intent?
