Usual American Bias
Writer clearly is xenophobic, Stevenson has only fought 7 guys with ANY kind of winning record. The same record as Bellew. While Stevenson is a favourite that’s not a certainty.
Belittling and idiotic, what else would I expect from an American writer.Posted November 3, 2013 9:46 am
“Stevenson wouldn’t beat the top 5 super middleweights”
I think Superman beats all but Ward at 168. He was Froch’s mandatory. That was stolen away from him like cops swiping apples. He went to 175 to face Dawson — unlike our friend Andre.Posted October 24, 2013 8:11 pm
A warning – DON`T TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS FIGHT.
Bellew fans are iredeemable thieves, crack dealers and generally bounders.Posted October 24, 2013 5:33 pm
He’s a slouch and won’t give 100%. Everyone knows what’s going to happen. NOTHING
64/40 in your dreams.Posted October 24, 2013 2:55 pm
Mick the Marmalizer
Bellew will enter the ring a 60/40% underdog, but will give 100%. He’s no slouch & will fight his heart out!………..Posted October 24, 2013 1:24 pm
Bellew will lose, but he is a better fighter than Collinsflower is a writer, truth!Posted October 24, 2013 7:06 am
Bellew is a warrior

If any division need unification it’s light-heavyweight!
I hope Bellow goes in there and batters him, just to shut some people upPosted October 24, 2013 4:39 am
Overall its just a weak division, people rave on about kovalev, because of his destruction of cleverly…cleverly was one of the weakest champs I’ve ever seen, he wouldn’t even fight the mandatory EVO number 1′s lol he ducked anyone that had any power. Kovalev made it look easy because it was easy, simple as that. Stevenson is on a roll right now but he wouldn’t beat the top 5 super middleweights.Posted October 24, 2013 3:33 am
Another mismatch! It’s time for boxing fans to rebel against the crooked promoters who are destroying boxing!Posted October 24, 2013 12:28 am
Hopkins can`t beat anyone with a pulse any more. Chad Dawson beat him. That puts him squarely on the bumheap.
Who even cares, he is boring and he clearly isn`t the no 1,2 or 3 in the division.
Put him in diapers and get him out of here.Posted October 23, 2013 9:59 pm
Calzaghe bust up Hopkins on his home turf, true.Posted October 23, 2013 9:39 pm
Sad truth of it tark. What’s even worse is kovalev will be left to fight more nobodies to stay busy. SighPosted October 23, 2013 9:37 pm
Bernard can’t beat either of them… And Stevenson can’t beat Kovalev. There is no reason for Murat and Bellew to get shots at them before Kovalev
Everybody knows the outcome of those pathetic fights before they happen. These 2 guys couldn’t even beat a wide open, in-your-face, Calzaghe style, brawling Cleverly. They’re easy pickings. Title fights not worth watching. Unless you’re into muggings. Maybe in Hopkins’ case it won’t be a mugging. It’ll be a one-sided sparring session at best.Posted October 23, 2013 6:58 pm
Good luck tony believe in urself no fear box his ears offPosted October 23, 2013 6:44 pm
Tark. Bellow has fought a number of contenders to deserve a shot but who did kovlov and Stevenson exactally beat to get a shot?? Yes we all want kov vs Stevenson that is what this card is for as for Murat I agree he is a weak choice but after a few names in this division its pretty shallow. As for Hopkins who knows he is a very dull fighter to watch but the winner of kov and steveson would be interesting and really show how good hop isPosted October 23, 2013 5:26 pm
i just read where stevenson has refused to fight unless kovalev is kept 1000 yards from the ring during stevensons fightPosted October 23, 2013 5:02 pm
You’re a dummy
Kovalev sells a ton of tickets. He’s a boxer-puncher of the highest order. He’s extremely busy and goes after you with both hands. He clubs undefeated world champions into submission in short order, and travels to their backyard to do it. Bellew would get crushed by Kovalev and he’s an easy out.
That’s why he’s getting the shot. He’s soft and easy to beat.Posted October 23, 2013 4:49 pm
Relax, when the smoke clears then Kovalev will be King of the hill.Posted October 23, 2013 4:43 pm
Stevenson is a crude bum who beat a shot Dawson and a limited Cloud.
Kovalev cannot sell tickets.
This is good business.
Bellew will win in 8 roundsPosted October 23, 2013 4:31 pm
Mr Gav. “Bellew has done the rounds and deserves a chance.”
He doesn’t deserve a shot at Stevenson ahead of Kovalev.
Bellew lost to Cleverly. Murat lost to Cleverly too. He doesn’t deserve a shot at Hopkins ahead of Kovalev either. The best matchups should take precedence over easy paydays.
Kovalev is undefeated and smashed Cleverly in his backyard like he was a 4-round fighter. What does he have to do to get Hopkins and Stevenson to stop ducking and cherry-picking soft touches … and get into a ring with him?Posted October 23, 2013 4:26 pm
bellew would have a better chance playing russian roulette , and thats if stevenson’s gun is loaded and he is first to go.Posted October 23, 2013 4:25 pm
Bellow has done the rounds and deserves a chance at a world title so he is not “cherry picked”. I don’t think he will win and at best may give a reasonable account of himself. As for kovolvev his opponent is cherry picked as it was the best choice opponent for now. But this fight card is all about building a super fight between kov and Stevenson which may take a Mandatories or too so quit you moaning and open your brain if you knew any thing about boxing you would know this is the case. Both kov and Stevenson will get through easily and would be willing to fight each other.Posted October 23, 2013 3:09 pm
Stevenson and Kovalev both essentially have tuneups on this card. The B side rarely wins. Bellow won’t. Let’s hope they make the two A sides of this card fight each other next.Posted October 23, 2013 2:34 pm
“he only reason Stevenson is fighting a no hope guy like Bellew — is the same reason Hopkins is fighting a no hope guy like Murat
Because they would both be no hope guys if they fought Kovalev.” This.Posted October 23, 2013 2:08 pm
Damned right… I’m sick of fans accepting weak cherry-picked “mandatories.”
Promoters and orgs treat us like we were born yesterday.Posted October 23, 2013 1:58 pm

Bellow is a tough Hombre.Posted October 23, 2013 1:16 pm
i think both guys are mandatory defences, hence the reason to fight themPosted October 23, 2013 1:16 pm
Tony Bellew is a good fighter-he just isn’t going to be a world champion, methinks. Stevenson to ko/tko him.Posted October 23, 2013 1:15 pm
agree with tark . kovalev is the man to box at 175.Posted October 23, 2013 12:58 pm
Bellew won’t do crap… He’s a cherry-pick flat out.Posted October 23, 2013 12:46 pm
Bellew may surprise a few people, he’s a good fighter with decent power,
Go and dont come back “gray”
I’ve never seen your name before and you’ve never contributed crapPosted October 23, 2013 11:35 am
The only reason Stevenson is fighting a no hope guy like Bellew — is the same reason Hopkins is fighting a no hope guy like Murat
Because they would both be no hope guys if they fought Kovalev.
C’mon man… Didn’t Nathan Cleverly beat these guys? What ever became of the best fighting the best — instead of the worst?Posted October 23, 2013 11:04 am
flydog – i could not have put it better…. on both counts… Mr Collins & the game Mr Bellew.Posted October 23, 2013 11:00 am
The only thing Bellows has going for himself is his big mouth, he is just like Froch in this aspect , his mouth is always going while accusing the other man of running up his mouth.Posted October 23, 2013 9:55 am
I like Bellew and I think Mr.Collins is a clown of a writer but I can’t give Bellew much of a chance vs Stevenson who looks powerful and a league above anyone Bellew’s been near including Cleverley. I love Bellew’s attitude but he’s only an average skilled fighter with over-rated power. I think this ends quickly and painfully for Tony and I won’t enjoy it!!!Posted October 23, 2013 9:47 am
easy win for BellewPosted October 23, 2013 9:46 am
got beat by cleverly enough said.Posted October 23, 2013 9:27 am

I hope Stevenson beats Bellew.Posted October 23, 2013 8:54 am
Gotta agree 100% Bellew really has no chance. Will be very lucky if he sees the fourth round.Posted October 23, 2013 8:53 am
Bellew is a safety first fighter with an average KO record, only 12 KOs in something like 20 fights, so he’s not really a bomber. Expect a cautious Bellew. Stevenson will demolish him.Posted October 23, 2013 8:04 am
