Nobody has ever given Kovalev ANY beating.
Can’t say that about Superman and B-Hop. Bring them ON.Posted October 25, 2013 1:25 am
Anonymous has got the beat ! Calzaghe is a superior fighter than Scamkins. Dressy is in senile !Posted October 24, 2013 11:46 pm
Sredmond.., “NO ONE has ever given Nard a REAL beating.”
That’s why he won’t fight Kovalev. He doesn’t want to suffer a brutal one.Posted October 24, 2013 8:02 pm

Havoc, get that cataract surgery done. Hopkins is not like Mayweather at all. Hopkins fighting Floyd is a kill in the sport of boxing. This is the most dumbest statements on here.Posted October 24, 2013 7:09 pm
Anonymous , JC even did a fake corn hole on Bhops. That was pretty funny.Posted October 24, 2013 6:31 pm
Hopkins has more chance of beating Mayweather than Kovolev, and the thought of those two in the same ring is awful.

I’m so sick of this boring guyPosted October 24, 2013 3:15 pm
Kovalev is a speck in boxing history at this point, Bernard accomplished MORE at LHW than he has and the mans pushing 50… The notion that Hops has avoided ANYONE is some more of Tarks serious BS.. We have seen how heavy handed fighters fare against Nard and seriously how much cache would defeating a 48 year old man who is moving towards deaths door bring… You guys REALLY kill me trying to build these NEW fighters off of VERY little they are GONNA have to prove it… Lets see Kovalev wax a Jean Pascal or another relevant foe, a points win over Hopkins is pretty much a denunciation of his skills at this point… Nards SOOOOOOO old that if he is not being brutally taken out you have to question his opponent…Posted October 24, 2013 3:14 pm
Any poster saying “Calzaghe, Taylor or Chad Dawson” beat up Bernard Hopkins is simply speaking from emotion ABSENT a true grasp of boxing reality.. Chad Dawson got the CLEAREST win and he looked like hell after the bout while his OLDER opponent was unscathed as usual… NO ONE has ever given Nard a REAL beating… If they had you guys would not be sitting around with you undistended testicles discussing how he is “ducking 20 year olds” at the age of 48 pushing 49… Calzaghe was UTTERLY unimpressive against the 43 year old Hops and slapped his way to a VERY amateurish looking win… The guy who most cleanly outboxed Hopkins was a PEAK Roy Jones Jr who was simply unbeatable at that point in his career…Posted October 24, 2013 3:09 pm
That’s correct Aficionado.., Now Kovalev has a world title won in smashing fashion in an undefeated opponent’s backyard… Next job? Unify.
Next job for B-Hop and Superman… Kovalev avoidance.Posted October 24, 2013 2:50 pm
“Kovalev ducked Hopkins for Cleverly which was a smart move.” – As always BoxRetard is misinformed. Kovalev was Bhop’s mandatory but knew Bhop wouldn’t do it so he took the WBO title shot instead. Bhop’s press release saying he welcomed a fight with Kovalev came out hours before Kovalev’s fight was announced. Obv GBP knew that fight was already signed and sent out a press release to save face.Posted October 24, 2013 1:29 pm
Cognitor said it best about this legend fraud of Hopkins. Tark go back to sleep you old gheezer, including namelessnesss ….nessss. Hopkin is way overhyped and I find his comment about Robinson and Sugar Ray needs to have an apology.Posted October 24, 2013 7:58 am
Anonymouse- your an idiot….a 1sided idiot. Hopkins has 1more loss than ur boyfriend? Manny. B hop has way less dodgy decision wins than ur hero whoever….Posted October 24, 2013 6:45 am
Bernard Hopkins has many losses , he is far away to be legend … there are more fighters fighting after 40 , thats not enough and everybody hyped him how much he done in the sport which is not true !!Posted October 24, 2013 5:21 am
Bernard is the oldest guy to win a world title.. He’s broken that record twice.. He has a ton of records as middleweight champion.
Right now he’s milking it. He just enjoys the adulation and being in the spotlight. It’s something that’s very hard to let go of and B-Hop hasn’t been able quit. He loves being introduced as legendary ATG and all that stuff. How many guys get to experience that? It’s very hard to voluntarily remove yourself from that. Everyone has an ego.Posted October 24, 2013 1:20 am
Bernard Hopkins and Floyd Mayweather are masters of piling up points and utilizing the rules as they are under the Marquis de Queensbury. I liked Hopkins much less after seeing him becoming more of an actor than a fighter especially in the over acting he took from a Roy Jones groin shot. The shoulder injury he took from Chad Dawson was a real joke. The guy should be happy that wasn’t a street fight or Dawson would have crushed him. The guy talks like he’s a real tough ex convict but when the bell rings he throw his overhand right with his hands down and then he clinches and looks for the refs help as if it is the other guy’s fault. Sorry, Bernard Hopkins should have retired after he exposed Pavlik for what the latter really was, a very limited fighter with a punch.Posted October 24, 2013 12:26 am
B-Hop boxing skills is like Mayweathers style. It’s hard to get hurt and can last 30 rounds if the fight can go that long. They put no effort but more on running and blocking that is way they use little energy and they rely in points. This is boxing.Posted October 24, 2013 12:05 am
Nameless Hopkins once said he doesn’t believe in tipping waiters. Hop is a low form of life. Maybe the lowest.Posted October 23, 2013 11:22 pm
Hopkins 9 felonies over 30 convictions. Sred if you were Mexican decent would you defend Hopkins cause he hates Mexicans. How about whites hop hates whites too. Sred you defend this dirty ring Staller shows your no better than Hopkins but maybe worse !Posted October 23, 2013 11:20 pm

It is ok for Hopkins to fight, but what makes me not like him, is when he stated that he would fight Floyd at 160. Hopkins showed his jealousy to fight this man. Hopkins is very jealous of Floyd.Posted October 23, 2013 11:03 pm
“Worse than water boarding.”
If that doesn’t work B-Hop can do pushups.Posted October 23, 2013 10:17 pm
Taylor slapped that dirty old butt, Calzaghe gave it a whipping, hell even that walking KO Chad Dawson pi$$ed on him.
He isn`t really anything any more except some kooky old dessicated skeleton to be thrown out in the trash with Walkmans and Hammerpants.
I mean realistically, for all this bluster, there has for the entirety of Hopkins career been a guy fighting within 9lbs of his weight class that would whup him.Posted October 23, 2013 9:48 pm
A lot of you guys sound like C@NTS Hopkins is 48, basically a DEAD man in boxing years and you whine?? He fought Pascal 2x, Dawson 2x, Cloud, Pavlik, Tarver, and Calzaghe all in his 40′s…. Fighters like Stevenson and Kovalev are being bandied about as special?? They are not SH$$T compared to the career of BHop and if they get slim decisions over a 50 year old shame on them… Hops is a fcking legend end of story, easily one of the BEST MW’s in history and the GREATEST over 40 fighter ever… No man EVER put a real beating on Nard who continues to remain relevant.. You punks cannot even count on this Murat to put the stroke on a man born in the 1960′s…. ShamefulPosted October 23, 2013 9:35 pm
I will film this fight and use it to torture captured Taliban terrorists, while they listen to Mauro Ranello do bow-by-blow on Showtime. If that doesn’t not yield a confession, I will try Ishe Smith vs. Carlos Molina.
Worse than water boarding.Posted October 23, 2013 9:35 pm
Don’t obfuscate… This fight stinks. Murat is a 3rd rate cherry-pick flat out. Bernard hasn’t fought anyone since he lost to Dawson. Fight the best or retire.Posted October 23, 2013 9:18 pm
Just got done watching Cleverly and Murat go at it and Murat showed some guts in there fighting all the way. Im hoping he can compete in there and get some leather on Hopkins in there.Posted October 23, 2013 9:02 pm

People saying how great or this ” sog ” about Hopkins or Legend are so close minded. Here a fighter that punches what 20 or maybe 30 punches a round and hugs his way to a win. Suckers paying money to see this fraud are down right fools. Who in there right mind pays to see this BORING fighter ????????Posted October 23, 2013 8:38 pm
Hopkins is and always has been a BS artist. His fans believe any crap that comes out of his mouth. He talks so much BS it’s untrue. Remember that this is a person promised his dying mother that he’d hang up his gloves forever when he reached 40 years of age.
Hopkins tried to make out like Kovalev ducked him but it was all BS. He has a history of doing this. Listen to what Kathy Duva had to say about it. She’s infinitely more trustworthy and genuine than Hopkins ever was.

Kovalev didn’t duck him.. Ask John David Jackson.. Kovalev wants to fight Bernard very badly and always did. He also wants Stevenson who is a better fighter than Hopkins right now. He wants all the titles at 175 but often politics prevents these fights from happening.
When you’re a “World Champion” you can duck the best opponents at your weight and fight your weak mandatories.. These orgs are pretty damned flagrant about it..
Sometimes their ratings go: 1. Not rated… 2. Not rated… 3. not rated… 4. Mandatory challenger who’s not rated anywhere by the other orgs.Posted October 23, 2013 7:54 pm
Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)
Kovalev certainly did NOT duck Popkins. He called him out after he smashed White and Popkins responded with silience, so his team moved forward and scheduled a fight with Cleverly to go take his belt. Krusher is a stay-busy fighter, so he’s not about to wait around for weeks and months for Popkins, or anyone else, to accept a challenge.
And if you think that Kovalev is going to duck Popkins anytime in the future, you’re sadly mistaken and will definitely end up eating your words. Krusher desperately wants his title/strap along with Adonis’ titles/straps — make no mistake about it. Real talk.Posted October 23, 2013 7:23 pm
Kovalev ducked Hopkins for Cleverly which was a smart move. He’s BETTER than Hopkins but it does not erase the FACT that he ducked him.Posted October 23, 2013 7:12 pm

This is rediculous, Bernard needs to fight either koverlev or Stevenson and then he can start talking his self obsessive bs…. Murat for gods sake, yeah fine defend your title but please stop this self admiration. At least stop the obvious HRT and allow the VADA to test you and your mates, Floyd and Ward.
bopkins is a legend in his own mind.Posted October 23, 2013 5:11 pm
These fighters NOT taking out and badly abusing a 48 year old opponent deserve 0000000 sympathy for their weaknesss and failures.. Hopkins is ANCIENT in any sport with the possible exception of Golf…If a prime age boxer cannot overpower and defeat this man then we can only respect the Grandpa for NOT yielding to his opponent or time..Posted October 23, 2013 4:56 pm
Brandon, if Bernard ever fails to make you sleep, try watching WK, that will kill you for sure.Posted October 23, 2013 4:36 pm

I like Hopkins, I always did but at his age to stay in the game I must ask ” “Why ?” He was Great and I’ll never forget what he did to Trinidad and Pavlik,, the Pavlik fight was simply sensational, he school’d the guy. Those were his best years… Now, for me to still have the same admiration for him as a fighter he’s going to have to do something remarkable. AND watching him in his last few fights, it seems he’s not the same guy as he was when he was younger… I’ll follow this upcoming fight but if he looks the way he looked in his past fights then it’s time to hang em up …. PEACE … Boxingdictionary.comPosted October 23, 2013 12:30 pm

Bernard can fight at 48, 55, 60 to 80. If all your going to do in the ring is clinch and hug and stall then you can prove to the world yes I can fight at any age with this kind of NON boxing. Bernard doesnt fight in there same as Ward THERE IS NO FIGHT WHEN THEY FIGHT.Posted October 23, 2013 11:22 am

Bernard Hopkins is the best world champion out there. 11 years reign record with 20 world title defences as the unified and undisputed middleweight champion of the world, 3-time light heavyweight champion of the world and titles won after age of 40. The oldest and 2nd oldest recognised world champion of all times. All boxers who have ever fought Hopkins have more or less been marked for the rest of there careers. Jermain Taylor, Joe Calzaghe, Winky Wright, Chad Dawson, Jean Pascal etc all was never the same fighter after have fought Hopkins. Roy Jones jr was not interested to fight his old rival again until 2010, 11 years after there 1st fight. Hopkins is an top all time great champion.Posted October 23, 2013 11:15 am
The reason Hopkins is fighting a no hope guy like Murat — is the same reason Stevenson is fighting a no hope guy like Bellew.
Because they would both be no hope guys is they fought Kovalev.
C’mon man… Didn’t Nathan Cleverly beat these guys? What ever became of the best fighting the best — instead of the worst?Posted October 23, 2013 11:01 am
