Burns is still the champion regardless of how unfair the decision was, and Beltran has to take the belt, IMO Beltran was far too cautious and SHOULD have stopped Burns, but he didn’t.
It’s make or break for Ricky I think, I wonder how he will adapt to having a titanium plate in his jaw? There must be a fear factor there. Conversely, Beltran knows just how tough Burns is, fighting for 10 rounds with a broken jaw is tough as nails, and that might have some psychological effect on Beltran
I really hope Burns can come back with a commanding performance, but he may not be the same.Posted October 26, 2013 3:53 pm
fair play to burns.Posted October 26, 2013 6:09 am
Burns was brave fighting on with a smashed jaw, he deserves respect (which Collinsturd will never give him), but he did also lose, so a rematch is fair!
Burns has got a good moral sat nav.Posted October 26, 2013 3:08 am
Good moral compass this Burns has. He knows it was a dubious decision with a lot of controversy and immediately gives Beltran a rematch to end the matter one way or another. Good on him.Posted October 25, 2013 6:19 pm
The very least Burns could of done is fight Beltran in his home town. Come on Ricky you were gifted the decision when we all saw Ray beat you and now you make him come back to Scotland. Shame on you.Posted October 25, 2013 4:15 pm
PEEBRAIN Shut the fook up!!Posted October 25, 2013 4:10 pm
Glad theres a rematch here its only fair.I belive Burns will be on top of his game…unless hes completely shot at this point..lets see…Posted October 25, 2013 12:56 pm
Unfortunately he has to go back to Burns home again and he cannot win a decision there. But it should be a decent payday if he doesn’t win by KOPosted October 25, 2013 11:38 am
Beltran could knock out burns after breaking his jaw after 2 rounds? So providing burns jaw problem is fixed how will he knock out burns without a broken jaw? This fight is the right thing to do no one likes wrong decisions can ruin both fighters careers. And burns was giving a gift ( taking in mind it was an American judge who scored his victory). As for burns he had 2 very bad performances so if he is to stay champion he must win consivingley. But my money Is in beltranPosted October 25, 2013 11:17 am
Expected nothing less from the Rickster,a top bloke,if the jaw holds up he’ll smash Beltran next timePosted October 25, 2013 11:00 am
Burns will dominate this time, he had his jaw broken early, obviously this affected his whole fight plan, I am actually surprised he went the whole fight with a fractured jaw.Posted October 25, 2013 10:45 am
