I am not saying MAIDANA will beat AB but this will be his first real test at 147 IMOPosted October 26, 2013 5:17 pm
I don’t like Broner either but to think that he is going to lose this fight easily is ridiculous, he is young enough to make major improvements and we will have to wait and see what happens come fight nite! He might just surprise,i want him to lose but we will see.Posted October 26, 2013 5:07 pm

so the landscape isn’t “completely” barren at the moment … LOL … it doesn’t echo your point, it just shows your total ignorance!! Crawford, Abril, Gamboa, Diaz, Beltran, Estrada, Shafikov, all of these guys are quality. You know fook all about boxing. I doubt you’ve ever even stepped into the ring, you’re full of crap.Posted October 26, 2013 4:25 pm

I like Broner but I really like the seriousness of Maidana and althugth
Now when Broner beats Maidana all these guys saying Maidana will win will either disappear or claim Maidana was cherrypicked and Broners win means nothing. Just like Floyd vs Canelo.Posted October 26, 2013 3:56 pm
You hit the nail on the head with that one. Power and greed indeed.Posted October 26, 2013 3:56 pm
Crawford is dangerous. He does have a lot of potential, and I would certainly not discount him. I hope some of these fights are made so that we can enjoy these highly skilled boxers compete against each other. The promoters and organizations really make it difficult to see potentially great fights. Power, and greed are what they’re after. I hope some of these potentially great fights happen.Posted October 26, 2013 3:33 pm
Pointing out that is one possibly elite fighter (hasn’t proven anything yet) just kinda echoes my point. The amount of talent from 147-140 is as rich as one could ask. I mean unless you wanna include burns in that discussion…then yea it’s pretty barren bud. Bronner could easily avoid Crawford and nobody would even notice.Posted October 26, 2013 2:59 pm
I think Bradley’s defense is better than your giving credit to. All in all that was pretty thoroughly well put together analysis, but Im going to have to, agree to disagree in regards to Bradley and Floyd. While Floyd is on the decline slowly if they got into the ring tomorrow it really would be not be close. The speed of Bronner is down at 147. He doesn’t have the pop at 147 either. Floyd is going to bring plan a and plan b. Then adjust more so as needed. That is his biggest asset and bronners biggest flaw. Maybe 2 years from now if Bronner learns to cut off the ring, and Floyd’s reflexes slow. As for Bradley we both know Bronner doesn’t have the power of Provo or Pac. While He may hit Tim with ease he isn’t going to bother Tim. Bradley gets a lot of love from the judges just for activity. We both know the Pac fight was a robbery, but that’s how he got the decision. By punching air lol but that’s been knocked around enough. I can see Bronner not being active enough to get the decision. I guess time will tell. Nonetheless gonna say thanks for being in-depth in your opinions. Makes the discussion more worthwhilePosted October 26, 2013 2:54 pm
REAL OAK….I am saying do not over look Maidana. If Broner thinks he can play with this kid and have an easy night he could wake up from a brutal KO while Maidana is riding in a limo with a nice glass of bubbles and a big W next to his name. Maidana is tough as nails.
RUN AND TELL THAT…..HOMEBOY……lolPosted October 26, 2013 2:42 pm
“Unless he (Broner) scampers back to 135 where the landscape is completely barren at the moment”
Really??? Terence Crawford absolutely wipes the floor with Broner easily. Crawford is a brilliant boxer far better than Broner.
Crawford is the best at 135 and when he moves up he’ll be the best at 140 as well.Posted October 26, 2013 2:32 pm
This should be very good… I think Maidana takes this one. Broner is nowhere near as talented as Mayweather… Broner got hit a lot by Malignaggi. He would just stand still while Malignaggie landed combinations. However, Broner does have power and that could make a difference. The problem is that Maidana can take power well. We’ll find out if Broner can take the big shots himself. If he can, then this could be a really good fight.Posted October 26, 2013 1:37 pm
No way does Broner beat Floyd. His foot work will not allow that. I have yet to see Broner box, maybe it is because he has not had to but he will against Madaina. If he does not have good foot work then Floyd beats him easily. Bradley also, Bradley moves to much for Broner and I think he would be Broner. That would be too much too soon for Broner in the caliber of fighter Bradley is. Marquez would be a good fight and probably a winnable fight if Marquez does not retire. Garcia, I am not picking against him anymore unless it is against Floyd. He does have good boxing skills and he showed that his last fight. I would pick Garcia over Broner also.Posted October 26, 2013 12:27 pm
Mayweather 86 my friend, I do see a lot of physical talent in Broner. I don’t like the foolish things he says and does. I would like to see someone give him a good beating. Having said that, IMO, he has the speed, reflexes, athleticism and the supreme confidence that makes him believe he can beat anyone. Ponce De Leon is a tough match up for anyone. He has a very unique south paw style that can confuse anyone, and he did give Broner trouble.
Marquez is too old and has problems with boxers and speed. I think Broner simply has too much of both, and would beat him fairly easy. Bradley couldn’t miss JMM with the jab all night.
Garcia is a good boxer that is always underestimated. He has good boxing skills, a big heart and can punch. Once again, I think Broners style of fighting, which includes speed, athleticism and counter punching beats Garcia. He’s too fast, and I think he can hurt Garcia only because garcia I think would come straight at Broner. I don’t think Garcia thinks he can out box him.
Bradley is another guy that is durable, well conditioned and comes to fight. He has excellent boxing skills, and other than the Pacquiao fight, he’s won them all. I think this would be one of Broner’s easiest fights. Bradley’s style would be perfect for Broner because he’s going to eventually come straight at Broner after a few rounds. There’s no way Bradley would think he could out box Broner. Broner would nail him with jabs, uppercuts, and would beat him up. Broner is much bigger. I think Broner would have a field day landing on Bradley. Bradley will run into too many punches.
Broner will beat Floyd. It’s his youth and speed that will beat Floyd. They may hang out together, but Broner is studying Floyd like a book. Once again, speed is the one element that can change things in a hurry. Broner wants to take over the big show, and this opportunity is one that he would take advantage of. He matches Floyd in all areas except experience, but by the time they fight if they ever fight, Floyd just won’t be the same guy. Canelo didn’t have the speed, too flat footed and needs a stationery target to look good. Floyd dominates that style. Broner will be with him step for step, and eventually his youth, speed and his confidence will earn him a victory.
Broner is still very young. He’s learning each and every fight, and has not been beaten. He’s a 3 time champion, and he’s not always looked great against everyone, but he’s gaining valuable experience. He will fight you toe to toe, he will counter you or he will box you. He’s not quite there just yet, but if he stays on the right path, I think he can get there. Broner puts punches together well when he begins to find openings. His conditioning is always great, so he’s doing something right. I would love to see these fights take place, and then we can find out just how good he is. Can he be a great one or another flash in the pan. I think the first.Posted October 26, 2013 12:18 pm
It’s only a matter of time. To much talent around him. Unless he scampers back to 135 where the landscape is completely barren at the momentPosted October 26, 2013 11:14 am

THE REAL AMERICAN OAK
“Broner has nothing. NOTHiNG…….. He has zip. except a big fcking mouth.”
One thing I noticed is, he has his mouth open, both when he punches and when he attempts to defend against punches, which means if you can land, you have a good chance to BREAK his yapping jaw!

WHAT DID YOU SAY HERE BUSTAJAY? Are you for Maidana or Bonehead?Posted October 26, 2013 9:23 am
THE REAL AMERICAN OAK
Broner has nothing. NOTHiNG. He has been beaten twice and has no self discipline. I wish Ruslan would fight him but then he would get annihilated. Maidana will beat him enough. Bonehead is slow and plodding. He has zip. except a big fyucking mouth.Posted October 26, 2013 9:21 am
Hecdog. Man there are times when u are really on. This is not one of them. You’re correct that Manny would beat bummer. I’ll take it further. I doubt he makes it past 6 rounds with Pac. I’m not really sure what u see in bummer but it baffles me. I would but the “fighting personal” argument had I not already witness him lay an egg against ponce. He’s going to beat maidana but only because Marcos lacks any real skill. Bronner has terrible footwork and a very poor ring iq. He can’t dissect what’s happening in front of him, nor can he adjust to it. Not to mention his version of the shoulder roll is just plain bad. At least 5 times during paulie fight he rolled the wrong way. That’s ridiculous. He struggles against Marquez and Garcia. Bradley beats him, Floyd would seriously embarrass him into retirement. And Pac. As I said above. Completely demolish him. I’m sorry man Bronner is not what u think he is.Posted October 26, 2013 3:20 am
Maidana is so predicable, he need to learn to mix it up,he alway loading up, set him up.
If Maidana can break out of the first dimension, he will have a shot at beating Broner. I think Broner will keep Maidana, one dimensional..Posted October 26, 2013 1:54 am
I like Maidana for this.Posted October 26, 2013 12:54 am
Broner can’t lose a fight in Vegas period! If the fight comes to a decision, Broner’s judges will have the fight scored for him. The ref will probably help Broner.Posted October 26, 2013 12:50 am
Maidana by KO.Posted October 26, 2013 12:12 am
Is like broner said. He didn’t HAVE to use his feet against pauly because pauly couldn’t hurt him. In the fight against Miadana he will show his speed defense and counter punching. BUT I still think this will be a tough fight because Miadana hads shown alot of improvement under garcia specifically his new busy jab.Posted October 26, 2013 12:02 am
Maidana by KO.Posted October 25, 2013 11:12 pm
Broner will get shown up, he could not beat up Malinaggi, should of beat him easy.Posted October 25, 2013 11:11 pm
You look pass Maidana and you wake up looking foolish…..run and tell dat…..HOMEBOYPosted October 25, 2013 10:56 pm
Ok so he said it but he is under Garcia as is Maidana.
I would like to see Maidana take this but fact is AB will take my guy apart in the deep rounds but if Broner slips up, well Maidana could land the JMM power shot of the year. You can never underestimate the heart of a warrior like the Maddog Maidana.Posted October 25, 2013 10:50 pm
If Maidana lets Broner fight on the outside so he can use his superior boxing skills, Broner wins easily.
But if Maidana gets in close, and fast, and makes it a rough brawl, Maidana stands a great chance of knocking Broner out because he has brutal KO power. That’s his ONLY chance. Maidana has to get in close every single minute of the fight and rough Broner up and make it a street fight with a very high punch output.Posted October 25, 2013 10:04 pm
It is up to Maidana how this fight goes, not Broner.Posted October 25, 2013 9:17 pm
Hidalgo- I have to disagree. I think Broner has a lot more power and much better defense (not to mention a chin) than Khan. He’s also a better body puncher, which is how Khan hurt Maidana.Posted October 25, 2013 9:02 pm
Maidana v Broner,
there are a lot of good fights for broner at 140.Posted October 25, 2013 7:52 pm
Maidana is slow but dangerous.Posted October 25, 2013 7:14 pm
Maidana should have a good chance to beat Broner, unless it is some kind of set upPosted October 25, 2013 6:24 pm
Don’t sleep on maidana.Posted October 25, 2013 6:19 pm
Broner is the most dislikeable character in boxing at the moment. He was shown up for the fraudulent hype job he is vs Malignaggi. Wouldn’t be surprised if Maidana KO him quick.Posted October 25, 2013 6:15 pm
As much as I’d like to cheer for Maidana, the reality is that Broner is the better boxer of the two and will be taking Maidana apart from the outside. I do wish I’m wrong, as I’d like to see Broner laying on the convas…but I doubt it.Posted October 25, 2013 6:07 pm
Broner is not going to fight Maidana the same way he fought Malignaggi. If he does, he’ll be lying flat on his back by the 6th round.
On the other hand, Maidana has shown marked improvement in his technical boxing skills since hiring Robert Garcia as his trainer. Maidana is hardly “tailor-made” for Broner. Broner has no more power or handspeed than Amir Khan yet Maidana nearly took Khan out. If he finds Broner’s chin, Broner will also be doing the funky chicken.
And, Maidana is no Antonio Demarco. Maidana can take what he dishes out and then some. De Leon is no speedster boxer but Broner had plenty of problems with him.
Maidana will be a very stiff welterweight test for Broner.Posted October 25, 2013 5:58 pm
EZ E! Que pasa hermano. You might get your wish. The one thing Maidana has going for him is that he only needs one. Broner seems to have a good beard on him, but he also gets careless.Posted October 25, 2013 5:29 pm
Broner is trash.Posted October 25, 2013 5:12 pm
Broner is all hype.Posted October 25, 2013 5:11 pm

Broner needs to bring more to the table than what he did against Paulie to win. Not sure if he canPosted October 25, 2013 4:26 pm
“The only guy that beats him today is Manny Pacquiao, no one else”
Utter crap! At 154 Broner gets battered by GGG if he wants to move down a weight, and Peter Qullin, both would utterly destroy Broner. It wouldn’t even last 6 rounds.
Broner is going to KO’d sooner or later. And the sooner the better. He’s trash.Posted October 25, 2013 3:53 pm
PEEBRAIN how many times do I have to tell you, SHUT THE FOOK UP! You’re too stupid to leave comments about boxing.Posted October 25, 2013 3:46 pm
MJB, Broner seemed to be fighting a very emotional fight. He made it too personal and was trying to hard to try and knock him out. Malignaggi really doesn’t offer anything but pillow punches, and Broner did have some problems with trying to catch up to a guy that was running away all night. If they ever fought again, broner would knock the pillow puncher out fairly easy. Maidana is a total different fight. He’s going to come right at Broner, and Broner should be able to shine bright. Maidana is tough as nails and he will fight Broner all night, but he’s way to slow and flat footed to present any real problem. Maidana will be stopped for the firt time in his career. This fight will put Broner on top and will have fans recognizing him as one of the best out there. Don’t get me wrong, Maidana will be in the fight, but he’s going to get hit often and Broner will look like a young Ali or Sugar Ray Leonard. I’m anxious to see the fight.Posted October 25, 2013 3:22 pm
yes maidana may be picked for broner to look good.. but if your not the real deal maidana will eat you for breakfast!Posted October 25, 2013 2:52 pm

He should want to stop the solid jawed Maidana. Get out ya gangsta bubble Broner and put on a show. If it goes to points it’s a toss up.Posted October 25, 2013 2:24 pm
Broner is all hype BUT he plays the part that everyone loves to see loud, trash talking, money flashing, ignorant who was givin everything in the sport!Posted October 25, 2013 2:18 pm
Rios better be concerned about pacman. If afraid broner will box circles around maidana!Posted October 25, 2013 2:10 pm

I’d love for Maidana to fix Broner’s face, butttttt that just ain’t gonna happen.Posted October 25, 2013 1:43 pm
Hecdog, why did he struggle so much against Malignaggi? Even Khan battered him.Posted October 25, 2013 1:39 pm
SRMINIMO I’ve been saying the same since this fight was announced. The too slow Maidana is the perfect ‘name’ opponent for Broner’s resume, make look good and HYPE! That’s basically what this fight all about. Sure Maidana will give him earn his “W” but it’s gonna be a UD for Broner BUT.. wouldn’t mind seeing the kid knocked flat on his back.Posted October 25, 2013 1:38 pm
Rios is delirious. Adrien Broner will destroy Maidana. He has all the advantages (speed, power, athleticism, boxing skills). He beats him in all areas. Maidana is nothing more than a strong puncher that has good endurance and a big fighting heart. Those qualities will take you far, but when you fight a guy with those skills plus those I mentioned that Broner has, your chances of winning aren’t very good. Broner has heart. He believes he’s the best around and trains like a true professional for a fight. He may act and behave like a fool, but he takes his career serious. I previously said that Broner will be one of the best ever if he stays clean outside the ring. His rapping and messing around with money and women will be his downfall if he doesn’t straighten out, otherwise, no one beats him. Not Floyd, Garcia, Mathysse, Maidana, Bradley, Provodnikov or anyone else from 140-154. He’s that talented. You may dislike Broner, but trust me he has more pure talent than any other boxer out there. And I don’t care for the guy, but he is the real deal. The only guy that beats him today is Manny Pacquiao, no one ele.Posted October 25, 2013 1:36 pm
If Broner fights like he did against DeLeon and Paulie the Madaina winsPosted October 25, 2013 1:21 pm
Broner isnt all he was put up to be…but will pick apart the slower Maidana.Posted October 25, 2013 1:13 pm
Of course Ríos is going to sat that, they’re stable mates, but Maidana is taylor made for Broner to look good. He has too much trouble with speed,as Alexander showed. I do agree that Broner is not anyewhere close to being as gifted defensively as Floyd, but the Malinaggi fight is a bad example of what’s going to happen here. Paulie has a good jab, made Vroner come looking for him and landed the rich more as a deterrent. Maidana is throwing bombs and there’s nothing cute about him. I don’t know that Broner has the power at 147 to put Maidana away, but he’ll shred him to pieces.Posted October 25, 2013 12:50 pm
