Da UnKnown Comic
I found out the real story. Rosado and Curtis Stevens are lovers. Golovkin fights Stevens next week and they want to give Stevens an excuse for when he hits the canvas. Mark my words. Stevens uses the same excuse next week.Posted October 26, 2013 7:35 pm
“Maybe they should have a bare-knuckled rematch just to make sure.”
Now I would REALLY pay to see that!!! Great idea. And no rounds either.Posted October 26, 2013 2:42 pm
I’m sure Golvokin would have kicked his ass even worse without any gloves on. Maybe they should have a bare-knuckled rematch just to make sure.Posted October 26, 2013 2:35 pm
You make some good points, and I agree with some of them, we’ll just have to wait and see how things pan out. We have to take into account the promoters as well.
Abril v Rios … a shocking decision. Really dreadful. I had Abril winning every round!
Burns v Beltrand … almost as bad. Terrible.
I felt so sorry for Abril and Beltrand I wondered why I bother watching the sport anymore. But I love the fight game like a drug since I was just a little lad so I can’t stop watching. The fight game will always be dirty, always has been, it sucks, but I still love watching a great fight between two class fighters. Come to think of it there was a mad tear up this year but I forget who the two fighters were. They are few and far between, but that’s why I watch boxing, for the odd great scrap.Posted October 26, 2013 2:19 pm
PUBLIC ENEMY: GREAT LOGIC!! Exactly like you very well emphasized: no matter what, Rosado deserves respect for taking on GGG while neither Chavez Jr. nor Canelo have even hinted at taking on GGG. When their whole deal is done, it would not be surprising if both Chavez Jr. and Canelo end up avoiding GGG for the rest of their careers.Posted October 26, 2013 2:19 pm

Yes you are if you’re not hydrated enough and have been taking lots of medication during the last few days of getting down to the weightt. Golovkin has been hit far more in other fights of his than the the Rosado one. Kasim Ouma hit him with 10 times the amount of shots that Rosado did but he didn’t have hardly any marks on him at the end.
Proksa caught him clean as much as Rosado did, and they were harder shots too, but he didn’t bust up. Ian Gardner landed shots as did other opponents of his, but again his face was unmarked.
I could understand if him getting marked up was a regular thing, but it’s only happened once so far. So why not wait for some more evidence that this is a problem for him before jumping the gun?Posted October 26, 2013 1:14 pm
You are not going to get marked up because you are sick. He got marked up because Rosado had hit him in the face. It is something that happens in boxing. Like when Floyd got hit in the nose by Cotto, he had a nose bleed. This is boxing and you get hit and get bruised. Part of the job.Posted October 26, 2013 12:22 pm

Golovkin marked up against Rosado because he was ill. Abel Sanchez spoke about this recently. He lost his appetite and couldn’t eat much and was on medication. That’s why the fight was very close to being called off.Posted October 26, 2013 12:09 pm
I don’t think you read my post properly. What I wrote was that Rosado only threw a handful of punches but managed to leave Golovkin puffed up, bruised, with abrasions all over his face.
What I wrote was that Froch and Ward both have the power and attributes to bust his face wider open if Rosada cando that with a few powder puff shots landing.
No one doubts Golovkin is a good offensive fighter, but what will he be like when these two slam right back at him?
I’m just observing that he seems to mark up quickly. The patsie, Macklin didn’t land a shot, so Golovkin was unmarked!Posted October 26, 2013 11:47 am
Glaringly obvious that you focused on Golovkin’s minor facial damage and avoiding the fact that Rosado ‘the cry baby’ had his face totally smashed in.
As for Froch and Ward …
I don’t think Froch will beat Golovkin taking into account that Froch is hard as nails with a good jaw, he was decked by Taylor who doesn’t hit anywhere near as hard as Golovkin, and Taylor is certainly nowhere as talented as Golovkin.
I think Froch will get KO’d IF he fights Golovkin and I can’t see that happening taking into account one, Groves (might beat him and Froch will retire) but I wouldn’t bet on it; Groves is a bit chinny and Froch is just too good at the moment, but Groves can hit hard and has good movement, so it’s not a cert Froch will win) and two … Golovkin has his eyes on cleaning up the middleweight division at the moment and it’s more likely he’ll fight Quillin, Barker, Sturm, Martinez, and Murray, to name five. Now that could take up to two years IF they have the balls to face him. In the mean time Ward will clean up the super middle weight division and almost certainly move up to light heavy and take on the best there. Stevenson and Kovalev (now Ward v Kovalev could be a good scrap, Kov is damn good and certainly no push over) … Ward and Golovkin probably will fight and if they fight now I’d take Ward to win, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised of Golovkin won later on down the line. It’s a super fight that all ‘impartial’ fight fans want to see in the future. And it’s all subjective, some will say Ward beats Golovkin, some will say Golovkin beats Ward, it really depends on IF they fight, and WHEN.Posted October 26, 2013 10:58 am
There’s a massive difference between a few bruises and small cuts (Golovkin). A agree, but what I’m sayong is Rosado threw a handful of shots. What happens when Golovkin has to field shots from a Froch or a Ward? They’ll bust him wide open.

Probably taken out of context, he probably ”mentioned” to ring tv a bit about how it seems Golovkin’s gloves were thin, which was probably a snippet of the interview – then in usual reporting fashion an angle was established…”Rosado exposes Golovkin as a cheat!”…Posted October 26, 2013 3:04 am

Golovkin uses Reyes gloves,it’s legal 10 oz but lest padding on the knuckle. It’s they choice at talks for a fight, but dangerous too as you can brake your knuckle using this glove, others fighters who use them.Golovkin, Manny,Floyd, Marquez, hatten, cotto, magarito,Martinez, ward, the two russian brothers,Hopkins,Bradley, khan,Canelo,Morales,Donaire, rios, wider,Bert,Chavez mr and sr, pavik,Maidana,Pascal, jr jones, they are more fighters.

This is how the allegations about Manny being on PEDS started. The Mayweathers started carelessly with that. Manny was koing guys with his left hand even when he was skinny and barely eating. He always had natural power like few fighters are born with.

I am Math Ninja
Always makes me chuckle when P.Ricans and Mexicans get into it, like they think they are warriors with all this latino macho rubbish.
Guess what – you aren`t – the Hispanics are laughed at for their weakness.
Spain is pretty much the weakest European country, they lost every war they ever fought against proper European countries. They are the only Euro country that got taken over by the Muslims too.
When Napolean was whipping on Spain, they gave control of the Spanish army to Wellington to try to sort them out. First battle they line up, fire their muskets and get terrified and all run away.
THEY RAN AWAY BECAUS THEY WERE SCARED OF THE SOUND OF THEIR OWN GUNS!!!!
That is just mindbendingly gutless – this is why the SPanish are bigger jokes than the French, who lets be honest are cheese eating surrender m0nkeys.
SO what is more embarassing than being Spanish?
Getting tolonised, taken over andabused by them!
That is just the lowest of the low. You basically have to be the softest jokes in the world. SO that is basically how you Mexicans and Puerta ricans are seen by proper countries who are good at war and have proper warriors like England, Germany, Russia and Japan.
Soft little petal talk like this Rosadao cow only reinforce that.Posted October 25, 2013 6:02 pm
Golovkin has been knocking people into another world since he was an amateur. Ask Lucien Bute.
Rosado is an idiot. If he’s consulting with BHOP he needs to take everything in measured, thoughtful doses. Hopkins didn’t serve nine years in prison for being honest. Just because he’s out or hasn’t been back in doesn’t mean his scruples have improved at all.
Once, in an interview, Hopkins said, “I did so much wrong to so many people that I don’t know what it was…”
A lot of people still don’t trust Victor Conte. Do you think that just because Hopkins is a legendary boxer that he’s trustworthy? Or honorable?
No accusations. Just food for thought.Posted October 25, 2013 5:48 pm

“Anonymous”- So what you’re saying is that Rosado and his people had actually complained about the gloves the day of the fight (or the day before, when gloves are examined and chosen by both camps), and not just come out a year later and cry could. In that case he really has no-one to blame for himself, he should have refused to fight unless Golovkin changed his gloves, or he should have chosen to fight with the same gloves.Posted October 25, 2013 5:24 pm
Rosado should not have made this claim as it doesn’t make him look good, but as he was repeatedly hit with harder punches than he had ever felt before, I can understand that he simply cannot come to grips with what transpired in the fight. Rosado did fight for all he was worth, and he did not quit, an I will not forget his performance in that fight; therefore, whatever else Rosado’s shortcomings may be, I will respect him as a fighter, and I am looking forward to his fight against Quillin.Posted October 25, 2013 5:09 pm

Rosado should take defeat like a man. He took a real beating from GGG who wasn’t even at his best due to a bad flu/head cold. Rosado you didn’t just get beat, you got battered by GGG. Accept it like a man, don’t look for excuses long after the fight. If they have a rematch and GGG is at 100% Rosado gets KO’d much faster. What will he say then, GGG has bricks in his gloves?Posted October 25, 2013 4:29 pm

Shame that Rosado’s pathetic, 9 month late slurs are getting tis much coverage. Golovkin has been knocking guys cold all his life, and if GGG wasn’t full of cold, Rosado wouldn’t have felt any pain at all, because Golovkin would have put him to sleep in a couple of rounds.Posted October 25, 2013 4:13 pm
“The only way you would ever risk cheating is if you’re such a poor boxer you could never win the fight legitimately”. sounds like the profile of Cheato TriniDud. once his wraps were red-flagged, so-long KO punching power.Posted October 25, 2013 4:10 pm
isn’t there a single cornerman in PR competent enough to inspect opposing handwraps on behalf of their fighter? Cotto pulled this crap with Margarito years after the fact, as well. in fact, maybe Nazim should produce a handwrap inspection tutorial and disseminate throughout PR? anyway, Rosady should be focusing on Quillin and NOT the sixth (6th) loss of his career. in fact, with six (6) losses on his ring-resume, Rosado can’t really blame shady handwraps for his B-level status in Boxing.Posted October 25, 2013 4:06 pm
This pundit is spouting innuendo again…
Your trainer or second inspects your opponents’ hand wrapping and gloves. The wraps are signed. The gloves are laced, taped, and signed on the tape. There are extra pairs of gloves in case one pair is defective in any way. You can demand another pair.
Anybody who risks cheating, such as Cheato did, is an idiot.
The only way you would ever risk cheating is if you’re such a poor boxer you could never win the fight legitimately — and you think there’s a good chance your opponent’s team has their heads up their asses — and you’ll slide faulty gloves or wrappings past them.Posted October 25, 2013 3:54 pm

Steve Kim’s tweets from earlier on today
”I felt for Grant, he was basically accused of doctoring a set of gloves for a fighter, in a bout where both had Grant’s”

“That’s absolutely not true,” said Loeffler. “They’re not thinner across the knuckles. Floyd Mayweather uses the same gloves that Gennady uses, and Floyd hasn’t knocked someone out in a while, so it’s not the gloves, it’s the person’s power inside of the gloves.”
“Grant sends those same gloves to Floyd Mayweather, and I’m not knocking Floyd by saying that. Floyd’s out-boxing people. But just because you wear custom colored gloves doesn’t mean that you’ll start knocking people out or start cutting people or whatever the case is.”
Loeffler and Sanchez said Rosado was offered a similar pair of gloves to those worn by Golovkin.
“They were complaining, and Abel said ‘you can use a second pair,’ and [Rosado's] trainer, Billy Briscoe, said, ‘no, we’ll use these,’” said Loeffler. “Because, apparently, Gennady’s gloves for some reason didn’t fit as well as the ones they brought from Grant.”
“Billy Briscoe was there, his coach, and he had a couple of people with him. So we were having a rules meeting, and we were getting ready to try the gloves on, and they said, Gabriel’s gloves were also Grants. We started trying them on, and Billy made a comment about the difference. So, I said, they’re both Grants, they’re both [10 ounces,] Melvina looked at them. The supervisor looked at them, and they gave them the okay,” said Sanchez.
“So there was no issue. So I said, with Melvina present, and the supervisor present, ‘you’re welcome to use our second set.’ So they were welcome to use our second pair, because we had brought two pair, and they had brought two pair also. So Billy went through a 10-to-15-minute try-on session with the gloves, and then decides that he didn’t want to use our gloves. They would have absolutely been able to use a pair of gloves that were identical to ours.”Posted October 25, 2013 2:05 pm
