I have to take that back after research, other people have said it I’m sure in this and other previous threads, Stevens is getting KO’d for sure but he will decide if it happens fast or not based on if he tries to be agressive. He said he’s going to make Golovkin feel the thunder right away so,…. Enjoy it while it lasts because if Stevens runs at him like he says he is going to, this one will end quickly.Posted October 30, 2013 10:33 pm
It’s a very safe bet to say this will not reach the final round and go to the scorecards. In fact, I bet the judges leave their pens and pencils at home for this one.Posted October 30, 2013 6:55 pm
Martinez in his prime would be very interesting in the ring with Golovkin. But his last few fights have been rough outings and he’s been decked a few times. I think he’s aging. I don’t want to discredit him, because a few years back I don’t know what would happen with a prime Martinez against today’s Golovkin. Stephens has a hell of a punch. I love Golovkin but with respect to Stevens, the man can’t be counted out already. His punching power is real. Anyone with real power has a chance for sure.Posted October 30, 2013 6:53 pm
I consider him the best also. Martinez has been doing this since he got that Championship belt. Quillen also didn’t look that gray but I always thought GGG would beat him anywaysPosted October 30, 2013 5:55 pm
With Quillens performance Saturday and Martinez having the nerve to say 3G is no one for him to fight I’m crowning 3G as the best mw in the world.Good test Saturday lets see if he continues to take mw by storm and make more trained fighters soil themselves at least Stevens is up to the challenge.Posted October 30, 2013 5:36 pm

I’m a little surprised at how downplayed Stevens chances are in this fight. He was once a highly touted prospect at SM, has some pop to his punches, and def has no fear of GGG. I think he will do better then most think in this fight. Not a bias commentator here, actually have been a fan if both over the last yr and I think at this point it’s a great step up for GGG. I think triple G wins TKO 7, but not without getting rocked a few times. Can’t wait for this one.Posted October 30, 2013 9:44 am

The Asian Barry Gibb analyst.. I think you’ve unwittingly made a terrible mistake here. You obviously haven’t twigged on to not only who I am, but also what I am . Either you’re a new recruit to ESB or you lack the necessary grey mater between the old lugholes to put the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle together correctly.
Allow me to give you a little helping hand. Let’s just say I’m widely considered by all and sundry on here as the greatest poster this site has ever or will ever see. And how would you feel if I were to inform you that you were not actually addressing a mortal human being here? That you were actually communicating with a 5’11”, 172 lbs vulture? A fully mature adult male Andean Condor to be precise who is the proud possessor of a hitherto unparalleled 13 ft wingspan and who soars the deep blue azure skies of the Amazon listening to the tranquil and soothing synthesizer based music of the French composer, the maestro himself Jean Michel Jarre on his ipod, whilst they survey the forest canopy below them looking for rotting sloth carcasses to feast upon, particularly their favourite part of nourishment, the part of the sloth they consider to be the delicacy – sloth b0llocks.
PS. I hope your brother r@pes your grandmother tonight.Posted October 30, 2013 9:14 am
Macklin caught Golovkin with a straight right–I think it was in the second round of their fight– that literally stopped GGG’s forward movement and forced him to regroup. I’ll never forget the expression on Gennady’s face after Macklin landed that punch. But of course Gennady sucked it up and didn’t show that much reaction but he got nailed by a great punch.
Stevens is a heavy hitter. It will be interesting to see how GGG reacts after getting nailed by a few Stevens’ bombs—if he can manage to land them before being put out himself.Posted October 30, 2013 8:09 am

Golovkin has to start talking and challenging these guys more… He deserves big money fights more than they do and he should be more vocal about it.. They always say nice guys finish last.. In Boxing it’s easy to finish 2nd if you don’t call people out very vociferously.Posted October 30, 2013 1:45 am
So many at ESB were saying that Golovkin will never fight Stevens, but Golovkin is fighting Stevens. They said that Stevens is the best middleweight out there, but after Golovkin signed for the fight with Stevens, many are cutting Stevens down. Macklin gave Martinez lots of problems, he did not give Golovkin any problems. Quillin will never fight Golovkin. Now the haters want Golovkin to go up to 168 and 175, next they will be saying that Golovkin should fight Vladimir Klitschko!!!!!!!
Stevens has called out Ward, but Ward refused to fight him. Ward will never fight Kovalev either……………Posted October 30, 2013 1:08 am

I think it’s interesting that someone stated “GGG fronts another smoke and mirrors fight” when I’m sure the same person most like 2 weeks ago favored KO’d Chocolate. The same Guy Rosado was banging out. The same Rosado that got his faced beaten in by Golovkin. But I’d like to ask that same person: is there any way of Golovkin doing right by you? The man is having trouble getting fights, Curtis Stevens is not a well known name but he has a big punch, he laid a guy out last fight with a good record. HE,.. I’ll repeat, HE (CS) called out Golovkin. Now, having said that, had Golovkin said, nah, he’s a bum… I have a feeling That wouldn’t sit well with you either, so why don’t you come right out and say you don’t like him and there is no right answer or right thing he could do for you to not think negatively of him? This way someone here would at least respect your total honesty as opposed to your aimless shots against a great fight.Posted October 30, 2013 12:07 am

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)
BEE-J doesn’t know what he’s talking about as usual. 3G is a small MW who can easily make 154lbs. FACT: He walks into the ring weighing less than most of the top Jr. MWs, so can easily make weight.
He’s been at 160lbs so far because MW is historically one of the few big money glamor divisions in boxing. Jr. MW has never been as prestigious as MW, HW or WW. 3G has been calling out FMJ for nearly two years at 154lbs. And FMJ won’t even mention his name as if he doesn’t exist. Floyd needs to defend all his 154lbs titles/straps like a REAL champion and stop ducking 3G.
You can’t lose to Castillo, then shamelessly duck PacMan and 3G and still be one of the greatest of all time.Posted October 29, 2013 6:29 pm
GGG fronts up for another smoke and mirrors fight against…..who is he? Oh yeah Steven Curtis….whats that….. Oh Curtis Stevens. The reason I don’t know who he is would be because he is so far down the rankings he shouldn’t be getting a crack at a world title. Even if that paper world title wasn’t won by GGG but given to him by the organisation. You won’t see GGG fighting any contenders or champs because he is a ducker. Numerous names have called him out, challenged him, but he keeps on bluffing the band wagon jumpers by making excuses and unrealistic dates knowing these other guys are booked. GGG is a fraud who is taking your money and laughing at you. All aboard the hype train. Choooooooooo Choooooooo!!!!Posted October 29, 2013 6:26 pm

It’s Me, Ernie
Easy win for GGG…Posted October 29, 2013 5:48 pm
The immediate goal is not Ward or 168… It’s to unify 160… Quillin could make himself available right now—but no mention of GGG comes from his lips. Martinez talks about facing GGG but it’s just talk. Obviously he’s trying to line up Cotto—so Gennady should go hard after Quillin and do him in first.
As soon as Gennardy flattens these 2 middleweight pretenders he can target Ward and 168. The fights that everyone wants to see are the fights that seldom get done because a predilection for ducking is becoming a penchant among modern pugilists. If it looks, acts, sounds, and runs like a duck or a chicken … it is usually not a Harpy Eagle.Posted October 29, 2013 5:43 pm
All I know his last fight he came in at 170z and I will keep saying he has never made 154 in his pro career because he hasn’t. Actually GGG has never made 154 in his career. What is funny is how these bigger guys keep calling out the smaller Floyd. But he has never made that weight so there is no proof that he could make that weight with out being drained. He should make that weight and fight someone just to see if he could make it. With Rosado they wanted a catchweight. They didn’t want to go to 154Posted October 29, 2013 4:59 pm

It’s abundantly clear you feel very insecure and threatened by spectre of Golovkin coming down to 154 and knocking Money May’s head into orbit with his iron Kazakh fists, which is why you goons keep trying your hardest to push him as far away from him as possible.
Even the thought of him residing one division north of Money May has got you guys breaking out into a cold sweat. You all keep repeating the same lines all the time.
