Time difference. lol laughable and silly.

Ya mama

My boxing theory the better boxer will win. Slugger vs boxer slugger vs slugger
Who ever box better will win, why? unless you can hit the other fighterb you can’t ko him.
And boxing is decided by points. The jab. In the face hide the hard ko punch that on its way.And PAC is a better boxer than rio.
PAC used to be a boxer last was the cotto fight after that he found out nobody could exchange with him and his team decided to be more of a slugger.

I follow been PAC from a long time and when the pressure is on he preform
Way Better. PAC was ko from a punch he didn’t not see coming as all ko punch are.
He was not defeated first, so he has no fear, if he does get ruff up he doesn’t doubt himself that it’s out of his control.
It rio who will doubt himself when he find PAC is getting stronger and stronger as the fight goes on after being hit.
If PAC fought Marquez as a boxer not as a slugger he would win, as as slugger he stayed for the counter punch, if PAC goes back to his roots cotto and Oscar days fighting style
Only then he could beat Floyd as younhave to touch a opposite first to be in the match.

Yo mama, If rios losses I think the escuse it seems is already being made , will be because
Rios didn’t have enough time to “adjust ” the time difference…

A question for boxtra. and tumbo. Just a observation, Both of you pride yourself on being right in predictions,
You know both of you have set yourself up and left yourself no way out if manny looks remarkable and wins on all score cards, remember how many times you both say no fighter has ever returned after the most brutal ko in boxing? Express ally fighting a larger and real WW.

So will credit be Given if we see a more focused pacman from the old days totally defeat rio as real boxing fans you are? remember hate the source arum, not the fighter?
Or will we see excuse after excuse and back tracking on rio boxing progress?
This should be fun after the fight as both have left yourself no way out, your credibility will be shot forever if no credit is given, as you were the most vocal Pressing others that manny will Be ko. Again badly. You are setting yourself up. So if he shine that would make him better than remarkable no?

Well being out there a week ahead of time isn’t really gonna get you adjusted to much. Like Rahman, he went what month in advance to fight Lewis so he could get adjusted. Going a week in my opinion won’t get you adjusted. But we will see.

Posted November 16, 2013 2:00 pm

So if rios loses it will be because he didn’t adjust the time difference ? Nice one !

Me personally, if a fighter damn near crushes me, and the last bell saved me. And they still award me the fight. I couldn’t go on the rest of my life, not career, but the rest of my life without fighting this guy again. Right now I wouldn’t be calling out no one, but the Russian. Come on with that crap Bradley. Man up! I wouldn’t care where the money is. I’ve hits to fight dude again. I have nothing against Bradley.

Te tumbo, I was waiting for someone to say PAC does it all the time, and it’s true. But he comes here a month before go fights. George Foreman mentioned it as a factor. I think Marquez might have mentioned is a a factor in the John fight. And Roos might be mentioning next week too, lol…

Posted November 16, 2013 2:40 pm

te tumbo

Pacquiao* has been making the time-zone adjustment all along. in fact, my entire life fighters from throughout the world have traveled to the U.S., adjusted, and still put on great winning and losing performances. IMO, time-zones shouldn’t be a factor in this bout. it’s never been before.

Marquez is from Chupasebo Mexico…

Posted November 16, 2013 2:06 pm

Yeah we’ll see. Rios better fight the fight of his life.

Posted November 16, 2013 2:02 pm

DEXTER MORGAN

Marquez and his camp are cowards… Pac gave Marquez 2 rematches after beating him and Marquez can’t give him one? Why not? If you were clean you could get a k.o. win again right? Or does he feel deep in his heart the truth which is Marquez barely got out the 5th round (which in my opinion was a worst beating than the 3 knockdown rd. in their 1st fight), he landed a punch that clearly was aided by Pac man coming in. Marquez got the k.o. but shows bright fluorescent yellow streak down his back not to give this man a rematch. I believe Pac has earned that respect.

He’s not already there for no reason. If he didn’t need to adjust he would be heading out there tomorrow.

Well, his achievements above his natural weight (feather/lightweight?) are definitely impressive. Hatton was undefeated at 140, the division in which he was the reigning Ring champ. PAC crushed him. … Cotto was only ONE pound heavier in his fight prior to facing PAC, and again Manny destroyed him. The marg, clottey, Mosley and Oscar victories were all complete thrashings against top ten fighters. And 99% of sane people think he clearly beat the undefeated Bradley too. Weakened or old, all these guys were top ten fighters at the time. Floyd wins fights. Manny in his prime dominated opponents in exciting fashion. Floyd is a true welterweight. Manny is a lightweight, a small one at that. Pacquiao was fighter of the decade, a title that RJJ, Leonard, Duran, Ali etc also received.

Wait and see…!

Posted November 16, 2013 1:42 pm

PEEJ

He doesn’t have to adjust to much because they are going to be fighting at the same time they would be fighting here

Posted November 16, 2013 1:40 pm

Tomato Can

Things are lined up for PAC to win: The terrible storm that struck his home land, will motivate him to win for his people more than normal. He fighting in close to his own time zone, and Rios needs to adjust to that time zone. Rios will more than likely be sluggish come fight night and Manny’s speed advantage will exploit it big time. So Rios’ only chance will be to knock Manny out. Will lightning strike twice in back to back fights for Manny? I doubt it…

Posted November 16, 2013 1:29 pm

PEEJ

Actually Pacs achievements at welter are full of smoke and mirrors. He has only fought Mosley and Clottey at welter. Everybody else was a catchweight. Since people like to give flack to certain fighters for fighting at catchweights then he deserves the same flack. Oscar wasn’t a welter and but he said he would make the weight and he did but looked dead so I really don’t count that. You can if you like. But who else has he beat at welter? Cotto after making him come down in weight, Marquez who is basically the same size and Pac and there has never been a clear cut winner till the 4th fight. Though I thought Pac won the first 2 and then lost the last 2. He fought and lost to Bradley and of course KOd by Marquez. This so called good run at welter is really no existent.

Posted November 16, 2013 1:25 pm

PEEJ

You are not naturally a good defensive fighter because you are athletic and move back and forth. Pac gets hit with a lot of punches. Hit with a lot of body punches. Pac is no defensive wizard and this is why he is always coming out of fights looking beat up even when he wins the fight. Sorry but there is just too much proof and I have seen way to many Pac fights to think he is really good at defense.

Posted November 16, 2013 1:21 pm

Popkins

Although PAC has had a few fights at welter Rios is clearly the naturally bigger of the two. Brandon’s a good size for 147, where as Manny is really only a lightweight. Bearing that in mind Pacquiao’s achievements at Welterweight are unbelievable. I can see why he was voted fighter of the decade.

Posted November 16, 2013 1:07 pm

REM

Peej Bradleys opinion of Pacs defense says it all a guy who is as athletic and moves like Pac is naturally a good defensive fighter.

Posted November 16, 2013 12:47 pm

PEEJ

The main question is if Pac can take a punch. All this garbage that sparring partners are bringing it and are getting whooped and sent home really means nothing. It all comes down to can he take a punch from 8 oz gloves with no head gear from someone who is trying to take it to him. If he can then Pac should win but if not Rios wins by KO. I am going with Rios by late KO about 9 or 10 rounds.

Posted November 16, 2013 12:40 pm

te tumbo

SRMINIMO, Pacquiao* remains dangerous but potentially rusty and definitely damaged. IF Rios does emerge as the much bigger fighter, i can see him effectively crowding, discouraging, and Punishing Pacquiao* inside. emphasis on INside. Rios will be outclassed if Pacquiao* is able to impose his spastic darting style and potshot his way to scorecard win. he may even flash-KD Brandon along the way but i’m anticipating the former not the latter scenario. “Bam-Bam” effectively placing himself in Manny’s* grill and shattering the bondo covering his memento from the Marquez fight. i’m certain that’s what Team Rios is anticipating and preparing for and i’m confident that the Biggest, Strongest, Rios ever will be able to execute and score the KO. just look at the guy(?). He’s Ready. so is Pacquiao*, but for a different career threshold.

Posted November 16, 2013 12:29 pm

srminimo

Te Tumbo- I do agree we will see the best Bam Bam ever. It has to be that when you’re fighting the biggest fight of your life. But for Pac, it sort of is the same. He has his career and his country over him as we speak. The man is on a mission and Rios fits to a tee the style that Manny prays on: aggressive fighters. I actually like Bam Bam, but I can’t see him defeating a still fast Pacquiao. I’m with Bradley (who has changed his tune quite a lot, btw).

Posted November 16, 2013 11:45 am

PEEJ

Rem I could care less about punch stats. I watched the Bradley fight a couple of times and Pac didn’t land nearly as many punches as punch stats claimed. And with those punch stats you post don’t forget to add the other punch stats when Marquez clearly let in those in the first couple of fights. But like I said punch stats mean nothing, especially if you get KOd. And I have maintained that Bradley lost the fight with Pac. It was close but he still lost. And Pac still has no defense. He is all offense.

Posted November 16, 2013 11:44 am

Happyboy

Easy fight for for Pac, Rios is a cherrypick and is nothing special, got outboxed by Abril and Alvarado. Just a set up to redeem Pac’s loss and open a new market for boxing in the east, since GBP & Showtime are putting on pressure on HBO/TOP RANK.

@ adrian – yes sir i will. But if he loses badly will u admit he is finish? Either way should be an exciting night. Enjoy my friend!

Peej hope you read Bradleys take on Pacs defense. Btw did you know Bradley only connected at a 19 percent clip 34 -19 in Pacs favor wow. Then Pac held Marquez to a 21 percent clip while Pac landed at 35 stellar defense almost Mayweather type #s.

TJ sorry but incorrect. If you watch the knockout again Duran was still moving and trying to get up. Pac was sleep for minutes. Way different. Not the same type of knockout. I used to think the same thing till some told me to watch again.

I pick Paquiao by mid to later round tko , like Bradley is.

Posted November 16, 2013 7:33 am

Mr Gav

Pac has 2 straight defeats but one was a very bad descion and Manny got caught by Marquez, but I think his biggest problem is what is happening in the philipeans right now and pac man has political ambitions so his love for his country will or may be biggest factor. I think pac is miles above Rios but a fired up Rios will give pac a lot of problems and be very competitive, but I see pac winning by tko round 10

Posted November 16, 2013 6:42 am

pacquiao was too much for rios to handle I think with out those one punch happened with marquez fight ,marquez might be quitting in his stool.let us reserved our opinion after this fight and see what pac thing will change our opinion either positively or negatively.kudos everyone!

Rios is catching pac at the perfect time. After 2 loses and a devastating k.o. if pac isnt care he will sleep again. Rios is big, strong, young and hungry. In nature the strong lion kills the old lion. I like rios by late k.o. props to bradley for keeping it real. Was hoping he rematch pac and finish what they started.

If pac wins then you will give him credit for beating a young lion right ?

Thank God for the Marquez sleeping pill that he gave Pacquiao,
cause that drove a lot of delusional Pac fans out if here.
Otherwise wed be reading Pac fighting Rios and both Klit
Bros on the same night.

Pac beat Bradley, everyone knows that.

Pac was on his way to knocking out Marquez, Marquez knows that which is the reason he refused to rematch Pac. Marquez was ready to go, then landed a very lucky punch. I want to see a rematch and I want to see Pac Vs. Void, a fight which Void as been running from for years now. Styles make fights and Pac is the wrong style for Void. Void knows that………..

The great Manny Pacquiao will win this fight in stunning fashion and will then destroy and KO Bradley once and for all. He will then follow up and KO Mayweather should Floyd find the courage to take on Manny. Manny Pacquiao will make believers out of all the doubters and haters. This man will not go away. Rios will find out early how big a mistake he made by taking this fight. Fighters will be put on notice. Trust me .

the Biggest, Strongest, Hungriest Rios ever. Brandon has delivered some sluggish performances in the past but that won’t be the case at 147lbs and if Ariza has contributed ANYthing to Rios’ speed and punching ability, it will be another advantage for the Biggest, Strongest, Hungriest “Bam-Bam” ever. Manny* will be treading a minefield with a malfunctioning detector. Rios by KO.
