TARK

Trainers last a lot longer than boxers–but their careers don’t last forever.. Steward may be done but he had a great career.. The only guy I could compare him to is Angelo Dundee.. Dundee trained Carmen Basilio in the 1950’s and was still working in 2008 as a trainer for DLH in the Pacquiao-De La Hoya fight … so over 6 decades.

Emanuel Steward is one of the nice guys in boxing. Having this guy in your corner is one of the best things a boxer could ever have.

I hope Emmanuel makes a full recovery. I may not always agree with him as a commentator but he has still done a lot for boxing over the years and seems like a good guy overall. Plus he is one of the greatest trainers. But it does seem like he is more sick than Jim Lampley made him out to be. I hope he doesn’t have cancer or another serious illness. If he does, I hope and pray that he beats it.

I agree 100%. Boxing needs Emanuel Steward.

The Heavyweight Champion of the world needs him, all his friends and familiy.

I hope he will recover soon and we see Emanuel Steward back in the gym. Great trainer and person.

Wish Emanuel a speedy recovery. And I thank the author for informing us of his health condition. Not gonna get preachy but prayer and a possitive support group are key ingrediants to a successful recovery.
